What has really improved since the age of 16 is the stage precence ,her acting out the feelings that she always inbodies in every interpretation of the song is epic

There is always an effortless feeling about AJ's delivery. She is now a full-blown diva.This is partly what the judge at "Norske Talenter" indirectly was hinting at with his statement: "imagine, in ten years you will be18years old (meaning, AJ would have years to developed her most significant gift) ... here we se the result, and she is not done!

I immediately checked all the churches near the Palladium - it's a little further away from there, but not much: It's St. James' Church in Sussex Gardens in Paddington, London. It's halfway between the south entrance to Paddington station and Lancaster Gate to Hyde Park.
The church is also near the Grosvenor Hotel on the east edge of Hyde Park where the Ivors awards were held.
Interestingly, the Singing for the Uber Driver video from a previous visit to London was recorded long that east edge of Hyde Park.

Yes, you are right. There are passages where you hear the cello and violins together . Still , for me, its perfect.

Never saw so many reactors jump on one great song so fast. Reactors I have never seen in my life are coming out of the woodwork. Trouble is that Angelina will be making them money, while she gets nothing in return. Toby needs to get Angelina on a talk show, or variety show like he did for Victoria Justice a few years ago. Now she shows up in Europe, wonder what is up with that move? He has a "Piano Diaries" concert in June which she will appear on, among other singers.

Hi there, Chris! Thanks for addressing what's been bugging ME as well, namely that they chose the studio sound instead of the live. For the same reasons as you mention. I just wonder about the reasoning behind it. And let's be honest, if people new to her see and hear this for the first time, they MAY be thinking that she's just another one of those studio artists that sound like crap live. And THAT is bothering me, because absolutely nothing could be further from the truth, as all of her Angels know ofc. But it is what it is, and it isn't half bad 🤣😂😂😂 It is STELLAR. But still.... Chris, thanks for the careful and nice comments, Angie is simply wonderful this time, but I don't think the reactions damage her too much, because after you listen to her once you need to listen to her again and again, her voice captivates you. You freeze ... endlessly listening to her wonderful voice and admiring her fantastic musical sensitivity, even the simplest song that passes through her hands becomes fantastic. She is simply unique and with a wonderful melodic perception. This interpretation (isn't a cover for me) is curative for the your soul and the soft background accompaniment of the piano and cello give her a beautiful silky backdrop.💛🧡❤
I have been following since she was 7..I was 2nd row center in Vegas..Us long term followers will be left in the dust as she ascends..We have to be ok with it..She will grow in her own time and the way she wants to and its all good..She is one of the greats and we should just be happy to be able to part of her journey..She is so much bigger than us..all love

An absolute masterpiece regardless of where it is recorded.
Interesting opening observation, Chris, about hearing footsteps when Angelina is normally barefoot. Maybe she walked in with shoes, then took them off before she started singing. But that was a clue for other discrepancies, like the violins that are heard but not seen, along with the cellist's movements not being in synch with the sound. And what happened to the echo in the church that Angelina mentioned in her Instagram message last week when she and Toby were jamming All Of Me? Either these things were altered afterwards in production, or they were also recorded in a studio, and later mixed. Don't know. But it is an amazing performance and top quality video-how Angelina should be presented to the world. Each version so far has its own purpose and audience. I would LOVE to see them both perform this song on a few late night talk shows, especially when her album comes out, assuming this song will be on it. But Toby's amazing track record and Grammy-winning reputation for many of the top singers in the business should be an entrée for her. This promises to be an exciting summer hopefully filled with more releases and concerts.
The resonance in her low register singing is beyond that of any other singer out there. Then you bring in
her power responses as well as the 'breathy' ones she learned from Billie Holiday which gives the listener
a true look into her unique, vocal versatility.

I think this is just a music video. To me sounds there are more strings involved than just one cello in this video. I don't mind this being a studio version. A professional artist must make also real studio versions. She can sing live. Everybody knows that if they are familiar with her career at all.

This performance in church with the strings is just exquisitely beautiful. I was surprised to hear the lip sync comment. I don't have your technical background to discern those things. Regardless, this will be a magical year for Angelina. A story-teller supreme, gifted with a voice like none other. If only the rest of the world would hit pause and take a moment to listen to this young lady sing. Angelina is nourishment for the soul, in a very beautiful package.

Interesting that you say this is not live but perhaps the echo in that church (St. James' Church in Sussex Gardens in London) was too delayed to make a good production or they fixed it in post production but I like both versions they put out. More Angelina is always preferred.
Im not sure that its not live; as we know Angelina is crazy good live and I would not be at all surprised if it were confirmed this was all recorded live in the church, one take! I just didn’t hear the reverb I would expect, but it could have been fixed in post like you said. Obviously they added strings..

I hate to disagree with you Chris but i think that the added instrumention in this is much better. All of the versions are nothing less than superb...
I like the added instruments too! Just saying that it seems like it’s not recorded live, and the violins are definitely not live..

Chris, in my opinion, I don’t think Angelina was lip syncing in this performance. She certainly is in the “official” video that has a pop feel to it.
AJ Has the pipes to pull off any song she sings. The only thing she needs is New management.
The best singer by far with heavenly music. In the Tik Tok and some of her resent performance there is a little too much focus by her on her looks and that can never be a good thing.
Nice reaction Chris! You probably know by now that the location is Saint James Church. The few complaints about her dress is a bit of nonsense. Like you said, she is getting older and that, to me, she looks very classy and elegant. Like you, I was hoping the other video would be coming out at the same time, but I guess we have to wait a little bit longer. The Artist Version(what Toby Gad called it) has more instrumentation and sounds commercial radio ready. I hope and I think Toby will write some original songs for Angelina. One of the problem AJ has is the songs are coming out to slow. It all a numbers game for her right now. She by far is one of the most talented singer(maybe ever), but she need to start releasing songs every two weeks or at min Monthy. She can sing anything-Rupublic need to turn her loose and let her access to all their writers songs.

At least 3 takes for at least the video. If they recorded the church session, which from the way she handled the mic It looks like they did I want to hear it. I just don't hear this version in the church but I am not in the biz. Would love to know for sure.
Thank you so much Chris. You made some really good points in your reaction . A phenomenal performance. I was particularly pleased that the instrumentation accompanied the voice...allowing her vocals to be the focus. Her voice was not competing with the instrumentation. I do believe that we are getting to the stage where videos and recordings really need to step up. I know she is still finding her way, experimenting and developing her amazing talent. However these performances and presentations are too far and few between. It really is time for the people guiding her career path to step up to the next level.
This music video version is this exactly the same as the studio version you find on streaming services ? I feel it sounds a little different.
I don't think this was recorded live. The only obvious clue that I detected is at 02:16 on the word "Me". She opens her mouth before you hear the end of the word "Me". I'm nitpicking that way, sorry lol.

When you say lip sync, are you saying that she is just moving her lips or she is singing along to a previously recorded track?
I’m guessing the standard practice for many music videos, singing along to a previously recorded track, and the music and vocals you hear are that track. Nothing wrong with that at all. But I could be wrong! And, if the track is previously recorded, it could very well have been done in one long take. She is an awesome live performer.
