Can you believe I found spam, spam and spam here in Japan.
I am truing two different spam musubis and one potato chip made from spam.
Family Mart spam musubi from Okinawa (Okinawa style has spam, egg and mayo).
I think I got the other spam musubi at the 100 yen shop or supermarket.
I got the chips from 7 eleven.
I really appreciate your “Food Review” on these Happy Mondays.

Always check your expiration code dates at japanese grocery stores. For some reason, they don't check or leave old stock on the shelves.
Hi Niki. I saw you took Hawaiian Air to go to Japan. Next time look into the new airline called Zipair. It's really cheap. It books up really fast. Even the business class called full flat is a lot cheaper than the other airlines. I've been looking at it since I heard of it.
We used to eat spam with cheese, in Canada,back in 70's. Have you ever heard of this? It would have little squares of soft cheese throughout.

Sorry to hear about your hand, hope you recover fully soon. Would love to try the chips - a combo of 2 of my fav things 😋 You can handcarry the chips onboard or try to pack clothes around to cushion them in your luggage.
For the chips there is another way. Open each bag,take the air out,then fold down the top of bag-like accordian and scotch tape the top to the bag. It will stay fresh and hold together. Will need enough space,but much smaller.
That's interesting that spam chips should be the best out of three items. Not always a fan spam flavored food. You got me curious now. I did enjoy spam wonton and spam katsu. I wasn't a fan of the spam flavored mac nuts.
Here I was thinking it was a Hawaii thing.
Only Okinawans like spam in Japan.

Spam is salty and rich already, why even add mayonnaise? And if they add mayo they gotta add a contrasting sauce that's like sharp or sweet or acidic or spicy or something.

No matter how many ways we can cook spam, I never like it. Spam musubi looks so good in HI, but sadly, my taste buds disagree 😢
