Isn't she talking hypothetically? Why will PC get same pay as SRK? She says when a man and a woman work equally hard they should be paid the same. But how many go to theaters to watch SRK in DON and how many go to DON to watch PC? It's 90% or more tilted towards SRK. And this reflects in the BO figures of lady oriented movies. Very few actresses could pull audience to cinema halls on their star power -- Sri Devi, Madhuri. Who else?

The principle of equal pay for equal work is key here. While SRK may draw larger audiences historically, PC works just as hard and deserves equal compensation. Industry biases have favored male leads, but this is changing. Actresses like PC are becoming significant box office draws. Pay should be based on effort and talent, not just box office numbers.

As per public knowledge (assuming it's true) Prabhas was paid 150 cr for Kalki while BigB Kamal Deepika were paid 20 cr each. Deepika has too many hits in recent times. She was in Pathan Jawan. Yet only 20 cr. Why! This is fair pay coz that's her pulling power in comparison to Prabhas
For a blockbuster hit telugu film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari it seems Chiranjeevi and Sridevi were paid 35 lacs and 25 lacs. This is fair pay coz those days the craze for Sridevi was over the roof yet she can't pull as many people to the cinema halls (in AP) like Chiru can
If PC wants pay like SRK it is up to her. She needs to build her brand via ADs, social media, solo heroine roles with super content and blockbuster results, and so on. Else it may take lot of time.
This is the situation in hollywood too. Someone like Meryl Streep must've been paid heavily when she was young. But can not be the case with all actresses. They have to prove themselves in terms of talent and skills and results and most importantly "can they attract huge numbers to the cinema halls?"
