Often in videos like this after the engine is up and running the cameraman goes to the rear of the car to document the sound of the engines exhaust. I have never seen them do that with diesels. Maybe because the diesel's are generally unpleasant sounding. (diesel's nuts) =D

Tds is great when is functional but there's no rule, some are super reliable but in most cases it got problems with fuel pump and head crack/warp. Its successor the M57 common rail is waaaaay better and more reliable engine. Range Rover use m57 as I know.

do you have to pay insurance for all that cars? here in poland, we have to pay for every car we own, unless we are used car dealer or registered junkyard, no matter what, how it looks in your country?
masz rację I think in estonia if the car is not registered or is registered for not road use then you don't need insurance. Basically you register them as "non moving"
In estonia you can “unregister” car in internet until you dont drive with it and when you do inspection then you need to register again and pay for insurance. 😀
I miss my E34, she was so reliable...she was stolen while at the garage for a window problem. A bunch of teenagers stole or attempted to steal 14 cas this particular weekend, including mine of course...they burnt her in a field. On the monday morning the garage's owner called me asking why i did came during the weekend to take my car back as the repair was not done, he looked for the car in his park and couldn't find it, so his first thought was that i should have come back to take the car back...the guy never thought that she could have been stolen during the weekend as it was an open car park....two weeks later for insurance issue, i had to go to another garage to ID the corpse....yes it was her....burnt down to the BBS wheels that had almost entirely melted...i could not even keep one of the numbers plates for memories as they were also lost.
E34 and e39 are absolute peak BMW 👍👍

Hm not really. TDS is known for its problems with fuel injection pump, head crack/warp. For diesel bmw-s I'd chose a M57 engine.

Even tho it's not a e38 I dropped a tear because it instantly reminded me of the Russian film Бумер/Boomer.
I miss my E34, she was so reliable...she was stolen while at the garage for a window problem.
