I’ll never understand the value proposition behind these in-game creations. A single quest costs 500 credits, or about $5, while the entire base game is $60. That means a single quest is nearly 10% of the price of the full game, which is even more baffling when you consider that the Shattered Space expansion pack will be around $30. How can a single quest be worth $5 when an entire expansion costs $30? It gets worse when you see cosmetic enhancements or minor DLCs, like ship modules, priced at $5 as well. This is starting to feel like what Maxis and EA did with The Sims, where every little addition adds up. To get a decent amount of content through creations, you’re looking at spending hundreds of dollars, while the base game itself is only $60. The whole pricing strategy just doesn’t align with the value offered. I might support this if, a year or two down the line, they release a "Best of Creations" bundle for $30 that includes 20 creations. That’s something I could get behind. But selling single quests for $5? I know it’ll appeal to some, but honestly, this feels like an egregious ripoff.
wel the people creating all this need to get payed to plus other expenses, its not cheap to make games rent buildings and buy all the tech needed,5 bucks for a desent questline isnt bad,its better then paying 25 bucks for a mount or costum in some other games. believe it or not starfield stuf overal isnt that expensive, yes it adds up and yes it could be a fuw bucks cheaper am not disagreeing on that but overal its not that much,if you want a good nights drinking a bottle costs 15 bucks plust 1,50 for a cola bottle, thats 16,50 for a good night.
This shows the absurdity of $60 still being expected for major titles not the price of a single quest line. None of you who complain about DLC prices do it because they are actually expensive, you do it because you feel entitled to a $60 or $70 base game with hundreds of quests and tens of hours of content and by that logic a single quest should cost pennies.
The Witcher 3's expansion had 90 quests for 20 dollars, that's about 22 cents per quest, by Bethesda's logic an expansion like Blood and Wine would be priced at around $450.00, since clearly a single quest is worth 5 dollars to them.

The horror aspect of the DLC could be a good thing. There were some creepy moments during the Vanguard questline with the terrormorphs which I thought was some of the most engaging content in the game.
I did enjoy Vanguard quest, it felt like a different game, it was scary and showcased what I think they originally wanted, but fell short of for the rest of the game.
It was nearly scary but then the genetically modified super murder alien got stuck on the geometry of a pipe and ran in place at an impossible angle, reminding me I was basically playing a total conversion mod for oblivion. That was $70

What exploration? Seeing the same 5 or 6 different POI across every planet? For me, the rover only highlights how little there is in the game outside the main story and a handful of decent side quests. The rover speeds up walking distances that should never have been forced on the player in the first place. Just bad game design, imo. There are so many amazing little nuggets of enjoyment in Starfield, so many nice touches and impressive features, but it's all hung on a lackluster framework, the game just doesn't glue together as a whole. I’m not being funny, but these quests should be added into the game for free. But Bethesda should pay the creators to use them. If they want people to play the game then they need to actual invest in it properly.
That's the problem, these quests are not from Bethesda but from the community. And I think the creator gets paid from everyone who buys it but I can be wrong.
there a company imployees need to get payed for the work they do,i dont mind paying a fuw bucks for some extra quest and mods, cant expect people to work for free all the time, all the updates and the buggie is already free.
I would make a DLC that would make us build our own company becoming CEO that could rival Ryujin or create a space empire taking over systems for our faction as emperor
My biggest problem with Starfield was the fact that exploration was boring so yeah this does nothing for me. The procedurally generated POI’s just flat out suck. We love hand crafted things to go explore. Not even the worlds with cities have much hand crafted exploration. That is everything to me as a Bethesda fan.
I like the procedurally generated and integrated points of interest, but there need to be 1000 of them, not 50 or whatever it is now. Also they need to add 1 hand crafted location to each planet, maybe a few a month, do them right, spread over the next decade of the games life.
I agree. Paid mods should require a Bethesda seal of approval. That wouldn't guarantee it's worth buying but at least it will provide some security. You should also have a limited time to return a mod purchased accidentally - even if it's a 5-minute return window.
@6:12 saw that coming. Players whine about mods not being profitable or rewarding for modders, so it get's monetizable and then instead of mods actually getting better or modders being rewarded, the bottom feeders scramble like cockroaches onto an old pizza. Suddenly every script kiddo, github lurker and open source ripper is pushing shitty mods, asset flips and copy/paste superfluous spam. That's your venerable free market for ya, folks. When it's this easy to push out garbage and get paid, you're drowning in a flood of lame cash grabs and outright larceny. At least when mods were free the only motivation was creation and not $$. Indy studios and artists and more prevelantly corps fall to it so why should the common rabble be any diff?
A few things about the Rev-8 that some may not know. If you are overburdened you can drive in the Rev-8 without incurring the penalty you experience if you are walking. It also lets you fast travel to your ship if you are overburdened, which I find to be the better benefit since if you have the personal atmosphere it makes being overburdened less of an issue. Also, you can use the blaster on the Rev-8 to harvest solid resources.
I love the spooky & creepy space stuff. Some of my favorite parts of Starfield were the creepy locations like derelict ships, alternate dimensions, etc. Give me more space horror in Starfield!
They should focus more on space stuff... I'm talking about alien stuff... Imagine a creation about an abandoned ship that has terrormorph eggs on it. Be something like the alien 1 movie.
@@mara_jade021Still they could add terrarmorphs on a abandoned deserted ship. The main missions are boring... They need to add better missions like something that's inspired by a movie like event horizon or maybe something similar to dead space not something that is boring like the ryujin missions.
@@Mantiscular12 Then knowing what the eggs hatched the comparative makes no sense as all galaxy ships have them is a common past there is no relationship whatsoever with alien incubation system.
Quick reminder, the sniper rifle you got at the end of their last payed DLC is still broken even after this update you still cannot reload it after you fire the first four shots.😂
I hope they use it as part of the main story about where the artifacts come from. Im ready to see humanoid aliens in this game. Tired of seeing humans everywhere i go
This was exactly my thought, I married Andreja and got disappointed because she said I’m not a believer of the serpent so we could never t perform their marriage ritual. But I had serpents embrace. So it felt like a useless perk. Also Va’Ruun is against unity so I had hoped you could get a different ending but the game just forces to end the game by going through unity. I feel like they could have had so much opportunity to create more special interactions between andreja and other characters.
I LOVE the vehicle. It’s supposed to feel like a planetary exploration rover and it nails it. Exploration just got 10x better.

