Loretta's version is just as good as Tammy's, both are really great. Loretta has a softer and sweeter voice and Tammy's voice was a little louder and a little more distinct. Both are spectacular.
Well what’s funny is that Loretta is the one that actually did stand by her man. Tammy married five times and divorced four times. I don’t think Loretta necessarily has a softer voice, nor have I ever heard her singing described as soft or gentle. Loretta was firmly rooted in the Honky Tonk era. They have similar approaches to the song. What Tammy had that Loretta did not was the tear in her voice. Loretta always sounded strong where Tammy always had that suggestion of vulnerability.
Sometimes it's hard to be a woman Giving all your love to just one man You'll have bad times, and he'll have good times Doin' things that you don't understand But if you love him, you'll forgive him Even though he's hard to understand And if you love him, oh be proud of him 'Cause, after all he's just a man. Stand by your man, give him two arms to cling to And something warm to come to When nights are cold and lonely. Stand by your man, and show the world you love him Keep giving all the love you can. Stand by your man. Stand by your man, and show the world you love him Keep giving all the love you can. Stand by your man.
and don’t forget about kitty wells!!!!! kitty wells and jean shepard inspired loretta and patsy and loretta and patsy inspired dolly and tammy! they’re all great at what they did/do
@@rosscampbell9373 actually Loretta inspired Dolly and Tammy Loretta was before them and I never forgot kitty when I look at the time framing the era of that time there was kitty patsy Loretta Jean the Carter family Jan Howard and Skeeter Davis there wasn’t many girl singers when Loretta came to town Tammy and Dolly both have stated Loretta paved it for them
@@michaeldeponte8066 i made my response sound wrong! i’m so sorry i thought it sounded like loretta inspired dolly and tammy but it didn’t! We are agreeing on the same thing but my response was wrong! I’m so sorry!!!!!!
the band really makes the difference in most of these classic country tunes...the girls voices are usually gorgeous but the band decides what's hot or not

I love Tammy's version but it means more coming from Loretta because she lived it...Tammy once said "I should be singing Loretta's songs and she should be singing mine" because after all Due did to Loretta she stood by him and Tammy left her men. Which I don't blame Tammy they were jerks and that is putting it nicely.
When she sings Patsy Cline she beats her, and the same thing happens when she covers Tammy. She's the best in the business. Love Tammy and Patsy, but Loretta is on a higher level.
+Angelo Rinaldi i love patsy , tammy and loretta.. loretta sure has the more country twang in her vocal.. patsy was a cross over and tammy well the lady had the best set of vocals, but truly all 3 are just so special.. in there own way
My grandpa loved her! In my feels at the moment. RIP Loretta. Love you gramps
RIP to country music's first lady 😭
Tammy and Loretta were very very close friends...Loretta does a good cover of this song and does it proud.
Both of them were close to Dottie West also. I miss all three of them so much. God Bless- Jason.
And she did stand by her man
RIP Miss Loretta
Rest in Heavenly Peace Loretta.
❤️❤️❤️Loretta❤️❤️❤️ The best singer there ever was or will be. She nailed this classic!!!
And Patsy❤️🌹
We'll miss Loretta
Love you loretta. I will stand by my man..and got his north south east and west covered and every point in between..I WILL 💜😁
This song brings me to tears every time
RIP QUEEN OF COUNTRY ❤❤❤

No this is pitiful
Both versions are great, but I like Loretta's version.

This is a 👍 version,Loretta could hold a note !!
probably the best version next to Tammy's. course I adore both these ladies!
I love this song. But this version makes me want to go to sleep. Good night !
Is that an insult?
Прекрасное исполнение песни, я в восторге. Песню надо уметь чувствовать при её исполнении. Здесь это исполнено в совершенстве

I felt Tammy's version more. You could hear the emotion and depth in her voice! From the heart. Respect to all, just my opinion.
I have to go with Loretta she is so amazing.
RIP. Much respect. ♥️

I,Love thus Song,i bei proud of hin,i Love you Babe 💋💋💋
Loretta is a boot-leg country singer, she just gives it to ya, whether you like it or not., no messin.
Loretta can sing just about anything with great ease...but I like it better when she tells us gals to stand up to your man...not by him.
Theres enuf witches around...a rel women is preferable.
Stand up to us? That's how divorce happens. Y'all should never have a reason to fight
A lot of women nowadays could take a page out of Miss Loretta’s book!
RIP Loretta

Charles Matthew Farthing she stuck by the last one and it cost her her life and her daughters their inheritance
Charles Matthew Farthing it’s Doo
Charles Matthew Farthing I remember reading that, lol.
Agreed
Love Loretta version best......
Great version of this song great singer
RIP!
Stand by your clam
Lmao
One of my favorite songs. Could be because i'm a self destructive man like she sings about.
huh that doesn't say in the lyrics.
멋집니다
I love you
good
me encanta esta canción me gusta más está version
Nice cover.
Stand by your tweets!
Parralyzed gay
fantastic cover
Who's here after sleepless in Seattle

C'mon. I love Loretta and she's fabulous but Patsy Cline's voice is legendary. No one tops Patsy in country.
Oh yes, Loretta, Jean Shepard and Kitty Wells top Patsy for sure. Their voices are pure country. Patsy, well, is more traditonal pop-country.
***** I just said Loretta is better than Tamy and Patsy. I love them all, but no one can deny Loretta has something more.
***** I am not fussing and I love them all, just saying the truth.
+Angelo Rinaldi i love patsy , tammy and loretta.. loretta sure has the more country twang in her vocal.. patsy was a cross over and tammy well the lady had the best set of vocals, but truly all 3 are just so special.. in there own way
Loretta's version!!
There he goes
Sissey spapacy
She is super it is a toss up between Loretta & Tammy Jamie Great choice
Jake. Elwood.
She should of left this one alone no one can sing it like Tammy
Taught Bible over 60 years. Shepherdchapel on YT explains whole bible God bless you
Much better than Tammy Wynette.
You're crazy
fr
Beautiful song. The only good version of this song is Loretta Lynn's version.
Ridiculous, this version can't hold a candle to Tammy's
Tammy s better and Patsy the best.
Tammy Is Better
This version SUCKS! It has NO HEART, what so ever!...and WHERE IS THE STEEL GUITAR???? You can barely hear it!
