Love your vids Terry and seeing all your mates and the laughs you have. My first ever Match I went to was Roker Park with my Dad, about 1958, he was Sunderland daft. When I got older and joined the Royal Marines, my mates were all Newcastle supporters so I ended up being a Mag. What I like about you is that you are magnanimous towards other Teams and thats how it should be. All true Supporters are the same, make the same sacrifices, have the same highs and lows, just love different teams. Put this Season behind you and plan for better things ahead. From a newcastle fan's perspective it was just the other day Sunderland were 6th, sacked Mowbray, we were going through a difficult part of our season and we drew you lot in the Cup, talk of Howe getting the sack. Since then I have just seen Sunderland slide into relegation threat while we are chasing Spurs down. Its a case of never take anything for granted.
Good luck in the off season, there is work to be done because it is just not good enough.
Newcastle are streets ahead of Sunderland. No matter what happens from this point onwards it will always be the case.

@@Bazooka183 Sorry respectfully disagree. Newcastle are currently on an upward trajectory but in the cycle of life there are up's and downs. At some point Newcastle will find themselves below Sunderland. Our problems are nearly always self-inflicted but eventually our great fans will get the Premier League team we deserve. Personally I like to see all of the North East teams do well. I followed the comments of the Chelsea fans when they visited the Boro in the Cup. Their attitude to the whole of the North was derogatory and insulting and they specifically mentioned Newcastle.

I am so pleased Sheffield Wednesday did not get relegated...
So pleased this season is over... We have ended up a pathetic 16th in the table. A very poor season for Sunderland losing 22 games out of 46 games played... Just simply not good enough.
Well done Leicester and Ipswich for getting promoted into the Premiership.

Watched the game on ifollow and am very glad that the we got the win to survive in the league but I really think that if this match had been played a month or so ago then the performance from Sunderland would have been very different, they really didn't seem too comitted today. Got a few things to say, first I want to say congrats to Sheffield Wednesday for staying up, also congrats to Ipswich for getting promoted to the prem, unlike us they've actually showed everyone who to be really ambitious when you've just come up from league one, also we've got to thank Mowbray for getting us enough points in the first part of the season to be just about safe and finally well done to this wonderful regime for absolutely destroying this season, I want action now I want statements to be announced immediately and before people say but the season's just ended no our season ended the day they sacked Mowbray and had no plan B, I say this lot have had plenty of time already to think about what they've done wrong this season, ideally I want a statement to come out about the club being put up for sale or at the very least Speakman and Dodd's are leaving, if none of these options happen then we're getting relegated next season cos the rot has set in now and the only way we come back from this is massive changes behind the scenes, massive summer ahead for this football club but like I said unless there's changes with the coaching staff, regime and ownership then I can only see us going one way and that's back down to the league one

I liked the way Sheffields manager set his team up, they are not the most skillful but they showed us the way home today. Wouldnt mind seeing him at Sunderland next season. Did you read thaneME,s comment earlier, he said everything that i was thinking. It was dreadful today, and there needs to be a Major clearout starting at the top.
Talk for the last few weeks on Radio Sheffield is about the possibility of our manager going to Sunderland. Think he rather special, would do a great job for you but of course I hope he says with The Wednesday.

At least now this pantomime has ended and not a happy ending. The second half of the season has be a disaster, bad decisions made by a bad board with a bad manager , all who are clueless, and as far as I am concerned should not be in charge of Sunderland AFC. I am now waiting to see what happens next, and hope any announcement's come sooner than later.. These people, the board and manager should be hanging their heads in shame as to what they have done to the club...

Cheers Terry for another season of covering all things Sunderland - it’s been a bit of slog! I wish I shared the same optimism for next season as some of your guests in this video! Personally I’m worried about the direction the club are going under this management structure. 40pts off automatic promotion and only 6pts off relegation tells its own story. No manager, better performing players rumoured to leave and club alleging to be making a loss every week. Worrying times for me Terry. Yes there’s been some injuries but there’s also been some poor decisions made. Concerned where this might lead.

Sunderland collapse this season probably not even rivaled by Birmingham. After thrashing is in the 9th game, you were in 4th, 14 points ahead of us (even worse after 10 games, 17 points in front and averaging almost 2 points a game). Ended the season just 3 points ahead and nowhere near the play offs.
I dont know if this was massively overperforming in the early part, or underperforming since, or a bit of both

Apologies to Birmingham City for our display , not only today but for the past few months, The players and Dodds can apologise as much as they like the facts are we are woeful and to produce this type of half arsed performance shows a distinct lack of professional pride and little to no thought for the fans who have spent hard earned cash to support them . To quote Peter Farrer from `Sunderland til I die` at Wembley he said of the fans " Most of them haven`t got a pot to piss in ! but they are here " Too true and these players need to realise that . After a promising start the season has ended in a self inflicted disaster. Mowbray's results at the beginning of the season have masked the poor form we have endured since his sacking. I have zero confidence in the club and next season I predict we will be flirting with relegation.

I know Mowbray had his critics ( though I was certainly not one of them) but I wonder where in the table we would have finished had he remained in charge ( his illness not withstanding of course). I'm 100% certain we'd have finished top half at the very least, though maybe the play offs might have been asking too much of our current squad. The point is, his sacking has been proven to be a big mistake. We need new ideas, some experienced players to supplement the young talent, and a Head coach who can galvanise the club & supporters. A huge summer awaits, because if next season continues as this one has post-Mowbray, then relegation is a certainty.

Speakman needs to go asap. He decides to sack mowbury with no one lined up who is better . He appoints Beale . He then sacks Beale with nearly half the season left and again has no plan to bring some one better in . All decent businesses have succession plans , we don’t .
Add to this his last 3 transfer windows and he has failed in his job . He said we are going for too 2 and has therefore failed massively . Since Christmas we are bottom of the league and if we don’t make maker changes this summer we will struggle next season

Sunderland have been absolutely abysmal for more than half of this season. The thinking that excellent individual talent divorced of team ethic and guidance would save us, is blind, arrogant and stupid. There are no leaders on the pitch and no manager with vision or experience guiding them; a sure fire recipe for outright failure. With this clueless model, we will get relegated next season.
