Hi Alan, your videos on superelevation have given me so much insight into alignment design. Have been following the 'Finish Strong Friday- Civil 3D Superelevation' playlist, but Part 4 of that series is somehow missing. Would you kindly consider reposting?
Part 4 was a call to another playlist since this topic is so big. Here is the link: civilimmersion.typepad.com/civil_immersion/2017/03/finish-strong-friday-civil-3d-superelevation-part-4-superelevation-view-editing.html
after finishing the super elevation calculation and edited with excel and load the excel to c3d i just coudn't see the effects on the shoulder super elevation i always fide it to be the normal cross slope i did on my shoulder sub assembly
Hello, first i would like to thank you for this tutorials which are very helpful, also i would like to ask you about Superelevation from the left or right edge-of-pavement. Is it the same procedure like it was 2005? The procedure was to creat a left pivoting assembly by placing a LinkWidthAndSlope as the first subassembly. Then to build the left lane, you used the LaneTowardCrown and then attached the LaneOutsideSuper as the right lane.
hi Alan, this is an informative class. other then this do you have any presentation about the super elevation of planer road with pivot of the left side and similarly left side is higher. I have run this situation in civil 3d 2016 and ended up with theoretically wrong graphics. In my case, all the lanes and curb gutter are on the right side of the cross hair. I also have curb on the left side of cross hair but I kept it in the right side of assembly group. I have assign right outer lane to super elevate to all lanes. Please advice.
hello sir, here my question is , i have some Internal roads plan n profiles cad file which designed on max super elevation is 2% and on normal crown slope also -2 % but in civil 3d there is now criteria at 2% s.e. how can i re-calculate this criteria in civil 3d.?
Thanks so much Alan, your videos are still amazingly helpful even in 2023, thanks for sharing this knowledge and also being so in-depth in explaining!
really good intro to the subject, well done
