      If you watched the Front Bumper/Winch Video, you'll see I took all his balls away and had them up on the engine. He can be pretty insistent about wanting to play...LOL...... it lucky he's cute !!

      Its about the easiest thing you can do... Its just one bolt and a lot of zip ties !

      Its kind of essential modification if your going to drive into water. Other wise you need to change your axles oil every month. 🙄

    Looks simple but I bet it wasn't. Can't wait for your next post.

      These are all really simple things. Just turn a bolt and run the hose. Attaching it to the engine compartment was the biggest challenge... LOL.

    You didn’t say what size the factory fitting was that you removed. did you use it again or did the arb fitting go into the axle? So much left out

      Yes, you remove the OEM valve and replace it with a straight hose connector that is then routed to a higher location.

    Good job! What's next for the "Overlander" ?

      I was going to get it lifted in July, but they told me I would need New wheels and tires to move the tire away from the UCA. That adds another $2000 to the budget, so its on hold until I see if these lottery tickets pay out.

    I have this same exact 1.5ton jack from harbor freight. I have the same 4runner as you too. should I get the 3 ton or is this one ok?

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  4 роки тому +1

      It stuggles (or maybe I do) to lift the whole front end, and a little on the entire rear end. But it gets it up there. Its an awful nice light weight jack.

      just to get it up on the jack stands is enough I hope. or else I might exchange it for the 3ton. thanks for the reply!

    You have crossed over into the zone from where there is no return.

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  5 років тому

      No, that's why I installed the winch... so I can always Return...LOL 😂😇😜🙄

      @@GoingNoWhereFast HAHA! Wasn't referring to being stuck out in the wild. The zone you have now entered, of your own free will, is the "hmmmmn, what can I do next to make it better?" zone. It can become a never ending series of "if I do this now, I better do this also, just so I don't have to take that apart again to do the other thing I want to do." Like I said have fun, make it practical to suit your needs and enjoy what you are doing. As you know the more you do yourself, the more you learn about your vehicle.

      @@ernestpaul2484 No, I'm hoping the winch can pull me out of this abyss of continuing to sink money into a perfectly fine vehicle...LOL

    Live and learn! This was all new to me. If you need a new floor jack, the Bear at Den of Tools has some good videos on some Harbor Freight jacks that he says are very good. Here's a link to one of them:

      I'm trying to convince my son he needs a good jack, then I can steal his and leave mine... he would never notice the change... LOL. He drives a corolla ! 🙄😊
