So, I'm scrolling through the Spotify playlist New blood. It's supposed to have a bunch of brand new bands, bands most people haven't heard of yet. I'm about 15 songs in and could not be more bored, it's an onslaught of eight string guitars and lazily written synth books. Then the sound of this freaking telecaster comes through, playing a nice riff. Then this girl starts singing. I immediately stop and look at my phone, saying to myself, "who the hell is this." Stone statues. At time of posting this comment I've known about this band for about 20 minutes. I dig it.
TOOl is my favourite band, too. I've just seen them live in Hamburg, Germany. And I'm 53. So let's enjoy this fresh sound, old boomer :-D LOve and hugs from northern Germany, mate.
Absolutely looking forward to it! CRA dance party 4sure😎.. Julia. Is FUN live too.. check out Juliatheband mothership and what the world deserves. Yeah this shit is Lit!
Laitoin videon pyörimään, laulu lähti, tunsin kuinka ihoni menee kananlihalle, sitten pamahtaa soitto ja ihokarvat nousivat pystyyn. Aivan uskomatonta musiikkia. Toimii niin hienosti! Tuo laulu, ääni, tajutonta, out of this world!
Löysin tän bändin kun soi ennen Ylen rallilähetystä. Menny tunti en oo vieläkään alkanu kattoon sitä rallia. Onneksi on Shazam niin sai selville mikä bändi. Kiitokset Stoned statues hyvästä musasta. Kiitos myös Sakata, Yle ja Shazam.
This song really touched me and the lyrics are so much about me and my family where our mother slowly going into dementia. Some days are better, some are so much worse and it´s painful to see her like this. My father is struggling and I try to help as much as I can while my brother is struggling with his own health but what joins us now is the pain, love and knowledge of what will come. Thoughts that has been woken alive in the last few months and we are getting prepared for the inevitable. Dear beloved mother slowly slipping away. We had so many fights thru the years because of her alcoholism, so much suffering but in the end, nothing else matter then all the good moments we had after all. She did her best to be the best mother she possibly could under the surcumstances, always helping and caring in her own way. I have always been a misunderstood loner with thoughts and ideas the general public have no clue about but the line "Now I´m standing alone" makes me wonder how I will manage in the future, when my parents are gone and maybe my brother eventually will break down totally. This song awoke alot of feelings for me that I thought were dead and gone, but that balance between vulnerability, anger, desperation and love is just beautiful. Beautiful Jenna is doing a hell of a job here wielding the bass which reminds me of the metal god Gene Simmons himself, good footage on all accounts, Allus drums is perfect with nice twists and the almighty roar of Markus is giving me goosebumps. The album took some time for me to really love but there was something in there whispering to me to keep listening and after a few songs I was hooked. Like every good album needs a couple of tries until it gets really stuck. I´s also good that Stoned Statues dare to go their own way and not become another bleak and boring copy of either Hammerfall or Nightwish. Althru a really awsome concept with alot of potency and I´m waiting expectantly for especially Jenna to really understand she owns the stage. Cuz she does, really soon it will be her second home and we have only seen the beginning of this. Great work guys! Love from Sweden.
Ive heard the song 15-20 times. then i read your comment and it suddenly clicked in my head what the song was describing and its P.O.V. Started thinking about my mom and dad (both dead now) and how they got old and slowly was mentally less and less there. Then i started crying. Thanks for starting my train of thought. Love from Denmark
Ekan kerran törmäsin knotfestin keikkalistaa selatessa teihin, kurkkasin spottarista että ihan nobody bändi kyseessä, kuuntelin ekan kappaleen ja en voinut käsittää miten en ollut ennen törmännyt. Ehdottomasti suurin positiivinen yllättäjä mitä tämän kesän musiikkiin on tullut. Ehdottomasti menee kovaan jakoon ja heti kun keikkaa tulee niin liput tilaukseen.
This shit hits even harder now! Good work guys, I sincerely wish you the best of luck on your road to headlining the big arenas! Looking forward to seeing you on stage soon!
Amazing band. I'm usually into Metal- and Deathcore but I have a Progressive Metal playlist on Spotify and you got recommended to me. Hooked since then. One thing I couldn't find out yet are your origins. Which country are you from?
My second comment: I heard you in Knotfest Turku, I am so greatfull, thet energy you gave me, live... Thank you! Don't you ever be comercial shit, ever! Please, play just for music!
The Meshugga T-shirt is for me the cherry on top, of an already amazing work. This Band absolutely ROCKS.

Same happened to me on a prog rock playlist. I'm so glad these guys were shoved randomly in the middle! Epic 3 piece.
Hah, same happened to me just a week ago. But on my weekly discovery playlist. lml lml
Old 54 year old lover of Rush and Pink Floyd and Tool.
This is dirty bluesy and metal all at once and kicks ass. Love this. Gained me and my money.
Exactly. Except that I'm 55 myself, but otherwise I can fully relate with the previous comment.
Actually vocal is shit, and the whole piece is covered. I laugh on this

Sorry about your mother. I've had dementia in the family too. Nothing prepares you for that. It's like a long goodbye.
Thank you @annarantanen3813 . We got a year and she passed last monday, 71 years old. May she rest in peace.

Tässä ei ole mitään noista mainitsemistasi bändeistä. Ja parempi niin!
It’s painfully obvious that the vocalist doesn’t really understand how English is supposed to sound and flow. This sounds too awkward. -also a Finn
