Just read on twitter that samsung will no longer update his Pro series tablets. I got angry busted the warranty&knox and installed cyanogenmod on my device! First I tried the Heimdall method, but after installing the usblib with zadig and executing the CMD command it failed. Hours later I came across your videos and everything went fine with these simple methods.

Got Odin to finish but my tablet made the unconnecting sound just as it was finishing, and it did the same thing when I tried again. It now won't boot up and is displaying "COULD NOT BOOT, ODIN MODE" and towards the bottom includes "KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0X1" and "UDC START". It won't turn on properly and I'm fine if I'm not able to root it and put CM on like I had planned, I just need help getting it back to working order.
Work perfect. Only issue I encountered was that supersu got stuck disabling knox. Rebooted the tablet and tried again. It worked. Thanks,

Thanks for all the videos! Just a quick question. I have rooted pretty much every device I have once the warranty expires. Is there any reason to NOT root this? I hear a lot about KNOX and I've never used anything to do with it since my tablet is my own personal tablet with no affiliation to my work. If I've never used KNOX in the almost 1.5 years I've owned this, is there any need to preserve it? Thanks again for all you do!

I tried but it a didn't add the device in odin, I tried with Samsung usb drivers it didn't add it, then I installed kies and it didn't again, I can't find the problem...It didn't even connect to the tablet to kies... what is going on??

When I pressed yes to disable knox it failed. What can I do to solve that problem? I've tried rebooting a few times and nothing.

Even though rootchecker said my tablet was rooted, it's now saying it's no longer rooted. I was pretty excited to root my tablet :(
Also, the binaries won't update at all.
Not a step by step instruction video for everything you need. Extracted but does not contain any of the driver files. I open oden and it's just blank. Not sure where you got those but there not in the CF root root junky downloads. The link to Samsung Drivers doesn't take you to Samsung drivers.

Something went wrong for me...
I got the latest firmware from desktop.firmware.mobi/ (I believe my build was T320UEU1ANG1_T320XAR1ANG1)
but during the process Odin3 showed [FAIL] in red and the process stopped on the tablet.
I'm now stuck and on the boot I see this message:
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery in Kies & try agian"
I believe, I've soft bricked, because I am still able to get back to download mode, but I'm not sure how to recover from this.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?

My device is Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, T325 LTE model
I currently have problem rooting using T325 at the CF Website
It say DONE at odin, and i reboot my tablet, Super User not found in app drawer.
So i factory reset and redownload it. Done the same method and still Super User not found in app drawer.
tried this, it is now stuck on the android logo/downloading/do not turn off target, and I can't get anything to work or reboot. Trying the power button just brings it back to this view. I have a brick...it won't even shut down.
"could not do normal boot" in red at the top, UDC START in red at bottom of messages in upper left corner. Nothing else.
Any suggestions? It is stuck on this view and won't reboot. I've run and re-run Odin several times, ends up the same place...

Fortunately I've been able to return it to running on kitkat by holding down the power button and the volume-down button at the same time until it asks if I really want to change OS. Then it's the volume down button again to cancel and return to kitkat.

I Have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (8") its a T334A. cant seem to get it to work. every time I run Odin and select file, it fails. what could I be doing wrong? or does my tablet not support this root method?

I am from the netherlands so my english is maybe not very good.
When i bought my tabpro it was original straight from the shop , then i want it to root it i did that with the chainfire root special for the tabpro 10.1 it was something called picassowifixx.
Now i want it to restore it to the original device , but after the flashing with the official rom/firmware it keeps saying at this app : hardware info it is saying device : picassowifi and product : picassowifixx ,
How can i delete this ? also with the ota update it is saying device is bricked , in download mode it says ; original firmare and official samsung rom zero flash counter because i reset it with triangle app.
Who can help me ? the most things i know myself but i never had this before ,

weird.... I followed all procedures exactly the same and no signal pop up from Odin 3.07. I've been doing this several times and ........... I DON'T KNOW. I have no idea :(

Jong Wang Seng My attempt to root mine wouldn't work either and it was stuck without being able to shut down even. Here is how I returned it to kitkat and full functioning: at the same time hold down the power button and volume-down until it reboots and asks if you're sure you want to change the OS. Then volume-down to cancel rooting/OS change. Good luck!

