- My sister came to visit us in India all the way from Finland for the first time in February. Our family vacation in Goa started by celebrating Annika's second birthday, and at the end of my sister's stay we also got to celebrate her birthday together. So we took her to explore the shopping options in Anjuna, both the inexpensive street side shops and the more luxurious boutiques the village is famous for, and got her a birthday cake at Artjuna, the best cafe in Anjuna. In the evening we headed to enjoy the golden hour and relax at Ashvem Beach and ended the day with a great birthday dinner at the most famous sunset spot in North Goa, Thalassa Restaurant.

Try to keep Annika away from stray dogs when you are in Kerala.. Multiple unfortunate incidents happening here.. no of stray dogs is really high now.. Food unavailability is making them more aggressive..take care
It’s a shame that people are abandoning their pets/family members on the streets! How do they think these poor helpless animals can go buy pet food, get fresh water, get medical checkup s, go to the dog groomer, sleep in a cozy bed in a safe cozy home , go on daily walks, etc etc.??! Government should take care and provide proper dog food and care for these poor animals !
@@Anna-fg6kmit's not the pets that are being abandoned. In india not all dogs are pets. There are lots of free dogs that breed naturally like any other city dwelling stray animals like squirrels mice etc. The dogs wander on streets, find food from streets, mate and breed on streets. The next gen dogs in turn grow up on streets. You see they don't have any owners at all for centuries. And there is no law to provide shelter for them nor is there any strict rule to spay or neuter them. Some strays turn aggressive and violent.
@@Anna-fg6kmno ... In india we live alongside these animals they r not pets they are familiar with human presence.... These animals include cow buffalo elephant gaur .... PPL feed them on street only but donot keep them as per

I'm always frustrated shopping with my hubby in India, too! Haha. He's brutally honest, and that can often hurt my feelings, but I realize it's a cultural thing. I haven't made it to Goa, yet! I would like to add that I have a wonderful Moomin collection thanks to you. It's important to stay in touch with what makes us happy. :)
My sister has a huge moomin mug collection too! I’m trying to get Annika as excited about Moomins as we are 😅❤

You are quite a contrast to your sister. Initially, I thought you were kind of an introverted person, but if anyone looks at your sister and you, you would definitely come across as a very extroverted person full of lively energy and zeal.
I'd even add Vinod. Even your husband is quite silent. Annika definitely got your enthusiasm levels in her genes. Only time will tell if it continues with time.
I never see birthdays being celebrated this silent. If anyone cuts the cake in India (at least that's my experience), the whole cake has to be on people's face, not in people's mouths. I am not sure if you have come across this experience in India. But that's the tradition in India for birthdays.

Maybe by an indian standards i might be considered quiet and a bit introverted too, but at least in Finland i’m a social butterfly 😅 i like talking and socialising but i do need a fair amount of peace, quiet and alone time too to recharge. I think personality-wise Annika is more like me when i was a kid (much louder, braver and loving attention etc) but i hope she also gets to stay like that without people forcing her to be smaller and lesser with bullying and such like i have gone through
What I like about you Nina, is your honesty. You speak your mind and you're always being yourself wherever and with whoever you are. Annika is surrounded by your such good values as wellas Vinod's, so she'll definitely be true and honest to herself and others. No one can ever bully her, I believe neither can anyone with bad intentions can go near her. She'll be fine. God bless 🙌 🙏

Government is definitely responsible and should provide care, veterinarians for checkup s, proper dog food, fresh water, housing etc.! People are paying taxes and can expect government service
