Finding the Equation of the Circle Given the Center and Radius - Standard and General form

- This video tutorial will help you to rewrite equations of circle from standard form to general form and vice versa.
Standard form: (x-h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2
General form = x^2 + y^2 + Cx + Dy + E = 0

i think the correct answer is x^2 + y^2 - 6x + 8y since he forgot to combine the 2 constants which would cancel out each other

sir I think you forgot to combine the other constant which is 9
What happens to the 9?
He forgot to add it to 16. If we calculate 9+16-25 the answer would be 0. I think the final answer is x²+y²-6x+8y=0.

sir if the standard form is (x-h)²+(y-k)²=0
then why does the answer is (x-4)²+(y+5) why its y+5?
since the given for k is negative, which means negative - negative=positive
How to get -6x &8y?
To get -6x, simple multiply x and -3, their product is -3x and multiply it to 2.
To get 8y, multiply y and 4, their product is 4y.
Then multiply it by 2 and that is 8y.
You can also try this pattern
(a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2
