This is my local park and I can’t wait until it’s open in a couple months time

I don’t get why there isn’t more hype for this coaster. The coaster community goes nuts over anything erected at Blackpool or Alton, flamingo is a great park and has made some solid investments over the last few years (NOT hero tho cos that’s terrible) yes it’s pretty much the same as colossus but not everyone that lives up north can be bothered to travel all the way to Thorpe park for the chav fest that is that place, yes Alton might be the first to get 11 coasters but I doubt it because u can virtually guarantee the removal of spinball before that happens. Flamingo is my local park, for the relatively short time it’s been operation the growth to catch other parks like blackpool and Alton has been nothing short of immense, yeah it’s a bit concrete and steel but every year that changes and I can’t think of another park in the u.k where year on year such improvements are made. People that compare this park to the big ones and especially the merlin ones need to remember that they have the footfall, and the money to do all that big wow factor stuff, if you visit flamingo in the off season it’s easily possible to ride everything At a very nice pace and visit the zoo also. Plus unlike the others, the parking is free, and there isn’t an up charge for virtually everything else in the park (Alton towers has become terrible for this) think this is a bold move for flamingo and I congratulate them for it. Ive ridden colossus many a time but to have one pretty much on my doorstep with better restrains?? I’ll take that any day of the week! Great video by the way.

Great post and some interesting thoughts. Definitely looking forward to trying this out. I don't mind Colossus at Thorpe Park to be honest. I probably prefer it than most people I normally speak to do. With better restraints at Flamingo Land it could potentially be a top 10 UK coaster for me. I agree with some things you said. I think with Hero also they tried something different even if it didn't work out the way they intended. Still hope they add a woodie to complement their line up. And that sort of ride really fits a zoo theme I think.

The history of this coaster is much more interesting, as it has been in storage for years due to the park that was going to install it not being able to afford to install it. (I believe due to some insurance claim for an accident on other ride.
Nvm, just heard you mention it at 4m mark. Lol

Flamingo Land was rumoured to get a wooden coaster for a while so this potentially replaced a GCI or Gravity Group coaster

A shame that didn't happen but this will probably still draw crowds for the park.
