    I had no idea such a thing existed!!! Think I might have to try one for myself as it could be the pano solution I was after. Have a good break and I'm sure I'll be seeing you on my next trip

    I use my Chamonix half-dark slide occasionally as I think of yet. I should use it more as the AR is the same as a 4x10: 4x5 Pano is 125mm by 50mm for an AR of 1:2.5

    I agree with your conclusion about the half darkslide and B/W. I too have several things going on right now that have taken me away from photography. We are remodeling a bathroom and for some reason that project is really kicking my butt.

      The list of things I need to get done is huge , plus I have a new darkroom to build then I can start to do more prints on my channel
      Good luck with the bathroom!

      Thanks ! Yes I think shot 1 was the best , I also think if I had not used the panoramic dark slide I might have got a really nice 45 aspect ratio shot or at least had the option to crop to suit

    Been wrestling with the idea of getting the half dark slide or just pony up and get a 6x17 roll film back. I am leaning toward the roll film back. Hope to see you back soon. I can understand how videoing can be a distraction. I have thought about starting my own channel. Though mine would probably be boring. Just about the photography. No b roll, no me walking past the camera to just have to turn around to pick it up. Just me wondering and taking pics. All the best to you in the new year.

      People seem to love all that B roll , I'm always torn tbh , I'm also not a fan of watching people driving , cooking breakfast , waffling on and on to get to the next ad break and make a bit more money from the ad revenue . I'm an impatient viewer so I try to make videos that get to the point as quickly as possible with minimal padding out
      Judging from my stats I should cook more breakfasts , add endless B roll and waffle on endlessly! ?

    Liked the print of the engine houses, was it Rinsey?

    How well does the half dark slide create a sharp line with the panoramas or does it create light leaks to the other side of the film? Also what material is the half dark slide made out of?

    • @AustenGoldsmithPhotography
      @AustenGoldsmithPhotography  Рік тому

      No you get a very sharp line and if you seat it correctly a small gutter through the centre of the negative to divide the sheet , its made from the same material as my regular dark slides . I will give it another go but I did find it rather fldddly

    I was hoping to see someone use the half slide. I have an interpid as well and wondered if I wanted to buy the slide or not

      I really did struggle to get it in and out smoothly. It's another bit of clutter in my bag , if I was shooting expensive colour I would use it more
