I remember Ken Holtzman pitching against the Detroit Tigers in Tiger Stadium. He almost completed a third no hitter when Billy North dropped a routine fly ball in center field to spoil it if memory serves. I always like his follow through on the mound, it was very unique. He was great on that A's staff with Hunter and Blue. They were the "Big Three". I also remember Ken pitching for the A's in the first major league ball game I saw. He was matched against the Chicago White Sox, and Wilbur Wood was on the mound for the Sox. Reggie Jackson hit a blast in that game(off Wood) that almost went out of the coliseum. I think Ken won that game with Darold Knowles and Rollie Fingers in relief.

Holtzman threw a "No Hitter at the Reds, and he was then with the Cubs I do believe.
Where did all that hair go?
I'd like to hear from Kenny, instead of the fool reading his career highlights.
