There just aren't many Christian artists to compare with Twila. Blessings just pour out of my stereo speakers, computer speakers, car speakers....doesn't matter..lol....when I listen to this anointed music. She's simply one of the best. What an incredible concert video!
I love this version even more than the original. And I loved it then! Twila is in the top tier of Christian songwriters of the past 30 years. I'd place her in the same company as Keith Green, Michael Card, Rich Mullins, and Margaret Becker without batting an eye. Writers know she never got the respect she deserved because of the cookie-cutter production of her '80s albums. But the songs are SO powerful out from under all that filler. Also, I've met her, and she's just a great lady.
Sino po ang original singer?
Twila... if you ever happen to read this...... thank you! thank you! thank you! You have been such a blessing to so many weary souls!
Still one of the best Christian songs ever. Twila is a gifted song writer.
I love song 🎵
So true.
The warrior in us will always remain a child. We have our own battles in life, but God is the Commander of the Army and all we have to do is to get back to Him, refresh and return, and show the world what God's warriors are made of.
Thanks for the music Ms. Twila Paris.
I grew up listening to Twila. And after all these years this song still gives me goosebumps and I get all misty eyed :)
When I heard this song over 20 years ago, I identify with it immediately...
I still do...
Gracias Twila, my favorite song writer...
I remember seeing Twila Paris do this song in a concert. It still gives me HOPE for a better today and tomorrow.
This song reminds me everyday that even though I'm an adult on earth, I'm still a child in the eyes of our Lord and saviour. He begs us to come to HIM with every problem we have - big or small. I love you Lord!! Thank you for allowing me to live freely and without fear whenever and wherever I want to worship.
very inspiring. regardless of our age we all have the "childness" in us. Our God is awesome, who is always ready to pick us up.
Twila is such a blessing I praise God 4 her. This song has saved my heart from braking and me from shipwrecking.
For a long time, I wasn't a fan of Twila's, (nothing personal, she just wasn't my cup of tea) but NOW I'm convinced of her amazing talent and her music!
Oh, and her backing vocalist is simply AMAZING!!!
This woman blesses me just about everytime I listen to her music. Thank you Lord for using Twila to minister to me!
"I would rather die than to loose my faith in you".....I will trust you LORD
The ending with "Do I Trust You" is my favorite part. Such passion!
this song shows that god really is still blessing more people love the song it is awsome
To all our Frontliners on the field, thank you for your service.
Twila Paris is very talented child of God... keep it up! God Bless to you. You're a God choosen to HIs people to incourage, when it comes on the hard times.
Our Lord is good. His Mercy endures forever!
I was Blessed to have Twila Paris at our church in Tampa 80’s. She is AMAZING!!
I've loved this song since I first heard it 20 years ago. My mother passed away a few months ago and I had not been able to shed a single tear until I listened to this. I posted it on facebook and it also brought comfort to other women who have lost thier mothers. It really hit a spot with me about having to be the new matriarch of the family yet while dealing with my own loss. Thank you Twila.
Another inspirational Christian artist I listened too in the 80's. So wonderful and soothing.
I forgot all about this song until I came across it tonight. I would sing this song so many times during my marriage and raising the beautiful daughters the Lord blessed me with. THANK YOU LORD! I remember! Praise His Name!
Twila is great. My favorite is "Lamb of God," a song my praise band plays frequently.
LOVE HER! GREW UP LISTENING TO HER BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! GOD BLESS YOU TWILA.❤
Twila is so gifted! Her songs really touch the heart and spirit.
I remember this song from 30 years ago - it still brings tears. Recently part of the body of Christ has needed much encouragement and I've looked for the sheet music everywhere so it could be performed to lift them up. Still looking...
May His Beautiful Spirit continue to encourage the struggling ones of little faith, He is Risen in worship, He is Risen in action and He is Risen in deed, for greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world,
Arise ye warriors arise and worship the Lord
God Almighty, worship brings victory through Jesus
Simply amazing. Thank you Jesus that you give us such beautiful love songs to sing to you.
2 very beautiful songs to encourage and comfort us, Twila Paris has touched my heart for years. I have her CD’s, thank you
I love Twila! I sang this song at our church 6 yrs ago, and can still remember the emotions. I almost broke down in tears because I can totally relate to the message. Needless to say, I wasnt the only one in tears that day. The whole congregation joined me.. =]
This song is such a blessing for ALL OF US.
I really like the 2nd part of this medley. The song, "Do I Trust You" has been a true blessing for me over these last 5 years or so....This gifted artist's voice and piano are a sweet aroma to the King.
I love song i love song 🎶
These are two of the first songs I learned when I became a Christian. Thank you for posting. God bless you greatly, and God continue to bless Twila Paris!
I love this song ,it has healed my heart so many times I can't count
still get chills after so many years, didn't realize that she had been around for a while
Her music gets to my heart.thank you.