What, no it doesn't? The quest is amazing, but Starfield has literally over a hundred hours of good quests. The issue with Starfield has never been shitty quests, lots of the faction storylines are great

If modders do not like paying a certain % off their sold mods in Bethesda's games to Bethesda, then the modders need to get together and make their own game and then they can collect 100% of the profit off their sold mods.

What about a quest made by a mod author instead of Bethesda? Like the bards college Quest expansion that was developed by the Sim Settlements mod author for Skyrim that costs 10 dollars.

On PC using mouse and keyboard, I find the vehicle pretty much undriveable. It handles like you're driving on a near frictionless surface with greased wheels. As long as you can keep it airborne, it's okay, because at least then it has to travel in a straight line.
Not a big fan of the paid mods, but I find the combat satisfying and the buggy makes exploration more fun by mitigating the slog of running tone every POI. Just because if it, I actually do wind up clearing out more of them. All this talk about reinstalling it... I'm playing it now. I never uninstalled it.
So Bethesda says, buy our broken game for 100 bucks, than pay us 5 bucks for every quest that is actually properly made! Anyone who buys this, actively makes gaming worse for the future. This should be condemned to the point where Bethesda comes out and apologizes!
I just don't even care about Starfield anymore. Adding a vehicle to a game as boring as Starfield does nothing for me. Bethesda really failed on this one. Let's hope it never sees a sequel and they finally focus on Fallout 5.
If you can't take Andrea with you in Shattered Space, I'd be disappointed. Think of the possibilities to get an insider's view of the politics you're dealing with?
Also I hope the serpents embrace perk will finally be useful. In the base game it’s completely broken. I had hoped they would add an additional ending too as house Va’Ruun do not believe in the unity. So you can’t enter it and end the game normally without being forced to go through it to end the game. For me personally i don’t want to go through unity I just want to end the game with the title screen and not new game+ . And If I would want to play again I would just create a whole new character with different perks or something.
As a creator myself, let me just say it's just going to take some time. I know a lot of creators dip their toes in by making some small things first then have more ambitious projects lined up behind them (myself included). Kinggath's team is amazing, certainly the most high quality stuff, but they were also in the program quite early and have a veteran group of developers. I'm sure over time we will see larger projects that feel like good value for the money.
i would actually prefer if they made one system of planets that are very detailed instead of many different galaxies that are just generated and the cities there are dead and not worth visiting
You must have missed a lot of the modders saying this game wasn't worth modding. Which can be witnessed on Nexusmods as most of the mods for this game suck.
The Escape mod was absolutely wonderful. It was the best quest line in the entire game for me lol. Well worth the money. I would've paid for a similar stand-alone indie game off Steam and felt good about it. Rev-8 was just a funner way to explore boring content at first but I've found myself having increasingly more fun with it. From boosting off jumps in low gravity planets, flying through the air and shooting flying creatures to landing in an enemy base and reeking absolute havoc, it's been pretty awesome. I set up an outpost outside of Akila city and when I need supplies, I hop in the rover and head into town. The immersion is there. Wish we had gotten it at launch. Looking forward to Shattered Space and the traditional handcrafted elements from Bethesda.
Juice added some wine in his water recently, and is less a Bethesda chill than before. I's refreshing to ear him being more objective while not become a hater or a fanboy.
That Skyrim mod is crazy! LOL. I did the same thing for my Starfield mod but actually bought some of the 3D models and released it on Creations/Nexus for FREE!
Why copy the awful Halo controls? Actually worse. I guess GTA controls are too difficult for people used to coding for horse controls. Everyone's already completed the game though. There was never a need to survey at the best of times. After you've discovered the handful of different structures, flora, and fauna, in the first week of play you realise there's no real exploration in Sf. The buggy isn't going to find anything new.
This I had also hoped they would add a new ending. One where you are not being forced to go through unity and do new game+. I just want to end the game in title screen and if I feel like it i will create a new character w different perks. But new game+ just boring to do it all over again.
I don’t know if Bethesda’s writing has always been this garbage or if it’s just starfield that sucks. I mean after playing Baldur’s gate 3, starfield’s writing and gameplay feels so amateur. I remember first time playing starfield and I tried to shoot through glass thinking oh the glass will shatter, nope, did not shatter at all.
Been trying to play starfield again knowing that the DLC is coming but in all honesty this game just doesn't have that Bethesda charm to it. Planets and story are boring, cant even bring myself to finish the main story because I find myself fighting to stay awake. They needed to keep the universe compact and made them worth travelling to rather than the same procedural generated locations.
They need to make their npcs look more pleasing to look at and get rid of NPCs crazy eyes. Also, make the ability to change the look of the main characters. The Ship Thief in Neon should be made as a character option you can add to your party!
