I ABSOLUTELY LOVED what Geno said about the Jets "writing him off". Geno said, "But i didn't write back!". Best line all season. He gave us hope when we felt so afraid about how the Seahawks will EVER PLAY AGAIN! I was one of those people! I did NOT watch that opening game. I was still in my "Losing Russel Coma". But I could hear everyone screaming in the living room so I had to go look. And I could NOT BELIEVE my eyes and ears. We were gonna be ok.... we were GOING TO BE OK! I had NEVER HEARD of Geno Smith. And don't give me too much heat! Not many of my friends had either. But boy we knew who he was after that game! Watching Russel Wilson fail.... felt kinda good. That's not very nice, I know. Russel Wilson took us to the Superbowl! With him and the greatest defensive line of players in NFL history, we kicked ass all the way around the world...(don't forget about Germany. We're now a International delight!) Things just felt awkward for a minute or 2. But we did what our Seahawks do time and time, year after year, game after game, do! We just keep fighting!I love Geno Smith and I loved my Seahawks!!💚💙✨️ And I love what's about to happen this season. EVERYBODY has had the name, "Seattle Seahawks " on their 👅 tongues! Why? Because this is going to show and tell an epic story about the team out if the Emerald City, that one day in 1976, just showed up. That was my Senior Year in Highschool. My Daddy gave me Seahawks year-long pass so I could go watch the games with him. Golf and Football! Oh we had some great times I watched every Seahawks game with my dad until 2009 when he passed away from Emphysema. We took some of his ashes, and with the permission from Mr. Paul Allen, we scattered my Daddy's in Lumen Field. I'm not sure why I wrote this much, I just couldn't stop. I love this team so much and I miss my Daddy more during football season than any other time of the year! Go Seahawks!💙💚💙💚

When Russ got hurt and Geno was put in I noticed that Geno got the ball out faster than Russ did. That was the problem with Russ the last few years which was holding onto the ball too long. Everyone who were hawk "fans" didnt want geno and look how they react now. I was glad Geno got the start based off of what I saw the last 2 starts coming off the bench.
I wanted him to start and everyone in my family and most seahawks fans were like what's lock going to do
I thought he should be minimally let to play more games than he did when Russ was hurt, cause I was positive the team or Russell was rushing himself back after SURGERY ON HIS THROWING HAND and low and behold he was rushed back onto the field and lost, while Geno kept us in games even if he was rusty off the bench. I saw the same thing, here’s a guy who can make the play on schedule and can make the right read cause he can actually see the field and hit someone in the middle of the field without rolling out. What a revelation. I thought they should have traded Russ a year earlier, but I was fully supportive of the trade and loved the result.
Russell just lost the skills that made him great early in his career and when you take the money and run, it leaves holes in teams so you can’t afford that extra tackle or receiver or a better defense that makes the team better. Remember when Russ would run for 60-100 yards a game and literally never get touched? Out of bounds or slide, drove defenses nuts, couldn’t touch the guy and rarely took big sacks. But for the last several years of his seahawk career he intentionally ran plays wrong, the option plays were so blatantly run wrong it was like why even call them, and forced balls downfield, take big hits throwing into double and triple coverage, when his younger self would run the ball for 20 yards up the sideline and get out of bounds untouched. Now he’s so practiced at doing things wrong you probably can’t fix his inability to diagnose coverages and run plays on time. He’ll never hit a tight end in the middle of the field on time for the rest of his career.

Been to the Broncos at Seahawks game live. I had a gut feeling that my 'Hawks would gonna win it. After the opening-drive TD I was sure. Now seeing the footage of Geno entering the stadium, it is even more clear: He is totally focussed, and during the post-game interview he was honestly happy. I wish RW all the best in Denver, but with a genuine character like GS as my Seahawks' QB, I feel a lot better about them.

RW3 won a BUNCH of games for Seattle on his own merit and I think if he came back to this team after being in Denver last year the Hawks would be 6-1 right now and producing big on offense. I like that the Seahawks moved on but RW3 was a huge reason for the sustained success. In each of his full seasons the Hawks averaged nearly 11 wins a season, had a winning season every year until injured in 2021, went to the playoffs 8 out of 10 seasons, won playoff games 6 of those seasons, won 9 playoff games, went to 2 super bowls and won one convincingly. Wilson was a stud for the Seahawks but he wasn't going to be here forever and it what the team got for him was a massive roster.

Such a good video and great way to really show the whole story. As a Hawks fan my entire life (26 years) I’ve wanted to get rid of Russell Wilson when we lost 2015 Super Bowl chance and he choked. I never thought he was super special or a star and to see how it all played out and for him to get a reality check was beautiful. It wasn’t Pete Carroll, it wasn’t the team holding himself back. Dude was doing it to himself with his ego and his head and thank you Denver for getting this man off our team lol.
