.. Also you forget the economy. Norwegians are paid more per hour when it comes to the work .. That levels out how expesive it is. Meaning you have a great economy at the end of the day. Norway has a better system than the country this amatur talking here has :) Have a great day :)
1 - I don't mind the climate. 2 - I don't mind the darkness, it's quite fun and cool to have such differences across the seasons. 3 - Ok, this is a problem... But a good planning can handle that. 4 - That can be handled with a good planning as well 5 - Ouch. But that's the price for a good quality of life... I can take it. 6 - That's not much of a problem. 7 - I don't mind it too much. 8 - I already planning on learning norwegian. I like to learn new languages. 9 - Um... that could be a problem... But I guess not a big one. Ok... Confirmed. Moving to norway! 😃👍
5- High taxes just means that you are forced to work for the government to follow their wishes, it takes your freedom. Lower tax countries tend to have the best developed places.
As a Norwegian having more than half my life in other countries I agree with you in many things. When I come home to Norway from time to time I think it's the cultural things that's difficult, in Asia people are more social and always something happening while in Norway people sit in their home (in small places). Their happiness is to take a walk on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for making this video. A word about the travel/location part, The most common way to go from Oslo or Norway to Copenhagen/Denmark is by ferry/ship, which is faster than by car. Also, some people like to travel from Norway to London, the UK as well.
Thank you very much for the insights. The taxes may be high but seems like at least the government takes very good care of their people. We pay plenty of tax here in the United States but i don't feel that we get much in return.
Lol, I am a farmer. I wouldn't do well in Norway. Plus I dont like cold weather. I actually live on a mountain where the sun shines most days and has mild weather but has all 4 seasons. Working outside with all sorts of plants, vegetables, fruits and animals requires good weather most days and plenty of sunshine. Sorry No Norway for me.
Norway is way more than Oslo, the climate vary quite a lot depending on where you are. The top reasons many can't live in Norway is 1. Cold climate. If snowy winters ain't for you, better avoid Norway. Very snow secure, except for Bergen and Stavanger. 2. Cost of Living. There is a return in high social security, but the Nordic model comes with a cost and that is not going to change. 3. Empty space. The population density is the lowest on mainland Europe, so if you love crowds, Norway will feel very empty. All this space can be a shock to urban people, you may feel lonely, the silence of nature can scare you. You do find noise in cities, but on country side, lots of empty space and silence. Living north of Trondheim, means you in Arctic and that is only for a selected few.
No Amazon, not able to get shipments from many online stores. High tolls. Lack of diversity. Homologation is the key. Culture and rules fighting excellence
I order things from foreign websited all the time, and what do you mean lack of diversity? 1/5th of our population is from Pakistan alone, and we have alot more from other countries
@@Torbert_ Other websites often have less choice and can be less reliable. I live in Oslo and I know that 1/3 of the population is not Norwegian. But still, lot of people follow the same habits, there is a tendency to Homologation to Norwegian culture. Of course there could be even more lack of diversity. I feel here diversity is not appreciated
@@Torbert_ 1/5 of Norway is from Pakistan? That's not true, you don't know what you're talking about! Norway is way milder overall compared to Sweden. Oslo does not have more than 23 degrees celcius? :) whoever made this video needs education. Wherever your from :) Not even going to point out why Norway is considered the best country to live in. There are reasons for it.. How cold it is depends on where you choose to live. The climate has veriations compared to location. Amateur hour at its best!

The 3° downside is the only downside also for me. I'm italian but I don't give a fu*k about the weather

You can make the next videos about moving to/Upsides/Downsides of Finland, Denmark, and Sweden
I live in Finland. Norway would be a move to a warmer climate.
Thank you for making another video about Norway!
Please make more about Norway and Nordic countries

But be a traveller with foreign currency just thesse days, is cheaper than earlier. Cz u get more NOK just these days.
Tax is the number one drawback for retired persons . Its just too much
The third downside is the only real downside in my opinion
Bro, How long does it takes you to Edit this Video?
Video editing maybe 1 h. I have a lot of practice and an efficient workflow
Its every expensive here like switzerland
I see no downsides with our mother nature!