Many blessings on you, Twila. Thank you for your encouraging, passionate worship, that helps us express our heart to the Father.
Twila Paris's music is awesome! Had the privilege of seeing her twice in concert. What a blessing from God! She truly ministers through her music!
Love this song, it makes me cry everytime because it fits my life perfectly
One more thing about Twila's name recognition (or lack thereof). She may not have gotten the same success in selling albums as some other big names but what she lacks in record sales she makes up in prominence in hymnals.
I am crying right now!! I just love listening to these songs...especially now I am in the middle of a deadly disease...I know HE will always be my strength. HE is the only one who can and will save me and give me life...I WILL TRUST YOU LORD...
❤❤❤
Hello. I hope you are ok! God bless.
God bless you.
Thank God the Lord moved me to the bible belt after I got saved at 17 in my hometown.
I was blessed to have amazing sound biblical teachers and amazing music from gifted artists like Twilia Paris.
I wish Christian radio stations would play all the amazing artists from this time period.
Thank you Father God for our faithful families of faith everywhere.
Right? I think that KLOVE used to. I get KLOVE here in the Columbia SC area. They have stations everywhere but it's the same songs on repeat. KLOVE did bring back some of the older Christian music on a special week, they heavily promoted it. Anyway I used to live in Joplin Missouri, they were a church going town, one of the church organizations runs Ozark Christian College that used to operate Christian music station KOBC, and they played all the music that we don't hear no more. Great Christian station at one time. It ran for more than a decade, but it appears that KLOVE took over that station. I just checked online.
When YOU can't stand, He will hold you up. He Loves you, He walks with you. He is your everything you need.
This song has refreshed my soul to meny times to count. Thank God for Twila !
One of my favorite medley by Twila, so deep and so truthful for me
I fell in love with Twila's songs back in the 80's esta fue mi primera cancion que aprendi a tocar en el piano. Gracias y que Dios te bendiga Twila.
Wow great harmony with the backup vocalist....he is gooood!
Twila Paris was one of the first - if not THE first - CCM artist I ever heard and loved when I got saved. Her music was such a huge influence in my life. These two songs bring back so many memories!
Twila, your songs have gotten me through so much, and have put my focus on Christ always! God bless you so much for your gift of song!!
Wow! love this song...very heart warming - anne!
I will trust You, Lord, when I'm blind with pain!
*Confiaré en tí Señor cuando me ciega el dolor!
You were God before, and You'll never change.
*Tu fuiste Dios antes y nunca cambiarás!
I will trust You.
*Confiaré en ti!
I will trust You.
*Confiaré en tí!
I will trust You, Lord.
*Confiaré en tí Señor!
Such a precious woman of God! Such a kind and gentle spirit. I saw her in concert in Fort Lauderdale and met her and talked with her. Her music got me through so much she will always have a special meaning in my life💖🕇
Twila, Your m usic has ministered to me so many times during the years! Thank you for using your amazing gift to bless us over and over again!
Was fortunate enough to catch Twila Paris in concert a couple of times in a church setting and her music is wonderful.. and I love the back up singer and his trails. Choreographed and made warrior costumes for a group of kids I was working with in my church and we presented litergical dance to this song... it was very moving ❤️✝️
Twila Paris I do miss you. Your music has always been there for me when I needed it the most. Please come to the Christian music world and give us a good bye tour so we say good bye to you. May the lord give you peace where ever you are.
thanks for posting this is an awesome song
GOD BLESS YOU
I love her voice
We are warriors in this life, fighting spiritual battles, Let there be light ! Darkness has no part of us.
She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard
Chris Gallina She sings from the heart and composes most of her music.
I love song 🎵
Goodness, this song is great. I love everything about it. The lyrics, the melody, and the heartfelt message.
Thanks for the upload!
God bless you! (smile)
as awesome as ever ...thank you Twila!
this song helped bring my hubby to The Lord!
love from beverly
So sad that I never hear Twila any more on the Christian radio stations in my area. Nor Sandi Patty. One of my most riveting memories is seeing Twila in concert about a week after the 9/11 tragedy. She closed her concert by saying a few words about the tragedy, and then singing "God Is In Control". Everyone left feeling a little bit better. You had to be there, I can't put it into words.
❤️🙏
I agree and wish they would put songs like this on the stations
I once heard her on 91.3 FM The Fix for Saturday Morning Rewind
This song inspired me before when I first met the Lord... :')
... a piece of heaven on earth
HALLELUJAH! God your NAME IS AWESOM and Jesus You know our weaknesses but GOD FOR MORE GRACE TO TRUST YOU Hallelujah. I LOVE YOU LORD WITH ALL MY HEART, WITH ALL MY MIND AND ALL MY STRENGTH. Lord for more GRACE TO TRUST YOU MORE. AMEN
I sang this song with my youth director, Sharon Hartley, in front of my church when I was 15. I cried singing it because it fit my short life of 15 years of turmoil. I had no idea how true that song would still be & mean so much today. The turmoil has changed but I know now why we suffer what we suffer & how God uses that to be what He needs for us to be. It makes the suffering worth it. Be kind to one another, you may never know what a kind positive word or act can mean to someone. We all are wounded children.
