- Daily VLOG: It's Friday today, so Rachel had the day off work. She started the day by taking her car to the repair shop, to fix and issue with the traction control system. After that, shopping for Father's day and a quick stop to pick up some fresh soil for the raised bed, that is plagued by what we think is herbicide reside. After that, a little grass mowing, and some sun-bathing. When Todd got off work, we setup the gametrail camera to see if we can figure out what's digging up our tomatoes. Quick stop by to check on the bees, and then some lawn mowing before the rains move in. Rachel also spend some time showing how she processes our strawberry harvest to preserve them.

Good morning mom. Senengnya saya mau liat stroberi🍓luasnya kebun nya mam.
Senang Anda menikmati video stroberi! ♥
When I plant roses, I always throw in a handful of bonemeal or bloodmeal with a handful of Epsom salts...they LOVE it and it really keeps them blooming...
Awesome strawberries
What a great surprise this morning to see you. Love watching!!!!! Have an awesome weekend. ❤️❤️
Surprise!!
That's a lot of strawberries! I like to freeze them too. The kids love smoothies so we go through a ton of strawberries. 😀
I love the new weekend videos!
That is an amazing strawberry harvest! I can’t wait to grow them next year. Strawberries are so expensive to buy down here. 🍓🍓🍓
We're from the eighties era as well. The sun does feel good. I think sometimes the damage from that gets overhyped. Eat more antioxidants. 😀👍
Heyyyyy guy's !! I watch you all the time , was surprised to see you here :)
I just recently found your channel and it has become my favorite. I totally agree about being in the sun. I also soak it up as much as I can. Nothing feels as good as the sun warming you up. Apart from a great tan, the vitamin D is beneficial.
Welcome!! So happy you are hear and yes give me all the Vit D
Best way I preserve Strawberries ? I eat em as I pick em,LOL Jus kiddin :P God Bless :)
I like the shorter videos so I can watch more often. Can't wait to see what you catch on the trail cam.
Always thankful when you can watch
The 80s I was still a kid but my brother always layed out after slathering himself in baby oil lol. Man oh man how I miss the 80s. Great time.
could be a woodchuck a gopher a squirrel place screen around the base of your plants and stake it down with ground staples or Sprinkle cayenne pepper heavily about 3 inches around each plant Repeat this process on a weekly basis and immediately after rain to replenish the supply. Pepper acts as an irritant to many intruding animals, which keeps them from digging up the soil.
I SO look forward to having more strawberries in June. We’re just starting to get our first berries this year. Also, loved your “plant based” shirt in the beginning. 😋 that would be so fitting for us!! -Jenn
Yes! I thought it was a Gardening t-shirt, I was hip on the lingo. FYI, I'm not a vegetarian so I hope I don't offend you sweet people, lol
Love strawberries we love to eat them fresh I also freeze some and then that to request for my son for strawberry jam so we make strawberry jam with organic honey. I love to see what you allow been doing since your big events
👍👍👍👍❤
👋😀
Beautiful garden!! My guess is that you have a vole problem. Hope you catch what ever doing the damage.
I have something making holes in my yard, too. Mostly in the mulched areas. I have raised beds and, so far, I don’t see holes in them or plants that have been dug up like yours. I’ll be curious to see what you find!
I don't mind long videos. These are short compared to Roots and Refuge's hour long garden to tours. I myself enjoyed the 80's, know exactly what you are talking about.😊
80s Sisters!
Have you thought of using blood meal around your tomato plants in an attempt to keep critters from digging them up? It helped with my asiatic lilies and portulaca.
Look up eating for Sun screen. We need Vitamin D and not only are most sunscreens toxic they block our ability to get Vit D. I did a bunch of research on this when my Granddaughter was born...worth checking out! I'm an 80's "sunkissed is a healthier look" gal too😍
Could you all listen to yourselves - I was born in 1951- sub tropical Queensland Australia- We lived on our surfing beaches watching boyfriends ( now husbands) surfing- HELLO fast forward quite a few years - Greatest killer in Australia is Melanoma from smothering ourselves in oil & laying in the sun -sunbaking like a chicken on a rotisserie - yes we all think the sunscreen will protect us now but the sun is stronger now. Cheers Denise - Australia
I like the shorter video idea. I’m also so busy this time of year, it’s hard for me to commit to watching longer videos.
Sorry about your tomatoes being dug up. You may need to get a trail cam or a trap. (Ha! I guess I should have watched the whole thing first!)
Haha, proof you didn't stick around for the 15 mins, we set up a trail cam in this video, lol. I understand the busy time and appreciate you just checking in with us!
Yes, I did stick around, I just commented before I had watched it all.
How about taking the weekend OFF. ENJOY yourself. BLESSED Father's Day🌴🌴☕☕🀄🀄🔯🔯
The strawberries were from your garden❓ They LOOKED delicious. Nothing like FRESH picked berries.
GOD BLESS YOU CHOW from MICHIGAN
I think we just make take Sunday off
Does Todd have a game camera? It could help you see what you're dealing with. We have a skunk Momma & Babies "hunting" on ours & they leave a ton of tiny dug up spots...its almost like a squirrel dug the hole to hide something and changed its mind (so didn't fill in hole/cover his treasure).
Haha I obviously commented before the end of the video...go game camera lol!
Do you have armadillos there? I use blood and bone meal and kitty cats were digging around plants to eat those
No, no armadillo in Michigan. We will hopefully catch something on the trail cam
That 1870's Homestead can’t wait to see your culprit. This is the most bizarre garden mystery ever!!
Whatever is the easiest way for u guys
I hope you’re not cutting the grass in flip flops?
