    Putting seat belts on motorcycle's is the dumbest idea ever .
    Because, if you ever go into a skid or if another vehicle hits the bike , there's no chance for the rider to push away from the deadly impact.
    A driver must have the option to push away from the bike in case of loss of control or impact.

    Seatbelts were mandatory in either Illinois or Indiana in the 1960s. For that year, many people were dragged to death because they were attached to something that will slide much further than a human body will in contact with the street.
    I have had crashes on road race tracks. One of them I had to follow the scratch marks across the asphalt, across the grass, and into the swamp at Nelson ledges Road race track in Ohio. My motorcycle was in 18 inches of water when I found it. That was a 70 or 80 mph relatively slow speed, race track crash.
    can you imagine being strapped to a motorcycle when a car stops in front of you, and you have a natural reflex to jump up or bail out. Beth being strapped to the motorcycle?
    when I was in high school in 1969. The Honda CB 750 was released that year. One of the local motorcyclists had a brand new 750 Honda. Two women in a VW beetle. Ran a stop sign in front of him. His 750 Honda went through the Volkswagen, killing the driver and the passenger in the front seat. The rider went over the car and was relatively undamaged.. is 750 Honda went through the car, in the drivers door and out the passenger door of that Volkswagen beetle..
    someone needs to save us from the people trying to save us. These rules like motorcycle seatbelts , Are things that committees come up with to try to justify their phony baloney jobs. They come up with a cure for a problem that does not exist, and we are stuck with it, things like traction control, ABS, brakes, stability control that’s a great one.
    traction control almost got me killed one day in my company car on a snowy day. I was trying to pull out of a gas station onto a four-lane highway after getting gas, there was snow on the sides of the road. As I stopped to look to my left, I saw a gasoline truck tanker coming, but he was about 300 feet away. So I started to pull out. Traction control kicked in because I was crossing the snow that was on the edges of the road. my company jeep started shuttering and stuttering and not moving forward very fast as that gas truck was approaching at about 40 miles an hour. That gas truck laid on the horns, and swerved into the oncoming lanes because they were clear to miss me.
    from that event on, I have always turned off the traction control as soon as I clicked my seatbelt in the Jeep, it became an automatic reflex for me.
    go on UA-cam and look at all the people that live in remote areas like Montana that deal with snow sometimes five months of the year. And they live out in the sticks in those mountainous areas. They have remedies for bypassing traction control so they can actually get home in the snow, especially pick up trucks. These people that live miles back private dirt roads that don’t get plowed or salted in the winter by the local municipality. These people start into their private driveways are private roads miles from home, and their pick up trucks don’t even make it 50 feet because traction control, detect wheel spin, especially in general motors and Ford pick up trucks that the traction control could not be turned off.. that is life-threatening..
    One of the big motorcycle magazines did a road test on a new model dual sport motorcycle that was coming out with ABS brakes standard. This is a motorcycle like a jeep they can be at home on asphalt or on dirt or gravel roads. That magazine road test advised people not to buy that motorcycle if they intend to take it off road which is what it was made for. It was trendy at the time to put traction control on motorcycles I guess as a selling feature. The magazine pointed out if you are on a trail that has snow , mud, shell, loose rocks, which is guaranteed when you go off road riding, you will have no brakes.. on that motorcycle, you could not turn off the ABS. That is almost criminal negligence on the part of the manufacturer.
    I had a 900 pound motorcycle with ABS brakes that could not be turned off.. here was my personal experience with ABS, which I have made it more than 700,000 miles over the past 5 decades without..
    On my BMW, K 1200 LT motorcycle, I was searching for a campground. My friends were camped at. I was on a back road, and I need to go down a slight slope about 300 feet long, covered with fly ash and cinders. No big deal, I started down that slope on my BMW with abs.. I touched the brakes to maintain my speed at around 25 miles an hour. The system detected the gravel. I had no brakes, front or rear, nothing. There was a 90° turn at the bottom of the hill that I was not going to make. I tried pumping the brakes, I tried staying on the brakes, I thought about shutting the key off, this took about 10 seconds, so I had time to think and react and try different things.
    thankfully, there was an auto salvage yard at the very bottom of the hill straightahead about 10 feet off the road. I ran into the fence surrounding the salvage yard, only breaking my front fender. I sold that BMW as soon as my new fender came in because of the ABS brakes…
    Back in my company, car one day in the rain, I was merging onto an expressway downhill. That vehicle had traction control and stability control built-in. I have a lot of experience driving in the snow and on ice, when I was a kid I used to go out, doing donuts in the snow, practicing in big parking lots to see with cars will do in the snow, even in the rain. So I have the proper reflexes for when the car over steers. but I had to slow down almost to a stop as I emerged, which was unusual for that entrance ramp. The stability control took over because I had to slow down from about 50 down to about 20 really fast, the Jeep stability control made the car act like I never felt before, I don’t know how those systems work, they alternate, breaking pressure to different wheels, I almost lost it because of the stability control…
    Someone needs to save us from people, trying to save us by committee
    .

