The Epidemic Of NHL Coaches Being Fired
#NHL #Hockey #Coaching
Martin St. Louis is the 6th longest tenured coach? He's been in the role for, 25 MONTHS? Good lord......
What a wild time to coach in the NHL
The NHL should be praised for its dedication to recycling.
coaches want to continue their careers it isn't like a one and done deal always. They can dictate how long they want to coach and teams can decide if they are fit or not
Thanks for the chuckle. I appreciate your humour.
In the NHL, they just get recycled. Peter Laviolette has taken 6 teams to the playoffs and won a cup yet has been fired 5 times
I'm pretty upset with Keefe getting fired from the Leafs. He deserves another chance.
I know that with the Senators head coaching changes have happened often. They have had 14 head coaches in their 32-year history. 2 of those coaches were fired & returned on other dates to coach that franchise again.
Everytime I see a Coach hired for 3 to 5 years I always think "Yeah right" because they are just tossed away like that KFC left overs you got last night and forgot about on the counter until you got home from work at 5pm.
Maybe the coaches arent`t the problem, maybe the general managers are. A great example of a horrible GM is Blake in Kings. (Kings fan here)
you put a picture of keefe? he needed to be fired or let go lol
Jay Woodcroft back in SJ please
Was he there before ?

@@coachrobwille4176 yes, but not as head coach.
as glad as i am about his success as a gm, I hope Barry trotz returns to coaching eventually so he can try and chase another cup and so he can get his 1,000th win!
Confirms how much of a nimrod Staios is to go with Green so quickly? I highly doubt all of them would've said no since they're looking for something to fill their plate anyways. Claude Julien was striaght up asking for the job and was passed on.
Good news for fired coaches is that there are many other job openings in the league.
Coaches and general managers are hired to be fired. It is eventually going to happen to every person in these positions.
ATTENTION UNEMPLOYED COACHES: You want job security? Contact True North for a job as coach of the Winnipeg Jets. They've only fired 1 coach since 2011 because Ownership and GM make it more of a boys club than about success and accountability. Maurice quit mid-season 2-1/2 years ago, and Bowness just "retired." Now boys club owner Chipman and Chevy will likely spoonfeed the main bench boss job to their assistant coach Scott Arniel instead of being aggressive and getting a more experienced coach with some playoff success. 🤦🏼♂️
Solid content
NHL Warming, recycling is the norm.
In Rod we trust
That’s a lot of coaches
Yup!
