She's so cute! I feel so bad for the family that had to give her up, but I'm glad she has a good new home.
I wonder if her being deaf and maybe them not knowing contributed to it. If she didn't listen to them or something. Not an excuse, but I wonder if that played into them giving her up.
I'm so sad that foreclosure forced Peaches's first family to give her up.
But she's so very loving, she clearly was loved during her first year, so I hope they knew she'd make her new family love her, too.
Peaches is a sweetheart and has such a wonderful second family, and friends at mom's workplace. What a purrfect match!

@@7Jennifer I personally don't think so because she is a very sweet cat and does not give any usual cat issues like hissing when pissed or suddenly taking a swipe at you when not pleased (I have had so many cats in my lifetime so I know that other cats can be grumpy and not too touchy feely type).
I am sure her first owner must have found her sweet, friendly, and docile personality irresistible (which not all cats have) since they had her until the foreclosure of their house so most probably pets were forbidden in the place that they planned to rent.
I also had a deaf white cat and the fact she was deaf made her easier to take care of because she was not easily jolted by sounds so she didn't fear our barking dogs and slept soundly even when it was so noisy around her.
She might not hear you say you love her, but she feels it all day long. The look on her face is pure contentment.

Peaches is a gorgeous girl who loves to trill. I've got one that trills, but the other one doesn't. A lot of mamma cats will trill while feeding their kittens because it's a very calming and soothing sound. Awe. I love her purr. It amazes me as one thing is deleted from her life that it makes her more special in every other aspect of her life. I would love to have a cat just like her. I’m going to have a Senior Animal Sanctuary in the very near future. And I hope to get such a beautiful kitty like her. Not just in looks but in every other reason why folks run away from. I hope the first mama sees this somehow and learns that her painful and kind choice to give up her baby versus dumping her somewhere was the best thing she could so. Assuming she was loved and cared for it must have been so hard. But look at her now, thriving with the best new family!

I had a deaf cat for 10 years. I adopted him at around 5 years old and I was his third home. He was gorgeous, perfect white with one green eye and the other blue. But boy was he ever demanding. His meowing was sooo loud and incredibly persistent when he wanted something. I eventually figured out it was probably the reason he was given up before. So I vowed I would not give up on him. I loved him very much but I don’t think I would adopt another deaf cat.
It is because of your cats deafness that the loud and long meowing was required to get your attention and to know where your cat could locate you.
Dont hold it against your cat for behaving that way.

Love the pigeon purr. My cat either doesn’t know how to meow or just doesn’t do it. He does these chirps or when he’s hungry he cries like a baby.

Wow!! This is the first time I've seen a cat looks almost identical to my sweet princess. The color, the fur, the purr. Except mines a little diva with an enormous floofy tail. I swear they are sisters. Peaches is as beautiful as my Penelope. Penelope is not cuddly, but she has FOMO and must be with us at all times! I call her the inspector because she has to check everything out. I love my baby girl so much just seeing peaches melts my heart. I'm so happy she is being loved so dearly. ❤