    UA-cam wants you to make Videos over 10 minutes long and as often as possible. You might want to put out more shorter videos. Many UA-cam watchers don't have the attention Span or time to watch a 49 Minute Video even though it was very interesting. You really do appear to have a great passion for Motorcycling. When I was young I wanted to be a Motorcycle mechanic though it didn't pay very well back then.
    I see my Local Power Sports Dealer charges $149.00 per hour to work on bikes. I am guessing they pay mechanics much better now as there is a shortage of them. If there was a Surplus of mechanics, I would guess wages would be lower.

    I live in California I used to ride sport bikes now I ride Indian. Yes I split lanes but I was raised as lane filtering so once I hit third gear that means we're going 45 50 mph I will get right back in normal ride mode. Still do have people try to block me or swerve at me because they're mad cuz they're stuck. Yes people that exceed the speed limit while lane splitting makes it dangerous. So with the Minnesota rule it's a bit slow I said 40 mph is a more reasonable speed when you're filtering or splitting

    Thats cool news about Hydrogren Gas with Internal Combustion Engines, its been researched in the past using Water Electrolysis where you separate the Hydrogen from the Water and then feed the Hydrogen Gas into the engine. Its basically the samething these motorcycle scientists are trying to do without the Electrolosys Process. I don't know now but its been a taboo subject to research improving the method to electrolise water. You also have Brown Gas which is basically feeding Hydrogen into a gas torch for cutting metal instead of an engine. Actually Gasoline and Diesel and Jet Fuel partially work on Hydrogen Gas as well, that why they call them Hydro Carbon. Also all those processes require Fresh Air as well since fresh air contains Oxygen and you need oxygen as well for the combustion process. And yes the exhaust will have water vapor comoing out the tailpape as the hydrogen recombine with oxygen. Which also means you need high quality stainless steel exhaust pipes because the hot water vapor will rust out cheap exhaust pipes.

Especially Robby Starbucks video on their DEI practice they are imposing on employees. Seems to be a lot of missteps being made by upper management lately. That is always concerning. Utah Physicians going after the local dealerships? Haha How about they stay in their lane practicing medicine. They must have some neighbors with Harley-Davidsons they don't like. What a waste of resources. Love that Elvis bike even though I don't even know where the Triumph dealer in my area is. When manufacturers do this I think it is great. So much of this seems to be bad news lol. That being said as far as the automatic motor cycle goes I'm not a fan atleast in the us. Considering the amount of people who shouldn't be driving cars I'm not really sure it's a good idea to just lower the bar on something more physical and requires attention at all times so you don't kill yourself or get run over by a car cause they aren't paying attention.
    What ever happens I'm sticking with to manual and enjoy what you like just saying just because of there is more of a thing doesn't always mean it's a good thing.

      You actually do make a compelling point about "lowering the bar" I hadn't considered it from that point of view and I'll say while I do think you make a strong point, there's still the benifits of riders who have the passion to ride but maybe some limited physical disability and automatic gearbox might just make riding possible or easier for them.

