This is soooooo emotional. I get tears anytime I listen and watch this. I was there, together with 60 nationalities the world over. This is the very top of prog metal opera or whatever you want to call it. World class in all aspects. The pure joy and happiness radiates from the podium. Why? Because they thoroughly enjoy what they are doing, and love to work with Arjen. He is indeed "the mad professor" of prog metal. One of a kind unique talent. Rise up a big statue for the guy!!!!
"He could just blow up the whole lab...." Wonderful Dominica! But he didn't, our mad professor Arjen. I was there with my daughter. You guys are the best in wonder, enthousiasm and appreciation. Through your eyes and by your expressions I enjoy a near new experience with tears back in my eyes! ❤ Thank you both.
Yes, it’s basically Arjen who is the mad crazy science music professor, who writes the lyrics and composes everything. Total genius. Especially how he invites and incorporates vocalists for every role, and how he relies on the core group to be so amazing and strong with drums, guitar and keyboards. BTW, I was there,, not far from the front, and it’s always SO much better live.
LoL, I still remember the good ol' days when Dominika stumbled through her pronunciation of "Ayreon" (& Andrei's: "excuse me?") and settled for "Aiiii ron" 😂 For sure you didn't disappoint here! Lovely to see you guys returning to the master(s) of prog metal! We saw it all on Saturday (matinee), Sept 16th in 013, Tilburg. The whole thing (even the queueing up outside with Damian visiting the line) was such a fantastic & utterly wholesome experience. Pre-ordered the BD which will come out on May 17th. Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘
Did they blow up the lab? This is such a well-paced end-of-concert tune. It does *not* just beat us up with a fast pace or an overly repetitive riff... it keeps changing and growing as the storyline evolves. That is good songwriting, not matter the musical genre. I'm in line for the official hardcopy release. With a little work and re-wiring, I should be able to get some very nice sound out of my old 5.1 system. I really hoping Arjen mixed in a little extra crowd noise in the Blu-Ray's back channels... please put me in that front row, Mr. Lucassen. Just stopped by to say hello. I hope all aspects of life are doing well for you.
this song is amazing, you guys need to listen to daniel gildenlow, he is the singer with the glasses, probably my favourite among all of them, his band is incredible. check out Pain of salvation - martius nauticus II live. it will give you goosebumps
You should also watch Arjen's newest .... Lucassen & Soeterboek's Plan Nine *_"Before The Morning Comes"_* (Official Music Video): ua-cam.com/video/2l0-yHau5QY/v-deo.html from the upcoming album The Long Lost Songs. It was the early nineties, and musical polymath Arjen Lucassen had begun working on several projects: a solo album, a progressive-rock opera and a rock album. Around this time, he watched singer Robert Soeterboek perform live with Bodine, his former early-eighties heavy metal band. They started writing songs together and found a natural flow, leading to a wealth of ideas," remembers Soeterboek. "Our friendship grew as we spent more time together, and I remember that there were lots of shenanigans and laughter." Fast forward to 2022, and they revisited those recordings. The album encapsulates a glorious treasure trove of 11 original songs with a loving 70s and 80s nod. The bonus disc features all the demos and some more newly recorded tracks. The Long-Lost Songs are lost no more. Plan Nine is reborn, giving the long-lost songs a second life! This album will be released on May 17, 2024.
hi. i searched long and hard to find a review of an ayeron son that was not "the day the world breaks down" or "everybody dies" Thank goodness I finally found someone who reacts to something other than those overrated songs (which is to say really good but not as good as a lot of others). also the album name is in binary translated to the letter y, which is the name of the planet on which much of the album takes place.
My daughter and I were there front row and it was truly amazing !!😎👍 We flew there from the USA to see it and worth every penny !!
Ayreon is STORYTELLING at it's best! Arjan is the mastermind!!!!
best concert I ever attended in my life.

You two should really come over to Tilburg when the next concert is planned (we expect 2025). Ayreon concerts (plays) are a blast!!!

Great reaction, I had a blast that weekend and really enjoyed Britanny covering pregnant Floors vocals.

This was the 2nd concert i've taken my son to. Hopefully he will have a great life full of live music, but know it won't be easy to be this good....
Hi my favourite couple. Great reaction as always. 01011001 = Y, so the album title is Y when you write it in text and 01011001 in binary code.
Thank You for reacting to the video. Muchas gracias ☺️
All hail the Red - Coated genius ❗

This is Broadway. The biggest show in (prog)rock/metal. Awesome.
Arjen works a whole lot together with Joost van den Broek (ketboards)
Jonas Renkse (Katatonia) has such a mournful voice.
It should be illegal to have all that talent in one place!🤘🎸
👍Great reaction,if this doesn't lift your spirit,what does?🤘
