  • Here's another look at how I pack for a trip in an under seat backpack! In the last video I packed for a 10 day trip, but this one is for 7 days. However the weather will be colder, plus I will be flying with my laptop, so the same sized bag works perfectly!
    Check out the full review of the Cabin Max Metz 30L backpack here: betweenengland...

    I like your travel style. No nonsense no make up, and minimal. Keep up the good videos and happy attitude.

      Thank you for the kind words! :) Yes hair in a bun and no make up! Sometimes I take an eyeliner pencil but that’s the size of a pencil, it fits in my wash bag no problem!

    Yay, another hoodie-and-jeans traveler! I don’t do fancy clothes and make-up either, makes packing (and life in general) so much easier...

      Yay! Some people say that they hate jeans but I find them comfortable! In hotter places I do just tend to wear shorts and lighter material but for a good 50% of the year I wear jeans and hoodies daily 😁

      Same! My favorite kind of shorts are cut-off jeans, so I kind of live in jeans year-round...

    Finally! A video on packing lightly that is truly light! I keep seeing ones that “minimal” packing means “only” taking 2 extra pairs of shoes and every make up brush know to exist! Thanks!

      Ooooo no, I only pack what I’m going to wear 😂 And no makeup…just an eyeliner pencil that even has the sharpener built into its lid!

    Rewatched a genuine packing video..beats all the rest...thank you..❤ tshirt dress in black and scarf to dress up a little toothpaste powder and solid bars weigh less too than liquids and collapsible water bottle. As 30l bag is like 0.6 kg you re ahead of all the rest! My priority is my meds and on a long trip can still fit them in.❤

    I traveled to Maine with my daughter and granddaughter this past summer. My case was the size of your backpack with wheels as I have back issues. Unfortunately it wouldn’t fit under the seat tho. Their luggage was double the size of mine. They questioned if I had enough with me …. couldn’t understand that this was all I NEEDED! On the way home the extended handle gave out so once home I was in the market for a new bag. Ended up finding an “IT” bag with wheels that will fit under the seat. When I travel this upcoming spring for my 60th class reunion, I won’t have to haul it down from the overheads which is always a hassle. Since I will be staying at a friend’s home I will have access to a washer/dryer so it will work wonderfully. Can’t wait!!!

    • @Betweenengland
      @Betweenengland  8 місяців тому

      Oh no! So a 30L case with wheels? The number is usually the internal capacity so the wheels would make the bag dimensions larger, but often they are fine for the overhead, just not then under seat. I know Cabin Max do cases too but I think they are more like 20L!
      That’s awesome that you have embraced hand luggage travel! I love it! I just don’t see the point of dragging around giant heavy checked luggage when I can just have a lightweight bag and still have everything I need😁

      Haha! It does make it harder but it is possible! I’m going to Madeira with hand luggage only soon and have 2 pairs of denim shorts, a big hoodie and then 2 lightweight zip up hoodies, so it is possible!

    Seems like 30L is the magic size for personal and under seat. It is a shame the camera was not more directed at the subject. There is a lot of background in the frame.

      Sorry I only have so much space in my house. It was more my ideas and system of packing rather than looking at my individual items. But yes, for most airlines, 30L is roughly what it works out as.

    Hi there,
    I’m wondering is this backpack big for 5feet2inches/158cm as my height?
    I watched your other video about this backpack and loved hoe you organized it.
    I also found this backpack of 20l one but without a side bottle pocket.
    I’m having a hard time deciding which size your 30l or 20l is better for me for my travel not looking way too big on me…
    If you have any advice, that will be greatly appreciated!

    • @Betweenengland
      @Betweenengland  Рік тому +1

      Hello! I’m 5ft4 and it is quite big. I have a photo of it on my back if you click the link in the description which will take you to the written review. The 30L I can use for 1 week+ trips (I just used it for a 10 day and I’m using it for 2 weeks at the end of the year). The 20L is quite small, I don’t have the Metz, but I have the 20L cabin max travel hack backpack. I can only really fit a long weekend worth of stuff inside…like a 3 night trip :)

      I went to your website and read your written reviews and also 20l backpack review, too.
      It really helped me for what I’m getting😊
      I go for 30l one for upcoming trip which is 9days.
      Thank you again, and please post another packing video for your next trip if can, because I enjoy your way of packing!

      @@ccppcp awh thank you so much! I just came back from a 10 day trip, and was going to do a video, but then just ran out of time! I have no problem with the 30L, it weighs around 7kg if I pack my laptop too, so it isn’t too heavy either. I’m taking it to Thailand for 2 weeks in November but one of the airlines has a 5kg weight limit, so I’m interested to see how that turns out myself! (Although I’d really like to buy some new lightweight travel clothes while I’m there, so I will take less and hopefully pick up a few bits for the return flight home where my allowance is bigger!)

      Just be careful that you understand what the size and or weight requirements are of the personal item bag or carry-on bag the airline you will be flying allows. Not all airlines allow the same size bags so you want to make sure that you have a bag to meet the requirements especially if you're going to be traveling more than one airline. If so make sure you pick a bag to fit the smallest requirements.

    • @Betweenengland
      @Betweenengland  9 місяців тому +1

      Hello! Did you you get the 30L instead of the 20? Usually if they are half empty you will get away with it anyway :). You can also measure it once you have things inside to see how close to the size it would be before you get to the airport. They are really squishy bags though so hopefully you'll be ok! Which airline are you flying with?

      @@rodden1953 You should be ok then :) Ah I'm not too sure of the rules on walking poles. As far as I'm aware as long as they are the ones that fold up you should be ok? (So they can 'fit' in a bag or under the seat once you are onboard). You may have to contact the airline specifically :)