    A lot to unpack with this news, lol
    For HD, I feel they need to re-evaluate a lot of things. I’m more bothered they’re trying to get credit to their own engineers instead of getting Trask & Bakers to redo their drivetrain post of motor to solve the issues.
    And with the dealers selling bikes without cats isn’t surprising, as more I dealt with dealers, they seem to lie about the inspection & repairs they done to resold bikes. And I’m on the unpopular opinion that cats don’t ruin the performance, but I’m used to dealing with actual performance vehicles, lol.

      For the Hydrogen design, I’m happy for it, as the battery electric stuff has been proving terrible with manufacturers. Like the claim to 600 miles range, I doubt it, as any claimed ranges has proven to be a lie in bikes & cars. I like my electric unicycle, but it’s a different kinda crazy than something with frame, brakes, & other parts.

    • @Confedyank

      For the XSR900, I’m ok with retro bikes, as long as they kept the electrical harness minimal for weight save, & they can keep the controls like early 2000’s with as most basic ABS added. My main dislike of retro bikes simply has been their price tag. I love my Road King as it is retro classic, even some mods that makes it modern. But I didn’t have to break the bank to have it, lol

    • @Confedyank
      @Confedyank 2 місяці тому

      For KTM, I’m not sure what’s going on with them. But for Norton, I’m not surprised as Triumph & RE has been doing pretty well, & Norton brings a whole another bit to the retro classic Brit bikes niche with them being esp thumpers. And I feel their fandom won’t slow down given it passes easily for the new eco requirements.

      @Confedyank 2 місяці тому

      I completely agree with motorsports no longer has a place in Olympics, and especially what you said to that. Only thing I could add is electric bikes being banned from tracks currently due to unable to handle the fires, & how dangerous they are when they do catch on fire.

    • @Confedyank
      @Confedyank 2 місяці тому

      As for seatbelts, @Jodyrides covered a lot on that, lol. But for rear cameras is also just extra weight on bikes, making them not exactly safe. Some people add them, but not most. Normally only reason I seen cameras added was for recording for uploading, not “safety.” Since normally being able to turn & look is easier. But if someone needs it because they can’t turn, I rather aftermarket that can be added than something included, unless brands especially like Suzuki, Honda, & Kawasaki will pull out their electrical harness & reduce weight of them before adding more things.

    Seatbelts on motorcycles are some of the dumbest things I ever heard of all they will do is kill the writer by being crushed by a motorcycle that he is writing or is she is writing it’s absolute ridiculous and it’ll never happen. How do you put airbags on the front of the motorcycles to help the rider slow down. At least that made some sense but seatbelts are insane on a motorcycle. We also don’t have Anti-whiplash devices on a motorcycle.

    A guy already had a working motorcycle running on hydrogen back in the 90s it was a yamaha and it ran on puting water in the tank that got turned into hydrogen to run the engine :-) a big company bought him out and the tech was never heard from again. Compressed hydrogen is not the answer folks water to hydrogen is the answer

      😃 Hi Jeff, so your in the know? Yes, supposedly Mr Meyer and a few other folks found ways to improve the efficiency of Water Electrolysis, using DC to AC, supposedly theres certain frequencies that you have to use to get the molecules to break apart easily using alot less electricity than the traditional 120V 240V AC. Supposedly its considered free energy and supposedly the over lords of the world dont like us to have free energy or low cost energy so its stomped on whenever it pops up. Mr Meyer passed away suddenly and his brother never took over. Its all kinda creepy.

      @MrSamadolfo yes and Mr Meyer car equipment and all his note was stolen from the garage when the family was making funeral arrangements never to be seen again :-( he was also using DC electricity with a square wave generator to separate hydrogen fron tge water. But they guy with the motorcycle in the 90s was using a different method that actually worked better using magnetic flux electricity from a transformer to actually make the water itself to burn :-) rumor has it that the department of defense bought out his technology bur nobody really knows who bought him out :-(

      @MrSamadolfo yeah me too maybe sombody with a big motorcompany nane behind them will start putting some money to it sounds like the Japanese have a pretty good start now if they will just get off the pressurized hydrogen kick :-)

      @@jeffborden9529 🙂 i agree but its not all a loss, at least right now they are doing the research on improving the internal combustion engine for H gas, thats a big plug plus. Down the line maybe somebody else will pop out with a modigied carburetor or modified fuel injectors to take us home
