When Murray was in London in the 'eighties I drove him and Joey from their hotel to a libertarian meeting at the home of John Blundell, later to be the head of the Institute of Economic Affairs. Joey found the London traffic a bit scary - "The roads keep changing width, all these roundabouts, and David is driving on the wrong side of the road!" Murray replied: "As long as all the other drivers also keep driving on the wrong side of the road we should be OK". The other drivers did. The Rothbards survived!
The book that converted me is Anatomy of the State. Everything else on Austrian economics, the Fed starts to fit in place once you understand Anatomy of the State!
Really really stoked for that Making Of book. I hope you and Dr Salerno are able to use George Reisman as a resource since he was so close to Rothbard in the 50s while he was writing MES
Quite nice, but completely glossed over the immense contribution of Power and Markets, and monopoly theory that built on the work of Gustave de Molinari bringing it into the twentieth century.

Just as valuable an historian as an economist. Brilliant mind.
I actually finished reading MES before I finished Human Action, and I got the latter first
Patrick loves Rothbard so much he even sounds like Rothbard 😂
A lecture about rothbard by rothbards long lost son
he does sound rothbardy

appreciated 👍
Rothbard did more good than Rand
Can’t compare, Rand was horrible

Wouldn't say it was 'glossed over'. He only had 45 minutes. He's well aware a ton of important stuff needed to be left on the cutting room floor.
@@jakelm4256 That is the very definition of glossed over. Rothbard is Mr. Anarcho-capitalism, that is his greatest contribution.
@@justinmichaelptak3454what about Hans Hermann Hoppe? He’s Mr … who?
imagine this in contrast to a why on Janet Yellen as an economist in history.
Peanut butter is a great money substitute. Particularly at festivals.
MURRY drew a line in the sand… and this is why he’s relevant… 10 minutes.