I too sang it in High School, it had a powerful effect on me! How true it is, when were weak, we are strong!
How are you today?
I should have mentioned that I posted that when I was 44 years old, going through my fourth round (years) of the six treatments for Lymphoma as a single mom with a blessed support group!! By the Grace of God Almighty. 😬
Try Leslie Phillips' *Strength Of My Life*
"Warrior is a Child" is a classic gold standard song. Twila Paris was always one of my favorites. I first heard "Warrior" in the 80's and have related to it so many times. No one knows how frightened someone who looks like they have it all together may be. Courage is not the absence of fear but the facing of fear while trembling as a child~
i really love Twila Paris' music.God bless you Twila
Twila Paris, God bless her, she is amazing. A heavenly voice. There are no others like her.
Just revisited this after years while going through a struggle; the Lord definitely called me to sing the words from my heart which I did. Thank you Lord Jesus for always being a comfort in the storm.
I will trust You, Lord, when I don't know why.
I will trust You, Lord, till the day I die.
I will trust You, Lord, when I'm blind with pain!
You were God before, and You'll never change.
I will trust You.
I will trust You.
I will trust You, Lord
This ministered to me whike a friend and me were travekung one night and i cried so hard and wheb the last oart was beung sung about trusting God, wow, i cried harder. Before i knew ut i was just caught up in the spirit and presense if the lord and we just pulled rhe car over.
Warrior is a Child
*El Guerrero es un Niño.
Lately I've been winning battles left and right
*Últimamente he ganado batallas por doquier
But even winners can get wounded in the fight
*Pero aún los ganadores pueden salir heridos en la lucha
People say that I'm amazing
*La gente dice que soy increíble
Strong beyond my years
*Mas fuerte a través de los años
I saw Twila open for Leon Patlla in 1985 in Lancaster, PA. She was brand new and pretty much unheard of. When she was done, she was called back for 2 curtains calls! We were having church and didn’t want it to end, neither did Leon! Still one of the the best concerts (I use that term loosely now) I’ve ever attended.
My daughter used to listen to The warrior is a child when she was dying of cancer. It was her favorite song.
This is my "go-to" song when things don't go the way they were planned... :)
Poor blessed Twila...I can t imagine the pain she goes thru, her insecurities and fears must be many...the source of this beautiful music.
Our adult daughter had something happen yesterday that left her devastated. This song came on my Pandora station and I knew she needed to hear it.
Thank you so much. You inspired as a child. Now as an adult you songs describe me more than I like to admit. But every time I have a battle.. your song is in my head and heart. Thank you so much!So much peace you bring when I need it the most! God Bless you!
What a powerful song - truly inspired by the Holy Spirit of God's providence and protection and covering. Thank You, oh Lord, that I can run into Your Everlasting Arms.Dear Twila - I pray that you continue to live in the 'Center of God's Will'!
Wow! The Power of Salvation of Jesus Christ, Son of God !
The song is so true. Sometimes we fight against those who are led by the spirit of Satan and sometimes we feel bullied Yet I know GOD is faithful and my father love me through it all. Jesus is my Lord ❤
Two extraordinarily beautiful songs ...
Lyrics:
Lately I've been winning
Battles left and right
But even winners can get
Wounded in the fight
People say that I'm amazing
Strong beyond my years
But they don't see inside of me
I'm hiding all the tears
They don't know that
I go running home when I fall down
They don't know Who picks me
Up when no one is around
I drop my sword and cry for just a while
'Cause deep inside this armor
The warrior is a child
Unafraid because His armor is the best
But even soldiers need a quiet place to rest
People say that I'm amazing
Never face retreat
But they don't see the enemies
That lay me at His feet
They don't know that I go
Running home when I fall down
They don't know Who picks me
Up when no one is around
I drop my sword and cry for just a while
'Cause deep inside this armor
The warrior is a child
They don't know that I go
Running home when I fall down
They don't know Who picks me
Up when no one is around
I drop my sword and look up for a smile
'Cause deep inside this armor
Deep inside this armor
Deep inside this armor
The Warrior is a Child
Do I trust You, Lord? Does the river flow?
Do I trust You, Lord? Does the north wind blow?
You can see my heart, You can read my mind
And You've got to know, I would rather die
Than to lose my faith in the One I love
Do I trust You, Lord? Do I trust You?
