1/2 a cup of Oil
1/4 of a cup of White Sugar
1/4 of a cup of Popping Corn
1-2 Drops of Gel Colour
Salt to Taste

I'm going to use this for a baby shower Saturday. I'll make it blue add some candy eyes and some cookie crisp cereal. Cookie monster popcorn. I saw it on Pinterest but now I can make good blue popcorn, I will try it!!!! Thanks Steve, so happy I found you.

I tried this recipe yesterday and LOVE IT! I was looking for a fun idea for my wedding guests and this is it! Light and airy with a great crunch. I have some in a ziplock bag and am checking it daily to see how long it stays fresh, so I know about how many days before the wedding I need to make these! Great play on the colors, love the chef coat!
Thank you Jeannie. I made some of these for a couple of UA-cam Friends. Damie and Louna ua-cam.com/video/OVtSA7-lNqw/v-deo.html I made them in the colour of the Girls Hair.. They lasted surprisingly long, over a week and they were still firm and crisp. The Packs have to be Sealed well after they cool. Any way, please let me know how well they go for you.. I would love to see them at the wedding :o) Have a wonderful day..

Thank you soooo much I've been struggling to make coloured popcorn. This is the easiest method I've seen so far. Got it right the very first time. The key thing is just don't let the sugar burn people,gotta keep shaking it. 👍

in the pan it was purple.. when you took it out of the pan it was yellow then when you put it in the bowl and shook it was green????

I've been looking for rainbow popcorn videos for a while now and up until yours, have only found ones where you pour the sugar over the popcorn after its cooked. It has come out.... ok. I just tried your way of doing this though and WOW! What a difference!! the popcorn stayed cripsy, and the caramelized sugar came out tasting much more like Kettle corn than the other ways did, not to mention SOOO much easier getting the color mixed over the corn (trying to stir cooling sugar onto popcorn is nearly impossible!!). Definitely using this method this weekend for my daughter's birthday party!!
Pouring the heated sugar syrup over the popcorn made it JUST sweet. Cooking the sugar and popcorn at the same time gave it a nice toasted flavor. I wanna eat ALL this right now! I haven't tried adding the jello to it yet, but its so delicious as is!

Im going to try this recipe. I've tried other ones on UA-cam and yes it made the color but the popcorn is very sticky on your fingers while you eat it. His doesn't look sticky. Thank you will try 😉

Your popcorn is good. And my favorite color is blue.
An easier way to put the colour in is to colour the sugar beforehand, I've found that it gives a more even colour.
Just the colour you mean not the flavour.. That works, did you think mine was uneven then ? :)
No, but it can be a shortcut for people who may not have a lot of time, you can colour the sugar well in advance :)

AussieZach88 Zach, I would go with the simple Salted Caramel, if you want an easy intro to see if you are able to get it? Then graduate to the Bacon, it's a must :)

Master Food It's hard to say but if you have the same ingredients as I do it should work. Are you doing something different?
