Hi, Huge Congrats about your UA-cam Service/Upgrade ! I have a Linn Kairn that really needs a full RECAP because it was built in 1992… it has been upgraded with the SLIMLINE PSU when I bought it... 12 years ago I replaced the BAT before any leaking/damage on the PCB… A couple of days ago my Kairn refused to startup again… So as a first step I replaced the 10 caps of the Slimline SMPS U25 but it wasn’t enough to get it fixed… The Green Led went Green ON but only for a few seconds then it fade away...? So despite the fact the Green Varta Mempac still gives 3,7V I think that after 12 years it has to be replaced before any damage… Careful inspection and also smelling the board doesn’t give evidence of any cooked component… I have to get +18V and -18V from this Bipolar PSU isn’t ? I also replaced all capacitors in the front panel… Maybe I have to replace the 2 blue RIFA X2 also… Let me know what you think about my issue Kind regards Bernard
Excellent modification for sound quality! It appeared there was a layout for a linear supply and I was hoping you were going all out and toss the SMPS:)
Great video! That noise floor is pretty decent for it's age also no ripple like with a regular PSU. Was considering a Kolektor or Wakonda but I won't be using them with Linn power amps :/
Just a thought but hopefully the owner is not planning to use this in a Linn active system, which is what the three sets of outputs are for. That system uses separate power amps for low, mid and high and it possibly won't work very well now with one output set to a lower gain.

Nice job 👍 and thx for sharing
Is that a bipolar 1 positive and 1 negative PSU (+/-) ?
It is, yes.

I knew someone who had a pair of Linn Kunt power amps and a Linn Klit Pre Amp
