Wonder how accurate this machine is because a few years ago they tested these with a confirmed calibration source and a large number failed which is worrying due to what it meant to do and with balls used in sports if they are at the wrong pressures the team can be in trouble with the governing bodies
Very interesting point I hadn't considered with respect to my pump that I use for my car. I suppose the inaccuracies are less important for higher pressure jobs like tyres (i.e. plus or minus 1PSI is less meaningful) but a lot moreso for footballs.
Using a 80 dollar machine when the degree to which calibration matters like that example wouldn’t make sense. You’d want an extremely accurate machine because the stakes are so high. I don’t doubt it’s accuracy but would guess there’s potential for a small margin of error like +-1 psi
