Monsters being quicker and more aggressive was something I noticed as well with MH:Rise compared to World. I imagine the changes were made because the players are also quicker and more agile in Rise with the wirebug and associated new moves. Those poor Pukei-Pukei barely had time to fight back though! Good hunting :D
I had the same suspicions. In any case it makes the game a lot of fun, while feeling very challenging. But I like MH being challenging, feels great to conquer a difficult foe!
