I dislike the return to a live audience.
Show quality has declined IMHO.
I really liked it when it felt like Stephen was talking directly to me instead of pandering to a studio audience. Their reactions slow the pace of delivery. Stephen’s tone has changed from intimate friend to carnival barker. I feel like a spectator instead of a participant, if you will.
Oh well.
Nothing about Covid-19 was good EXCEPT late night talk shows.
Late night talk shows became immensely more interesting when they were played intimately to the home viewer.
I was, for a brief time, engaged and fully entertained, and I miss that.
What ever happened to Ken Burn's infamous, middle-aged, Supercuts, salad-bowl haircut?
