Here are the changes made to Aim-120A/B CxK 1.4 --> 1.425 (1.8% drag increase) WingAreaMult 1.3 --> 1.275 (2% reduction in wing area modifier) Fin AOA 33.25 --> 24.2 degrees FinsLatAcclel 40.19 --> 42.26 deg/s (+2 deg/s to the speed the fins can move) Booster Thrust 21.8kN --> 22.3kN Sustainer Thrust 13.2kN --> 13.485kN Max Loft Angle 7.5 --> 20 degrees In practice, what this means is that Aim-120 doesn't pull as hard off the rail as it did before due to fin angle, but still ends up hitting ~30-33G after 2-3 seconds of flight, while maintaining (Or even extending) its range. In every shot you would have taken that isn't at super close range and high-off-boresight, the missile will still hit. It is NOT "Just like a Sparrow" like I've seen some say, and using it for just a bit makes that very apparent. The missile accelerates to peak agility much quicker. The missile itself is much more responsive (Aim-120 takes 1.14 seconds to fully reverse its fins while Aim-7F/M takes 1.86 seconds). The missile actually has a high enough G-Limit to take full advantage of its fin angle at higher speeds (Sparrow pulls tighter initially even if it's less responsive, but will grow wider at high speeds as the missile quickly hits its G-Limit against hard targets. This does NOT mean Aim-7 isn't agile. But it's less capable overall).

AMRAAM got buffed this was not a nerf. It now have more effective range and more energy to kill targets, no matter what kind of maneuver you do instead of nocthing, hovering or hide on terrain, the missile will kill you.
My style of play is highflying. I don’t come below 20,000ft or 6000 meters unless I’m forced to. I play the game like it DCS. They 100% nerfed its range. I was shooting 30 mile shots before the nerf, now it’s gotta be within 24.

Dont see a problem there the J35XS is mich worse off rn it is a worse dogfighter than the F-5. Having 3 times the missiles wont give u anything when theyre rear aspect and u cant shoot them amyways

The point in raising the cap is 9.0-9.7 were getting screwed hard by uptiers.

On an f-15 going mach 1.2 at 9km altitude the NEZ is around 35km, even after a nerf it's absolutely cracked

The range got increased but the instant aoa got decreased so it should perform better at longer ranges