Fixing my complaints. horrible base and home building... literally just get rid of both. boring procedurally generated planets and a weak resource management/crafting system. Literally they could get rid of the whole scrap and crafting system and just sell all the nick-knacks you find and use money for crafting. And get rid of that second crafting station you need to craft to unlock stuff you already paid perks for. Take the random location and tie them to random dialog, books, or terminal entries and make them fixed destinations. I love collecting magazines, but having them at random locations and getting multiple of the same magazine kind of kills the vibe. The last part is the missions... especially the main missions. Having 24 missions to find artifacts and and 24 temples to visit with only maybe 6 having anything interesting happen at them sucks. It is boring and repetitive. The NPCs need better side missions and there should be more romanceable characters. Flesh out the side missions a bit more... in other words lots more missions. Then have some more ship building as this will be your home. They have fixed a bit there, but more is always better. See for me a DLC is kind of worthless if they have not fixed the base game. Also the game has a hard ending and the New Game Plus BSD absolutely sucks. They could get rid of that too. So do you start over a new character to do the DLC then if you completed the game or play it in that annoying NG+? Or am I going to have to start over a new character and deal with the issues the base game has. I am not saying the game is horrible either. The combat is solid, the game was for less buggy than a normal Bethesda game, the NPCs they had were pretty good. The voice acting was top notch, the ship construction and combat was decent, some of the cities were done well with good side missions and such, and the art style was good.
I find it funny how the same people that complained about not having a vehicle seem to be the ones that have now got what they asked for and complaining that it feels like an afterthought, not like forza, and just spawning next the ship. Even though they got what they asked for.
"Paid mods are here to stay." And whose fault is that? I'll tell you the ones that buy them. I'm done, enjoy your gray slop as the payment for it grows higher. I used to enjoy beth games but at this point they have done everything to make me stop caring which is painful to watch but lazy money making does this to a dev. I can no longer sit by and wait to see what they do to their later games as I know it will be worse and i am sure at some point it will become so costly just to play the game even the gray slop eating people will come to the same end point I have, which is this is payment for mods is gross and too costly.
That's the last thing you'd want, believe me. Every big modder than they hired, they didn't put to good use... Imagine hiring the author of Interesting NPCs and putting them to work on FO76...and having all NPCs be as bland as in Starfield 😴
The rev-8 got me back into starfield after about a month of not playing it, im pretty happy they added it. Especially since its a free addition. Something i really think needs to be added is custom space stations. Nevertheless, ive been enjoying this game since day one, but it has definitely gotten better.
Just need to know one thing, are they adding hand crafted points of interest? Did the fix base building? Did they reduce loading screens? Did they fix the borked space combat? No. Well get back to me when they do, until then I will play a complete game.
Not sure what's worse at this point. Bethesda dropping the ball with Starfield with it's paid mods and buggy mess. Or listening to JuiceHead gragle on Todd Howard's man gravy while praising Bethesda for doing the absolute bare minimum.............and still fucking it up
The second gun gave a unique freezing mod for my one run so far and if you use legendary recycling mod it leaves unique mods on so both guns can be super useful.
Paid Quests... Bethesda literally made an RPG where you need to buy the quests... I get it, if you got the game on Game Pass and you can afford a few "goodies" since you enjoy the game so much that seems (on the surface) okay, but doing so you are encouraging a very toxic behavior, from both the Community and the Developers, trying to nickel and dime you at every corner. Back in the day we had something called "Expansions" where there was massive influx of content for said game for $10-20-30, now we have low effort cash-grabs with youtubers and content creators praising this behavior like it`s a good thing, we deserve the world we live in.
You're acting as if Bethesda isn't doing "expansions" like shattered space, and most likely a few more like that in the future. I don't like all the paid quests and such, but that's just the state of the industry as a whole.
@@kennykenevil57 So here`s the main issue with the "DLC Quests" VS "Expansions", the content being sold to you via DLC Quests could`ve been part of the Expansion, could be a dedicated DLC Quest package where you have like 10-20 new Quests and things to do in the game and that would be considered a "light expansion" for a few dollars, but they are selling really good quests for $5 a pop, value-wise depends from person to person, but they are literally selling you 1 Quest line, in a game that sits in a very weird/boring state where there`s not enough content there, but they are selling the content back to you... The industry is like these because people keep buying, otherwise this mentality would`ve crashed by now, look at Concord, look at S. Squad KTJL, and look at Black Myth Wuokong, Baldurs Gate 3 and The Witcher 3, full game, no BS, no MTX, just a good game for a fair price, if we don`t vote with our wallet we deserve everything that is happening.
My primary problem with the base game was the quests. Yes the boring exploration was an issue, but the main aspect of the game was not all that interesting. So many of those quests were "Go talk to this person" or "find these things that are clearly labeled" with a few fights in between. The factions were interesting enough but their quests were not. The only exception was the UC questline, that was one I actually enjoyed. But now all the actually good quests I have to pay extra for? No thank you, it all just feels dirty. I beat Starfield once, and unless they completely overhaul the game with quests we deserved from the beginning, I am done.
What the fuck? You think they're going to add in an entire multiplayer framework and build out events and content on top of that...for free? And that is a bad thing? Is this a bot comment
@@JuiceHead3 not a bad or good thing. it's just the way of the industry these days and when you have a large empty game at your hand the best way of milking it to death is to go live service eventually. i could be wrong though. or there may be a different version of this in multiplayer only dropping later on.

