The wet mud effects on the tyres looks really good. This is all shaping up to be brilliant with all the visual improvements.
I'm glad they were able to re-write some of the engine work to the CPU to give us more details! I'm hoping they've also worked on making CPU bound tasks to properly use multi-threaded CPUs, instead of being bound to 2 or 4 cores and then throttling..
If I can find more info I'll happily share it
Agreed buddy. I have an I9 13900K with 64gb DDR5 6000mhz RAM and an RTX4090 and yet the game stutters while having 100+ fps (playing in 4K with everything on 500%). Other recent games work perfect in 4K with some of them going to 150fps and higher. Hopefully FS25 works perfect without stuttering at 100+ fps.
This is one of a handful of things that is the most important to me as well. Games have been doing this for quite a while now and there is really no reason for it not be done properly anymore. It is a great point.
I was reading it up this afternoon and the picture of the riceplanter, together with the close up on the furrows had me saying "Wow" out loud. They're really onto something here, cant wait to enjoy it all in a little less than 2 weeks!
This looks significantly better than the first preview you showed. I’m still holding some reservations about implements levelling the land until I can really get in there to mess with it but the rest of it looks a lot smoother and better overall. I like the plow furrows as well but I rarely mold board plow and usually use V or combination rippers for plowing but I may have to dabble a bit more in mold board with this deformation.
This is so so cool, and by far the best feature of FS25 along the improved lighting and fog. Can't wait to get it!!!
I was hoping that Giants would give players a HUD color setting as part of the menu, I can't believe this would take much to code. I can see by looking at the speed / RPM circle, the light green is very hard to discern from the gray, it's like someone that creates a white web page with yellow text, very hard to read. I'd also take the fuel bar and split into (3) sections, the top being green, middle orange, and the bottom 3rd red, can't believe this would take much programming either. I'm going to harp on this again, when you exit the game, it should save your player position instead of putting you back at career spawn point. The same with Real time, we should not have to rely on modders to create all these simple mods, there's plenty of other things they could be creating!
It looks really realistic and I really look forward to playing FS 25, very soon! 😋
Thanks FSG, I didn't think I could get so excited for something like ground deformation! the whole game is looking fantastic. An idea I had as I watched your video was wouldn't it be great if they included snowploughs in game, could be a way of making money in winter months 🤔
I think we'll definitely see snowplows in game
The physics of Farm Sim have always been my biggest gripe. The unnatural transitions from plant material to ground, branches and trees just vanishing when stump grinding, etc. Mud physics as well.
It's going to be interesting to see what modders can do with the framework to make it better.
Those 3d furrows look awesome. Im so hyped for this game
@@dylanyeomans-07 right..imagine the mods for FS25
Its looks extremly good and huge upgrade from 22
i'm so excited!!
My big fear is the clockwork laptop won't handle the game.
I wonder what the ground deformation will be like when loading bales in the field or having auger wagons and trailers in the field during harvests? Root crop harvesting could be interesting that's for sure.
i know people dont want a snowrunner experience but it would still be nice if it was an option you can toggle id like to get stuck a bit if using improper tyre setup
Excellent commentary as always FSG!
I appreciate that David thank you
More graphics upgrades, awesome! Hopefully the consoles can handle!
I think they've been designed to work with the new gen consoles, one of the benefits of the older consoles no longer being suppoerted we get stuff like this
@ Good point! I forgot about no old gen consoles for fs25
finnaly chaff compacting will look realistic
I hope so
Omg u mentioned my question about silage
Ah it was you Joe, I couldn't remember who had mentioned it
It looks good... i'm hyped a little :)
Wow, the way that the plow bottoms do not line up with the dirt furrows looks reeeally bad!
I cover that in the video
@@TheFarmSimGuy Yep, I saw/heard that. Disappointed that it's left up to modders to fix that issue.