As indicated by Shoeb ODIN shows up as AP. The rest of the tutorial works fine :)

Rooted just fine with these instructions then attempted to flash cm 12 lollipop with TWRP and for whatever reason it tripped Knox. Now I can't root or flash. Any ideas?

Hello I want to know if there is root for my galaxy tab 4 sm- t230nu verzion 4.4.2
Besides there is a different way to root that will allow you to flash a rooted Kernel on XDA-Dev's having flashed that, to run the TowelRoot Apk that will then root the Device. Of course you'll still need to download Super Su (PlayStore), along with Root Checker (Also PlayStore). The Knox Flag according to my Phablet (SM-T325), is still 0,0 i.e. Stock & unmodified. But, I still get the occasional warring that somethings fishy, when I try to use root, to get rid of unwanted Apps, and or update AdAway.
EDIT: Actually the System Status has changed from Official to Custom... but, the Flag is still at 0.0 though.
If i root my divice, can somehow unroot and restore them as it was when i got it? Like this i dont lose my warranty if i wanna use it. Can this be done?

For any of you wondering if this method will work on the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, the answer is....YeS! You will obviously need the correct file for the 10.1, but the method is the same. One thing to note here....before rooting, I had been running an app called "package disabler pro". It's a paid app that disables all the Samsung bloat, including KNOX. I got absolutely no KNOX warnings whatsoever after rooting. I'm sure the counter is still tripped, but even on reboot, there's no KNOX notifications at all. No boot loops, no erratic behavior from the Tablet. It's all good....

Worked ,... a little trick , if the superSU dosent desable the knox at first try you need to force the supersu process ,go to play store try to download and whe you receive the message that already have have the program click in open and try it again, dont know why it worked to me.

OK, I tried this (Samuel's trick) but I couldn't do anything in Play Store - it showed two buttons, Update and Open, but tapping either one did nothing. I then simply rebooted the tablet, opened SuperSU again, and now it disabled Knox in less than a second. I also had the problem of "Disabling Knox in SuperSU never finishing". So at least for me, a simple reboot did the job!
The computer showed it was added and everything but when I clicked start it was just sitting there and after a while it just said failed

I was actually checking this video out to see if I could use my pro 8.4 as a phone. From what I understand, it comes with the snapdragon 800 which is said to have an LTE module. Is this possible? If not, what other features would be of benefit from rooting this tablet (i.e. right click menu, overclocking, removing unnecessary spyware/factory installed programs, etc.)? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This looks a bit complicated for what I want to do. Does anyone know if there a way to install .ttf fonts on the tablet without root access? I have some German fonts, which I am sure are not going to be available through the Google font options. Right now I seem to have downloaded them to /storage/emulated/0/Documents/Kurrentk.ttf. Supposedly they are supposed to be stored under /system/fonts/. I just want to move these buggers, but don't see a way how.
I mean I guess I could try to do all the stuff mentioned in this video, but for one I have never sorted out how to decompile programs from repositories when they don't automatically reconstruct themselves as programs. It just sounds a bit much for my skill level.
I'm just thinking of things I want to do once corona is over, and if I get a chance to travel to Europe I'd like to do some genealogy. I think it might be useful to have my tablet and be able to type names in the old scripts on it to sort out what documents say. Anyhoo...it's no big deal if I can't....
Im trying to install the drivers but there are no videos to follow. When i download Samsung drivers is it being downloaded to the computer are tablet? How many files should it be if so because my computer has multiple files (14 total that downloaded)..Also odin3 v3.12.3 looks totally different when i open it, is are no file download of file dump located to the right of the log. can you please help me
I also followed your video on how to install drivers but there is No option for andriod debugging either for this tablet and the drivers wont install automatically.
Thank you very much...used root checker and got the congrats root access is properly installed. Fortunately, I did not have to install usb drivers. If you encounter an endless loop when trying to remove knox in super su just reset device by powering off then switching on device with power button. Try disabling knox with Supersu and it should work. Thank you very much rootjunky.
Hi there. I have just purchased the frontier s3 gear and then realised that my pro 8.4 isn't one of the supported devices to use the Samsung Gear App for the gear s3 frontier. Do you think if I root my pro 8.4 to marshmallow that this would help with this problem?