@Nemoticon honestly bro I do get your issue because I was the same after playing for a month when I pre ordered it so I did pretty much have the same view because I was anoyyed about how good the mantis mission could of been I felt certain story lines was rushed and not loved and there is quite alot of that feel in the game mechanics so i do get your problem i just looked through it then 8 months later I thought why not give it a chance and play the game for what it is and I'm enjoying it to be honest and looking forward to the DLC and when I get all the powers and skills I want then il use MODS to make it my game and hopefully in that time there should be a ton of new DLCS and vehicles and other cool things but hey bro hope you can get the sake buzz from the same I do after having kinda the same views

Typical bethesda exploration being gutted is what killed this game for me. I also hate the generated NPCs that serve no purpose at all
I so agree that the procedurally generated POI’s suck - this to me is the biggest issue of the game along with lack of fun and rewarding exploration
I like the procedurally generated and integrated points of interest, but there need to be 1000 of them, not 50 or whatever it is now. Also they need to add 1 hand crafted location to each planet, maybe a few a month, do them right, spread over the next decade of the games life.
少なくともニューアトランティスやアキラシティ等の主要都市のPOIはアウトローズの各惑星のマップぐらいのコンテンツが欲しかった
Stop buying overpriced quests. It just gives them incentive to keep doing it.
Wait so they're putting quests into "mods" and charging you for them? That's really shitty lol
That little vasco tap on the side of the buggy is a Nice touch
I'm waiting for modders to reverse engineer the Rev-8 code and porting it to Fallout 4.
Wouldn't work. F4 uses Creation Engine 1, while SF uses Creation Engine 2.

