My grandmother worked at Kauffman’s for 15 years. She was the Advertising Director. I have 1000’s of her drawing of the apparel Kauffman’s sold and advertised in the Courier Journal paper here in Louisville, KY. She drew by hand and taught my mom how to draw, the apparel with Indian ink in negative, so the papers printers would be able to print it. I wish I could attach one. My grandmother worked for Stewart’s, LS Ayres and Levy Bros doing advertising. She retired in 1986 and passed in 2000. Great video!

I was there earlier this summer! Agree it is a beautiful area. I was so excited to finally see Fallingwater in person. Next time I need to plan better to see the other Wright homes.

So pleased you got to enjoy some of the Laurel Highlands and my backyard. From the incredible historical locations, mountains, streams and people, this is a great place to call home.
We are headed that way next year. My great great grandmother used to own the Confluence Hardware store (still opened) there. My grandpa used to tell the story that he and his friends wanted a place to jump into the river so they got TNT and tried to blow over a tree. The tree stood, but every window in town was blown out. Their punishment was staying up al night cutting windows from the hardware store for everyone. The tree may still be there too 🤷🏼♀️
Honestly I was a little surprised too. I didn’t even think about until I was on the bike, and then was a little too nervous to stop. I’m sure I could have asked for one. I will next time. And we are diligent helmet wearers on our own bikes! Thanks for stopping by!
That house is really cool. My parents designed their house in a FLW design and at the time I didn’t know what that meant 😂but after looking at his designs and homes as I got older I definitely see the resemblance. Sorry about your phone 😞

Inflatable kayaks take more strength to move thru the water than solid kayaks..
