When I first went to Argentina one of the first musicians I got into was Spinetta. Fortunately for me, the people who would become my lifelong friends were all rockers, so we all attracted to each other like flies. It was odd to discover Spinetta before some of the more known mainstream (internationally) bands and musicians like Charly, Fito Paez, and Soda, but falling into that dreamscape really gave me the opertunity to feel the depths of Argentinian rock. Spinetta's solo live stuff is out of this world and I introduce him every chance I get to people here in the states.
I loved the unpredictability of it! 'Twas like a salad of little bits of fruit riffs, nutty vocals, cherry tomato drum fills, and lots of crazy dynamic croutons! 🎼🥗
Dean Invisible was all about the genius of Luis Alberto Spinetta and a cool thigh band that captivated me throughout mi teenage years and beyond…I miss him and his music! Great genuine reaction.
Yes, the old portal to heaven Yes, the old portal to heaven It can cool the bodies of today and yesterday The memory is denied for healthy and burns At the gates of a city That howls without being seen The planets rotate without knowing it Just as your memory lives in them Without you being able to run there Without you being able to run there Shadowy blizzards chase away the smoke Of some dolls that burn In the fiery red dawn of madness The faces that look out the window They want to crystallize in my thought in a hallucinatory way in a hallucinatory way As if the furniture could tell me about them Without moving Producing incomprehensible noises behind my back the night despite your arrogant way to rock wherever you want And the clothes of the servants They walk through the house The night comes and maybe Tomorrow there is no time with shadows The light falls asleep between the stones Greed shakes its feathers Splashing the immolated grass Dogs fly in the legs of the night that the cold wind moans From the mouth of an eyeless dragon The hole of days of intense rain Try to magnetize some faceless woman that haunts the house The distance is a flow of eternity Crouched on the back of a lion ------ This is the translation of this masterpiece. You've just heard the most beautiful progressive rock ever recorded. The music and lyrics that grew up on Spinetta's mind (which you've reacted to his later band Spinetta Jade), with that characteristic tenderness that you can recognice that the same person that is singing is who is playing the guitar, because "psychedelia" mean "to show the soul" , and he is giving his soul as a gift any note he played and any note he sang.
@@deanwolfechannel Thanks for sharing indeed. The 3rd album by Invisible contains pearls that contains so much things in 5 minutes and are unforgettable, nothing similar in anglo rock, like "El anillo del capitán Beto", "Los libros de la buena memoria" or "Perdonado (niño condenado)"....shivery and tender at the same time, that's Spinetta. Greetings!
welcome to the world of spinetta, a musical genius from Argentina and for me the best in the world...his music and poetry are incredible and this progressive stage in incredible invisible and spinetta jade are beastly I kept listening and investigating the whole world of spinetta Greetings.
Of course the music speaks for itself, but a big part of Spinetta's magic is also on his very poetic and surreal lyricism. This track comes from Durazno Sangrando, a concept album based on an already very cryptic taoist book, I doubt anyone on earth can begin to understand what he meant to say on any of these lyrics hahaha but it adds so much to his style. another favorite of mine from this record is En Una Lejana Playa del Animus, a festival of fantastic psychedelic riffs, badass drumming and groovy basslines :)
Hola Prog Dog, solo para dejar unas palabras de cariño a este tema y a los artistas que lo interpreta. Al que no le saca una lagrima el solo de Luis al final , no quiere a su vieja.
As I said, if you love trios and prog rock, then Invisible is for you, try this song of theirs for a "power trio" demostration: "Suspension" ua-cam.com/video/fONk0v6yaOM/v-deo.html (Invisible was a trio, the picture with the 4th member was only for their last album) On the other hand their last album with the 4th member is "exquisite" and "delicate" the two adjectives I can only come up with - the new member was an amazing guitarist: ua-cam.com/video/qKUW1dVt__Y/v-deo.html
"Cornostipicum"

Yes, the old portal to heaven
Yes, the old portal to heaven
It can cool the bodies of today and yesterday
The memory is denied for healthy and burns
At the gates of a city
That howls without being seen
The planets rotate without knowing it
Just as your memory lives in them
Without you being able to run there
Without you being able to run there
Shadowy blizzards chase away the smoke
Of some dolls that burn
In the fiery red dawn of madness
The faces that look out the window
They want to crystallize in my thought
in a hallucinatory way
in a hallucinatory way
As if the furniture could tell me about them
Without moving
Producing incomprehensible noises behind my back
the night despite
your arrogant way
to rock wherever you want
And the clothes of the servants
They walk through the house
The night comes and maybe
Tomorrow there is no time with shadows
The light falls asleep between the stones
Greed shakes its feathers
Splashing the immolated grass
Dogs fly in the legs of the night
that the cold wind moans
From the mouth of an eyeless dragon
The hole of days of intense rain
Try to magnetize some faceless woman
that haunts the house
The distance is a flow of eternity
Crouched on the back of a lion

Very nice. I liked some of those lyrics. Didnt know about definition of psychedelia

Great review. Other great tune is El Anillo del Capito Beto.
Makes a review of a great Brazilian Band,Os mutantes. 1974 , tudo foi feito pelo Sol
Invisible the best band from Argentina. The best rock in Spanish is from Argentina 70/80 and 90.