I will trust You, Lord, when I don't know why
I will trust You, Lord, till the day I die
I will trust You, Lord, when I'm blind with pain
You were God before and You'll never change
I will trust You, I will trust You
I will trust You, Lord
I will trust You, I will trust You
I will trust You, Lord
I will trust You, I will trust You
I will trust You, Lord
these was revived by one of the famous singer in philippines..and this song strucked me so much the first time i listened to it. i felt that my life was too strong that noone noticed how i am so weak deep inside that all i can count on is GOD... the world is too much. but i can face its music because i trust HIM. as what i have watched with other videos.everything is so amazing yet nobody is happy. which is really true.... happiness is the LORD.with God in you...you will feel content and happy
This warriior IS a CHILD...Thank You LORD!
DEEP INSIDE THIS ARMOUR THE WARRIOR IS A CHILD.... "Beyond the rough exterior are diamond -like qualities that are waiting to shine"
I drop my sword and cry for just a while
*Bajo mi espada y lloro por un momento
'Cause deep inside this armor
*Porque en lo profundo de esta armadura
The warrior is a child
*La guerrera es una niña
Unafraid because his armor is the best
*Sin temor porque su armadura es la mejor
But even soldiers need a quiet place to rest
*Pero aún los soldados necesitan un lugar tranquilo donde descansar
May we always remember that even "the strong" need a friend, for at the end of their day, when they remove their "armor" and tend to the physical and emotional bruises of their day, they too need a soft place to land. May we be there for them with words of encouragement and compassion. As with the words in this song...." They don't know that I come running home when I fall down...They don't know who picks me up when there's no one around...I drop my sword and cry for just a while, cause deep inside this armor, the Warrior is a Child"....remember this next time you meet someone who seems to be strong on the outside...you may not know what life they live....and that their inner child may not be as strong as you may think...may love always be your guide....
Wow big words there where did u learned that from
Joyce, this song is one that I've always felt applies to me, but never could put the words to why. Thank you for sharing what this song truly means!!!! Blessings.
Joyce Smith ..... so well said thank you!
What a great response! Some of our strongest emotional Warriors go undetected or unappreciated. People are so used to thinking those individuals are strong that they don't stop to remember they are human beings, often towing the rest of folks along. What a tiring job!
I am crying while listening to this song.. I remember the time when I first met the Lord.... :')
Thank you Lord, you taught me how to trust you.. :')
Beautiful testimony!
Amen
A personal message from the Lord at this season of my life. Thank you!
It does not seem appropriate to say that I am a fan of Twila Paris since I went to see her perform at a church in South Bend over 25 years ago - when I asked for her autograph she wrote down a scripture reference that if memory serves was Ephesians 4:20, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
She is devinely inspired...
Her sweet and tender voice adds to the brokenness of the tired spirit which is wrapped and protected by the heart of steadfast faith, regardless of the fight ahead.
Still one of my favorite, go to, songs.
Nos combates tenho sido vencedor.
Saibam, pois, que ao cair eu oro ao meu Deus.
But they don't see inside of me
*Pero ellos no ven que dentro de mí
I'm hiding all the tears
*Escondo todas las lagrimas
(Coro)
They don't know that I go running home when I fall down
*Ellos no saben que voy corriendo a casa cuando caigo
They don't know who picks me up when no one is around
*Ellos no saben quien me recoge cuando no hay nadie alrededor
Hello y’all I’m James, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 34. I’ve been fighting it every day since. Due to that I have several vertebrae out of place. Needless I’m in constant chronic pain I’ve had 3 brain surgeries to place Deep Brain Stimulation. It has helped , but after 3rd surgery. I became immune to any RX pain medication as well as otc. Needless to say I’m in constant pain. Nothing can be done to alleviate the pain due to my tremors. My pelvis is separating from my hips. Pain is constant with lower back, pelvic area and legs. This song I have taken it as my favorite song. As far as going home and falling on my knees. It’s due to PD. That song resonates so much that I’ve tell ppl to listen to it. That gives them a different perspective on when they say I look stronger and appear to have nothing hurting or bothering me. I am so grateful for the lyrics of this song. And appreciative of Ms. Paris singing it.
Thanks for sharing your story. I prayed for you to have relief and healing.
Thanks for your prayers. I am a God fearing Christian. I placed it all on Gods hand. I could share with you so much more of my accomplishments as well as failures.
"I will trust You Lord, though I don't know why..."Sometimes we have just got to lay it right there...make the choice to trust God even when it does not make sense to us...God has a plan (Jeremiah 29:11) and He knows the way He taketh...God, I choose today to trust You. I need to find employment and I will trust that You will come through and make the way. You are my (our) Provider).I will trust You, Lord!Hallelujah! Amen!
Thank you I will trust you Lord
yes i will trust you lord till the day i die,....
Beautiful music. So true
