@@JohnnyGaytar he wasn’t asked the same questions leading up to that answer. He openly volunteered that information in most of those cases. As if he were leading the interviewer into “forcing” him to broach the subject.

He’s great, and he played Anakin amazing. Just wish George let him act a little more like himself so Anakin felt more likable in the movies. Anakin is perfect in the clone wars show
Anakin is played exactly the way he’s meant to be in the movies, you just didn’t personally like it. He was a slave all his life. First, he was enslaved and lived alone with his mother until he was 9. Then, he was raised in a cult that constantly told him to reject emotional attachments for the rest of his life - Add onto that the fact that he had no friends his own age in the Jedi Order and was a god in the Force for his age, meaning he has a power complex. Of course a socially stunted, hormonal teenager with no life experience is going to be awkward as fuck - Let alone one who is constantly thrust into dangerous situations. Anakin in the Clone Wars is a completely bizarre and unrecognisable character from the one who is established (for good reason) in the movies.
@@papaofthejohns5882 I like the way he is portrayed in the novelizations the best. He still has all of those traits that George Lucas wrote, but it is more reasonable and far less exaggerated. Hayden was the best fit for the role. He was just handed some not so great scripts. I turned over to see "Vader" inches from my nose and I screamed absolutely bloody murder, really thinking that Vader had caught me in the dream. Mom came running upstairs to see what was happening; she thought one of us got seriously hurt or something.
Funny and interesting to see how the public opinion of Hayden and his portrayal of Anakin has changed over the years. People hated the prequels and blamed Hayden for “ruining” Star Wars. I’m not entirely sure when the prequels started to become more accepted and even loved, maybe around 2010 or so, but it’s good to see the love the community has for Hayden these days. Sure, his performance was jarring and awkward in AOTC at the time, but he never deserved the hate that he got. In fact, his dialogue and delivery when he tells Padme how he slaughtered the Tuskens is brilliant and downright chilling. Can’t wait to see what he brings to the Obi-Wan series.
