We have to beat Donkey Kong 18 times just to get the true ending. I thought beating Bowser 13 times (14 if you count the imposter in World 8) in The Lost Levels was bad since that game was so hard, but this is just absurd.
I thought at the end of the Plus Mode of Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem, Mario would knock Donkey Kong unconscious, but instead he gave Donkey Kong a Mini-Pauline wind-up toy.
I mean this entire game could have been avoided if Mario just gave Donkey Kong the Mini-Pauline he wanted. I bet you he just wanted it to complete his toy collection and not go into Mini-Land since I think he helped with the design for Mini-DK or he just wanted to admire Pauline from afar and use the toy to remember her by.
@@FBEAR05 DK loves Pauline so he probably wanted the toy cause it's modeled after her. Mario didn't give it to DK in the first place probably to teach him a lesson for cutting in line.

These themes fit their background really well, I also feel some of them could work in other series games like Donkey Kong Country, Shantae, and Luigi’s Mansion. In all honesty I am no fan of the Warped Mansion whatsoever, but it does give off that perfect ghastly boss battle sort of vibe. The Super Skywheel stages sound like you’re actually listening to an amusement park parade, much similar to Disney World. After this game DK got help so that way he doesn’t become easily hypnotized again, I would say that’s why he wasn’t mind controlled in DKCR, but now I can’t say for sure.
Mario should’ve let DK take one of the 100 free Mini Ladies, not just straight up put a ‘sold out’ sign. But I guess it’s just for the story and/or the game.
During the Mario vs Donkey Kong games, I always feel like it is all Mario's fault. If he wasn't so selfish and he gave the mini toy that donkey kong wants, then none of this wouldn't have happened!