@@infinitysynthesisYup, plus there is a mod that adds a Fallout Tactics humvee into FO4, though it is a tad bit janky.
I'd much prefer the vaulting mechanic, would make more interesting getting on top of roofs.
Given the poor public opinion of Bethesda at the moment, selling cut content back to us at $5 a pop is a ballsy move!
The robot gettin in the buggy and hittin the side to signal he's in was really cool and fun to see.
They should focus more on space stuff... I'm talking about alien stuff... Imagine a creation about an abandoned ship that has terrormorph eggs on it. Be something like the alien 1 movie.
Terramorphs doesn't work like that. I don't want to spoil the vanguard quest but we know how terramorphs appear and those eggs would be zero dangerous
@@mara_jade021Still they could add terrarmorphs on a abandoned deserted ship. The main missions are boring... They need to add better missions like something that's inspired by a movie like event horizon or maybe something similar to dead space not something that is boring like the ryujin missions.

I really hope they integrate the Serpent's Embrace into the DLC well. The base game has issues.
Indeed, when the planet's terrain is completely smooth and there are no obstacles to throw you spinning in the air after you bump on them, you get to the invisible walls of the tile limit so much faster! Yay!
So when is Bethesda planning on fixing the planetary textures that this brand new update broke, anyway? Or, are they too busy making a buck to care?
0:53 It really says something when a 5$ quest on top of a 70$ game is the best quest in the entire game.
Just really says that the entire 70$ experience isn't worth the money.
Well put.
What, no it doesn't? The quest is amazing, but Starfield has literally over a hundred hours of good quests. The issue with Starfield has never been shitty quests, lots of the faction storylines are great

@@JuiceHead3 not as micro transactions, as built in quests. Remember the boat hotel quest murder mystery thing from Oblivion? That was an awesome quest, it would be a lot less awesome if we had to pay for it. The quests that shipped with starfield are almost all boring fetch quests.

why not? a company needs to also make money in between creating games, they got bills to pay just like we all do,do you honestly expect them to do everything for free in between creating full games?

On PC using mouse and keyboard, I find the vehicle pretty much undriveable. It handles like you're driving on a near frictionless surface with greased wheels. As long as you can keep it airborne, it's okay, because at least then it has to travel in a straight line.
Paid quests? These companies have no shame.

I really want to see this game blow up in popularity like fallout and elder scrolls and hit a spike in mods because it has so much potential
$5 for one quest is laughably stupid. The fact that people are actually buying this is insane to me.
Hiding one of the best quests in starfield behind a 5 dollar paywall is enough for me to not buy it.
So if the quest was shittier you would be more inclined to buy it? Interesting

The comments bots are active today. Beep boop. Nice vid dude.
Can’t wait for the buggy armor DLC
One thing I hated about starfield was every quest always took you to another planet. So fast traveling everywhere and loading screens
This is how Bethesda should structure the quests moving forward for ES6 and whenever they make the next iteration of Fallout.
So atmospheric flight is possible then:)
Being the only person with a vehicle only makes the universe of starfield feel more empty....
The vanilla new buggy is everything bad about the Mass Effect Mako.
I hope the dlc adds me ship and outpost content

I used to enjoy beth games but at this point they have done everything to make me stop caring which is painful to watch but lazy money making does this to a dev.
I can no longer sit by and wait to see what they do to their later games as I know it will be worse and i am sure at some point it will become so costly just to play the game even the gray slop eating people will come to the same end point I have, which is this is payment for mods is gross and too costly.
At this point just hire kinggath
That's the last thing you'd want, believe me.

"Bethesda is letting it happen."

They're gonna turn starfield into space 76 in the long run. I guarantee it.
doubt that, there's no multiplayer framework in the game, so they'd have to work to do it 😅
that's not as much of a bad thing as you seem to think it is