Great video FSG and you explained it very clearly and the modders are going,to have a ball with this when they get everything sorted and we might get round wheels, again like when there was different copy’s,off the game one for PC and one for console great work again FSG 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks as always for the support Peter!
here we go, looks promising. and yes terra life is coming to fs25
Are you mistaking Terralife for TerraFarm?
@@TheFarmSimGuy indeed! i believe they said they wanted to expand it so im sure this is what they might be referring to
I play farm sim on my Xbox series s and I'm prepping to upgrade to a new monitor and probably get this game around Christmas or Jan next year
Well Giants have put done themselves , I have the game + year one pass winging it's way to me and before it lands am feeling justified in the purchase, but will the Volkswagen from the beetroot map be able to go over a bump without breaking your back in 3 places ?..........
Haha that might be too much to ask!
Will there be any tire wear? does anybody know?
This looks brilliant
To bad the grass doesn’t lay down, oh well
The one question I still have about the deformation is can it be turned off in settings? I'm finding myself feeling like I might be one of those players that doesn't really enjoy tractors getting slowed down in the field like that. It looks great, for sure, and maybe it handles differently than I'm imagining, but I just don't know about it. It's one of those things that I'm not super sold on yet.
I think it's so inbuilt into the engine I don't expect it will, but I don't know for sure
@@TheFarmSimGuy yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'd hope then that if it can't be toggled natively, maybe modders can find some way to make it user-selectable, but that might be wishful thinking.
@@BurcoGames Personally I don't see the point in deactivating something we've been waiting for for years... I always hate seeing tractors moving over a plowed field like a matchbox on a flat table...
anyone here crying that ‘it’s not good enough’ i challenge you to go do it better yourself
Tell me something did you watch giants free play did you see the same control problems that we have the current the game. It's fair to say then why don't you make it better but it's also fair to assume that the same players pointing out the obvious problems have a say as we are the ones paying for the game and expecting issues from 22 not to carry over into fs 25. It's also fair to assume that they have 3 years to better the game and fix the coding issues with control and spacing
control problems?
control deez nuts lmao
Thats a bad attitude - constructive criticism is what drives improvement in product design
the people i’m on about aren’t Criticising Constructively - they’re complaining
@@memenationalcentre not sure I would agree based on the comments - most of the complaints seem reasonable vs what we have been shown
Wow all of this stuff is suprisigly good.
Hmmmm - the amount of deformation still looks excessive.
Across the board or in certain scenarios?
@@TheFarmSimGuy when it drove over the ploughed ground and when the bean harvester is driving on the track (tracks are always as hard as a road). I am sure there will be an XML that modders can change
0:27 furrow count doesn't match the plow blade count... :-/
Watch the whole vid, the furrow widths are adjustable for modders
I am honestly sorry after watching giant's free play its changed my pre order idea game still has the same issues it did with fs 22 and with all the added features i can only see problems coming along with it, fs 25 is just basically a update with features that you paying for
Every new version of a game is based on the previous version with updates....
@@TheFarmSimGuy Maybe it's time for Giants to change their policy of periodically releasing a new base game to actually supporting the game through updates. Not, as in previous editions, updates were constantly fixing bugs that they hadn't noticed before the premiere. And of course releasing DLC expansions. A flagship example of such a game is ETS2
Giants do release DLC’s with game updates, Silverrun and the Platinum edition was a perfect example of this
@@TheFarmSimGuy Yes but it is only 3 years, and after they do new base game. The majority of these updates were not game improvements in the form of new basic mechanics, they were constantly fixing bugs that had not been fixed before the game was released. So it shouldn't be called an update, just a patch. What I mean is improving one fundamental base the game for many years, five, seven or even ten. Every time the base game is released, we have to wait about a year until modders are taught how to create refined mods from scratch. And some people have to do the same things as in the previous release to waste time for new improvements.
Hope it gets a PS5 pro upgrade…
I don't think there will be a difference between regular PS5 and PS5 Pro
