Here's an idea that you could develop into an amusing story: Alien invasion force sends scout ship to monitor human communications. Connects to internet and views all these sci fi stories and reports back to command to retreat from human space, "They are too dangerous!"

A good alternate ending would be to have Amara see a cat. "What is that?". "OH, that's just a cat." Then another panicked reaction... "A WHAT?"
And then everything she thought she had learned was blown to pieces when she met her first cat!
Dont tell her that when lightning strikes or anything startles them, most dogs would just maul her either.
Naw she would think we were all jerks based on cats
the thing of amara's nightmares is the cure to human fears. it takes the comfort of a beast to chase away the nightmares that scare a human.

If the story writer/teller tells me one more time about the NIght terrors and cerulean folklore I may Just assume it/he/she thinks we are all idiots and have to be told the same facts over and over. Repetition does NOT make for a good story.

Years ago one of the pet supply stores in my city had a big rottie for a mascot.
He wouldn't let you enter or leave unless you paid the toll of pets and cuddles.

Why would they show her the hellhound Chihuahua they are the hell spawn of dogs that can go into a frenzy or shake uncontrollably for no reason.
Now we know this is entirely fiction a Chihuahua that did not snap out at someone.
Give me a big dog over these smaller ones at least you know where they stand.

As much as i love this, the focus on dogs is a bit of a shame. Dogs, while predators, are pack animals. And it is fun to hear of an alien fearing canine predators getting used to the thought that dogs can be companions.
But panthers and felines are nature's perfect killing machines, yet some of us keep cats just because we find them cute. An alien biologist who understands just how deadly cats are seeing a human hold one like a baby has such potential.
Am I the only who can hear a bit of ai in what was once a warm human voice relaying stories that transcend the universe?

You haven't noticed the occasional story where an ellipse is pronounced by the narrator actually saying the words "dot dot dot"?
Or in this story, how multiple times the narrator said "on Cerulean there was no bond between human and beast"
Like, no shit there's no human-animal bond on the alien ambassador's planet. This is a classic sign of an AI author unable to keep track of its frame of reference, but knowing what a sentence could look like, and then a different machine narrating right through how obvious that continuity error sounds.
@@coreyb5790I feel like there is a human writer sometimes, and other times it is written by an AI and edited by a human.
I don’t mind the idea of AI stories but when the human doesn’t put effort in to edit out the issues I start to see why people have such an issue with AI writers.
Why do all aliens have bio luminescence. All aliens glow? Why? Any earth glowing beings.
This is much more my style of Short Story.

He doesn't read this. A machine did the reading in his voice. Machines will narrate right through any errors that the AI author committed and not blink.

You don't need to go off-planet to find some things completely and utterly different to everything you've ever seen, known and done. Imagine indigenous peoples had all been resistant to European explorers.....
Are these Ai generated stories? This seemed to rehash the same scenes over and over again, asking the same questions, explaining the same feelings and “surprises”
The alien even seems to forget she already saw and interacted with a therapy dog!
Its either Ai or the writer never read through their own story.

I think what's happening is not that the voice is Ai, but the story itself was made by Ai. So the human narration comes off as Ai with all the repetition going on.
Multiple times it goes on and on about cerulean, fear, night terrors, how impossible or strange it was to see humans and dogs bond. Predator and prey relationship on Cerulean. Cracks in previous beliefs. Bioluminescence everywhere. Fear of night terrors again. Hesitancy. And more Hesitancy. Then explaining the fear again. On and on and on....
