My wife and I were at the concert. It was fantastic. She sounded so good. It was our first Angelina concert. Regarding the band, I actually don’t think it was too loud. Not any louder than any other live performances I have been to. don’t think it necessarily has to do with how loud the musicians are playing, it’s more like the levels which the engineer can control. I didn’t feel that they drowned her out at anytime. Actually I think a few times she moved the mic away too much. A few glitches but overall it was a wonderful show. Nice to hear some songs she hadn’t done in a while and of course a new song was a great surprise. I thought she might announce when her album was finally going to be released. So good to see Rob Christie there. Kind of surprised she didn’t announce him.
I am soooooo happy that the concert was everything you hoped it would be, AJ is the best thing to happen to music in my almost 77 years of experiencing the best the industry has to offer.
I was there at the 9:30 show. The concert was amazing. Angelina looked beautiful. Her vocals were amazing. Her new song is amazing. The band was really good. The new songs sounded like the EP. Her black dress with diamonds and her diamond bracelet over her black gloves was just beautiful.
From the videos I have seen this morning of the Westgate Concert last night, I have to draw this conclusion; Angelina Jordan has an unbelievable voice that deserves to be heard clearly and fully. A band that plays too loudly or too much can drown out her exquisite vocal nuances and expressions. She does not need a band to hide any flaws, because she does not have any. She only needs a few instruments to accompany her and enhance her heavenly sounds. Every breath she takes is a part of her musical magic.
I actually don’t agree. I was there and at no time did I think the band was too loud or drowned her out. As good as cell phone video has improved it still can’t capture exactly what it was like at the concert. Yes on some songs minimal instrumentation is perfect but she does much than those songs. I think the band was great. She has played with full bands since she was 9 years old.
Having seen/heard six songs so far, and have to say that AJ, Republic Rob, band, and team pretty much all delivered on a much hoped for an incredible 'west side of the USA' debut. Thanks for improving on what New Hampshire was. Glad to know Republic Rob was there and actively involved with band. I trust Rob knows AJ, his arrangements and piano skills time and again have presented our Barefoot Princess in the greatest light.

YES, so agree, for the hoped for minimalisation of the band...I think Republic Rob should perhaps influence the 'sound mix' decisions very soon as I wonder if his 'hands off/carte blanche' (seemingly) approach for NH and LV now, will continue. He probably exercises limitations, though the Christmas event he seemingly guided to near musical blending perfection. I so hope Angelina can get to that type of understated+nuanced-level of musical performance collaboration again 🌹. Cheers 🥂

I went to both concerts and I agree with you that I wish the band was a little lower but they were better than Portsmouth. I would like it better if it was all just with a piano or a guitar and let that incredible voice be heard.I find all the instruments annoying and distracting. Thank you.

What was Angie's stage banter and audience interaction like this time around? Sometimes she does seem a little shy and awkward and gets all tangled up. She will get better at this part of performing no doubt. And lastly, does the public unveiling of her new song mean the rest of the album is very imminent? Cheers.
Yes I thought her interaction with the audience was quite good this time. Not repeating herself nearly as much, keeping the flow of the songs better, not talking as often, still very endearing and heartfelt. As for the album, it depends on how you define “very imminent”! She said new material was coming out soon, but that could mean next fall or next week! Seems like the new song has to come out within the next few weeks at least
