Clear step by step instruction. I followed the procedure and made the bulb replacement with no difficulty. How to unlatch the spring was the biggest help. Thanks.
Great job detailing the bulb specs, full replacement procedure! Very important to hear about these things to avoid damaging the bulb during install! Thank you VIRAR AUTOMOTIVE !
What a great video myself and my 16-year-old change the bulbs this save me so much money from having to pay someone to do it for me. This video was so detailed right to the point thank you.
I agree with all the comments below. Very detailed and thorough explanation. The clips are a little tricky because it's hard to see into the housing. Great job with the video!
I just watched your video. I love how you put so much detail into every step. I looked at several videos to replace a bulb and by far yours is the easiest to understand. It gives me the confidence to replace the bulb myself and save a ton of money.
OMG thank you so much! I watched this a few times but was very hesitant on doing it on myself! But today I did it. Thank you for this very detailed video. This is the best one out there!
Also, GREAT video! I've done LOTS of my own car work, but I always get on UA-cam to see how someone has done it, and yer video is Spot On, one of the best I've seen. THANKS.
This is a great video. You took great care to show how the clips go in, which way the bulb goes in and the wires. Very good detail and descriptions. Thank you.
what about the small lamp there ? i dont know what is it called but it is the first one lights up when i switch the Lighting control, maybe parking light but the white one , thanks
It's the front parking light. Here is the video for it. It's 1 bulb, that does two functions. It works as the parking light and also as the turn signal. ua-cam.com/video/fdJtTY5GSxE/v-deo.html
Hi brother I watched all the videos but that one is not covered. I am talking about small bulbs in the high beam compartment which is sometimes called a parking light, position light or side light.
Great video in general, good camera and explanations--but the video title says 2011-2014 Sonata. I have a 2011 Sonata Hybrid and my lights are different. Both high and low beams are removed by twisting the bulb 1/4 turn and removing. There are no retaining clips. The low beam H11 has a plastic base on the bulb that mates with a wiring connector from the car; the high beam H7 doesn't have a plastic base, but it still gets removed a similar way, by twisting the wiring connector and bulb 1/4 turn to get it out of the housing, then pulling the bulb strait off of the connector.
thank you for your video...Do you have a website and any instalation videos for bulb replacement for fog lamps on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T? Thanks again.
ua-cam.com/video/8ZNXBD2QVv4/v-deo.html This is the video showing how to replace the fog light bulbs. I do have a website. www.virar.ca . You can message me on instagram, Facebook as well.
No problem. I haven't been able to find very many videos for the Azera. I'm on your site to find headlight bulbs. There are several bulbs that indicate they will fit 2012 Hyundai Azera. I'm trying to find H7 or D1S 55w or 35w HID (low beams). Do you have a recommendation?
Depends on your trim level. H7 is a halogen bulb, D1S is a HID bulb. Make sure you put the proper one for your trim level. You can't just swap out a HID for a halogen or vice versa.
The factory bulb is HID D1S. I was able to get the bulb out so I can make sure I purchased the correct one. I was able to use your video to get the bulb out. Thank you again for all of your help.
I almost thought I keep back in the video, you said the exact same thing for the low & high beam bulbs when describing the circular shape lmaoo , thanks tho
@@VirarAutomotive thank you.. I had it on the tip of my time but couldn't quite think of it but thank you for responding. As a single parent your video has always helped me..
It is broadly similar in all cars, but the main point is that it is different for different cars. It's all in the details where it matters. After I complete the Sonata videos, next car in line to complete videos on would be the Mazda 3.
I have 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. The high beams are H7 and work like shown in the video. The low beams are H11. Replacing H11's is slightly different. The cap is similar but tough to remove. 1/4 turn left then it pulls out (I needed to use pliers to pull it.) Bulb doesn't have clip but instead is another 1/4 turn. When putting bulb in recommend plugging bulb in FIRST then inserting into socket. I did not and bulb slipped from fingers and got lost "some where" in the housing. I couldn't get it out. I just gave up, made sure to first plug in a second new bulb, then squeezed it into socket with 1/4 twist to lock it. It's my ex-wife's car. She may hear a rattle sometime in the future from the headlight. I'm going to play dumb. Light still works. Good bye $25+ bulb but short of disassembling the car it wasn't coming out.
Which model number of Auxito H7 bulb do you recommend to work for both DRL and High beams which do not cause flickering/error code on the dashboard of Sonata Hybrid 2014? I prefer the one that fits in with the back cover without modification. Will the brightness be the same as using high beams when using DRLs? Thank you for your video.
auxito.com/collections/h7-led-forward-lighting-bulbs/products/h7-led-bulbs-16000lm-6500k-xenon-white-compact-design-halogen-replacement I used these ones when I did the auxito bulb review video. Unfortunately I couldn't find one that could fit without me having to take the back cover off. These bulbs worked well for the high beam/DRL on the 2011 Sonata without any flickering or dashboard lights or codes.
Probably yes.but should be very similar. The housing for the Hybrid looks different than the regular one. I haven't worked on a Hybrid before so couldn't say for sure. But worth a try.
I need help bro. I’ve got a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that has a dim driver side headlight but I can’t seem to find the area of the chassis that the ground wire is connected to
You can just work with your hands, but just be sure to not touch the bulb's glass surface with your bare hands. Oil on the skin surface will get on the bulb and degrade the bulb's lifespan
Yeah, but with minor differences for high beam and low beam and for the left side vs right side. Just trying to show all the details I can and that it is equally easy to change both the left and right side bulbs.
Low Beam Bulb : H7
High Beam Bulb : H7

FOUR of these H7 bulbs, NOT H7 and H11. Wonder why the internets throw in the H11.
That's correct. Its all H7 Bulbs. High beam and Low Beam

This is not correct for all 2014 sonata’s, it was a totally different bulb.😊
You probably have the Hybrid version? They did have different bulbs.
What kind of clock are you talking about? Red illuminated 10:30, grey/black liquid crystal because it sounds analog??his clock has arms?? LMAO
