Loved the review though. I could relate to it as You and I having a chat personally over the motorcycle. You easily produce one of the best motorcycle content currently, second only to Sagar. You are light years ahead in comparison to the so called biggies and ultra moronic stereotypical "vloggers" and "influencers"
We did not try the headlight on a dark highway but our past experience with other similar headlights like of Duke 390, RC 390, Himalayan, RE INT 650 etc tells us that these stock LEDs (and non-LEDs) are NOT good enough in pitch dark remote areas like highways, mountains etc. If you regularly tour/ride through roads that have no lights then installing auxiliary lights is a good idea. Cheers Nitin
Hi Sandeep, I do not have much idea about Gurgaon market but I have done some shopping from RiderzPlanet in Ghitorni. Delhi. Maybe check that out. Cheers, Nitin
Thanks for your advice! I’ve one more question. The payload capacity of BS VI 310 GS is approximately 170 Kg (BMW recommended gross vehicle weight is 345Kg) However, with pillion and accessories it seems that I’ll possibly overload it by 15 to 30 Kg which is approx 5 to 9% of the gross vehicle weight. Do you think such overloading might create any issue when it comes to handling?
Hi Aradeep, a pillion and luggage usually effects handling, especially of a lighter/smaller bike with non-adjustable suspension. Going over the recommended gross weight can be a tricky affair not just for handling but for the bike's stability and structure as well. If you can't reduce the load then at least do few test runs before actually going on a trip. Cheers Nitin
As much as I was impressed by the choice of the Reverse Inclined Engine architecture, what I fail to understand is - why the inverted forks on an Adventure motorcycle? BMW is not know to implement features just for the sake of it. USD forks provide better tarmac feel and less unsprung weight - both factors don't matter for ADV. USD forks, on the other hand can prove to be pretty high maintenance and point of failure in an ADV setup, if the motorcycle is actually used to its true potential
Well for one the 310 GS is not really an off road oriented bike and as even with the most “off roady” bikes we know they spend over 99% their time on tarmac. So advantages of the USD fit well here. And Second this is a BMW for the mass market, it’s true potential is really that. ✌️
@@MotoringPulse C'mon, BMW badges it as a GS... the GS are take anywhere adventure motorcycles (not just off road or tarmac, but anywhere). The big bad GS generally has the telelever setup, which I can understand that is not something that you would expect when you are making a baby GS on a budget. Having set that having USD forks, with the riding geometry, completely wastes the purchase that a USD setup provides. I can understand USD setup on a street naked, but I couldn't never wrap my head around the technical use of a USD fork on any ADV motorcycle from any manufacturer apart from crowd service. Backlit switches on a Pulsar are more usable than USD forks on a ADV machine 😀😀
Sure the badge is GS but that’s mostly about it. Its like r15 to r1, yes r15 has the chassis and looks but the engine is puny or Ninja 300 to zx10r, 300 has the looks and to some extent the engine but not the chassis and suspension. And Sajal, apart from 1250 GS, every other Adv in the market has USD, even Honda has changed the telescopic fork of the 500x to USD and it Neeves says it is one of the best handling bikes in the market and not just in Adv segment. This is a good discussion..
This review is 2 years old. There are newer options in the market at a lower price so no this is not worth buying right now. But even today, G310 has the best fit and finish of the category, it also has a very well sorted suspension which gives it fantastic handling. Engine performance was always lacklustre and the refinement is not good enough. Cheers, Nitin, MotoringPulse
Wow, nice.. this is a criminally underrated channel.
Fantastic review, mature and classy. Well done
Much better than zigwheels, autocar etc.
Kudos to the reviewer
Much appreciated!
THANK YOU sir, this was EXCELLENT.
Very much appreciated.
WELL Done.
10/10.

Very nice...I love the way that you are explaining everything about every feature & components 💐💐💐🙏
Loved this review and way that you're explaining..
Glad you liked it!
Good review. Cheers!
Very nicely explained. Which crash guard are you using here?
Hi and thank you. These crash guards came pre-fitted with the test bike from BMW, they are part of the BMW standard accessory list.
Cheers, Nitin
Very nice review! By the way, I’m wondering if the stock headlight is adequate for highway cruising during night. Request you to share your opinion.

Increased weight also effects braking, more the load - needs more time to stop = Longer braking distance.
Highway milage??

which is this top box
Hi Navdeep,
We don't have details of the box since it was not part of our review. It came pre-installed to the test bike.
