- Incredible sounds of twin Seven Marine 627SV's take off to a 60mph cruise on the back of a Jaguar Powerboats J43. It only takes a few moments for the Seven Marine 627SV's to accelerate up to cruising speed. The J43 with Seven Marine's has a top speed over 100mph and they sound incredible as the spin up and take off!

That sound is so beautiful and unique no one would miss that thing launching
they need their own podcast
As much as the supercharger whine is cool I've always thought these Seven Marine superchargers are a tad too loud and would start making my ears ring on a long trip. I like the Mercury superchargers - a subtle whine but not too much.
Knowing what's under those engine covers, they appear smaller than I expect. 627 hp supercharged is a lot to package inside them. Awesome video, for those that know.
The video is deceiving...these are big engines. I saw one on display inside a tent at the Miami boat show and its a monster. The transmission from ZF Marine is impressive.
I know what you mean. The video is kind of playing tricks on making them look smaller.
They definitely don’t look like they house the LSA
Can confirm they are huge. Hard to judge size by video.
YESSSSS!!!!!! More please!!!!! And on different boats!!!!!
Whew!! For a second there before he got onto plane, I was worried that those 7's were about to push all the water out of the lake.
Those motors cost more than my house !
How much does one of those 7 marine motors cost?
@Endor2001 about 100k, sorry for reading this a year after
Surreal - have one LSA in my V. Great package!
wow, cleared for take-off :)
Mate, they’re nice. Is it the supercharger that whines or the gears? Not a complaint, just curious. Next time could you do another shot showing the instruments, that would round it out nicely. I’m heading to the ramps now, gonna unleash 300 horses on the bay, makes me feel impotent compared to those 627s 🤣🤣🛥🛥🍺🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺
That's the supercharger, as soon as the boat starts to plane you can hear the noise vanish as the strain on the motors vanishes.
Sad how heavy and unreliable those motors are. Should've chosen the motor out of the GT500 so it actually ran consistently, unlike any GM product.
wow i want
The torque and whine of the superchargers is awesome, when there's 3 or 4 of those monsters screaming must make the hair on your neck stand up.
Сразу видно что у страны есть реки, озера, моря и океаны. Не повезло России быть сухопутной. Ничего нет водного.
Sweet
A GM 6.2 V8. Brilliant engineering. Volvo bought the SEVEN MARINE company and shut it down. Volvo couldn’t take the competition.
Them motors broke down alot though, and Seven barely had anything in the boat powering industry. Now mercury has come out with a all new 7.6 liter V12 that will actually run all the time, unlike anything GM has ever made.
Beautiful 😊😊😊
Oh man, that would be worth the sea sickness
let's go, if you can get to Miami, I can arrange it!
@@ZipZapPower well, I have had to carry vacation days over to next year so I might make it (COVID allowing). Maybe we could go up to the lake and rent one?
This boat too fast for most lakes, if the lake is big enough for this boat at speed, you might as well be on the ocean! You're going to have to get on the ocean again! we can time it for a flat day and fill you up with Dramamine this time.
Прекрасные Какие они Прекрасные. Как Нептун 23💯🤣🤣🤣
Man that is over $160,000 in engines. Those engines are awesome but even with Volvo Penta buying them the service time would scare me unless you were somewhere close where they had trained mechanics.
What size boat length and beam ? How many rpm’s for 60mph ? Are those outboards 627 hp each ? Was that wide open ? Or is there some left on top end ? Are those active air intakes on each side of the cowling? Gone this far may as well ask what the cost per motor would be ?
I just looked it up, the boat is a 43 ft cat and with twin 400s, it can do 80MPH. Yes those outboards are 627 HP each. I am sure that boat can go.
Cost for these 627 h.p. Is approximately $90,000 ea.
That's right, it's a 43 Jaguar. This boat is one of our last models we plan on releasing with the old body style and we have run it well in excess of 100 mph.
This wasn't wide open, it was only 3800-4000 rpm. The things you side on the side are actually exhaust ports.
Motors cost about 115k each before props and rigging. These aren't your average seven's.
@@phillipternullo4934 plus a $15000 installation cost each
Just one of those motors would rip the transom off my boat! Lol
it would be en exciting few moments. Wear a helmet.
They're only 1100 pounds a piece, what could go wrong?
I used to build these Chevy l.s.a Motors
Évinrude first to go. Now 7. Both doomed years ago. See how Merc evolves in the next 20 years...it’s gonna be all eyes on them now.
Disappointing you stopped at 60. Usually these videos show what the motors can do. They sound awesome. Would've liked to of heard them wide open.
what mpg were you getting?
.01-0.02
Initial testing revealed about 1 MPG at 60, still another 45 mpg left in it, possibly more. Economy in the 50's and 40's if you want to go "slow" is insanely good.
You mean gpm right?
@@Camker001 that too lol
Please, boat designers: don't design your boats in a way that the engines get submerged when throttling up.
You're probably looking at the props slinging water at the cavitation plate before breaking loose, this boat has 5 blade surface-piercing props. Surface piercing props tend to make a show!
Oh
No..😂
..tabarnac...
It’s a shame Volvo has canned these motors after buying seven marine out.
