Hi, thanks for the review. Based on the gained information, noone who is sane would buy it. You have saved many people their money.
1:00 It literally says on the wrap, 14,8 Wh. That is 4Ah.
4:24 So I need to click through blinking and SOS to go from low to high ? That sounds like the most basic flashlights with universal PWM controller. Moreover, to turn it on with short press and turn off with long hold doesn't really make any sense.
4:57 Typical timed turbo mode, that is only present in cheapest flashlights (+ Fenix). Not only you must keep re-entering the turbo to keep the brightness when you need it, but it also can overheat and melt the TIR most probably.
5:43 Even more useless crap. Luminous flux decrease to just 20% ? What if you really need that amount of light you just set?
7:00 Both CRI and CCT seem to be terrible.
So in conclusion, this flashlight should cost 2/3 of the actual price, as for the same price you can get much better flashlights.

Hi mate, yes it could be improved by adding a better driver, spring... there are significant shortcuts taken in this model. If you could get it for cheaper, it would be worthwhile. Thanks

I started my collection with Astrolux. ST01, EC01 and EA01(single led not available anymore) good budget lights esp the EA01 and EC01 both with Anduril. ✌️

Hi Darren. Is it a good product for 25USD or is it worth paying 8USD more for the Sofirn IF22A? 🙄🤔
    Greetings.

The IF22A also has a FET driver but has a better UI and long distance performance. If you want a floodier light get the EP05, otherwise the IF22A has better construction/design.

Yeah, very cool white. Would be good to have a warm alternative.

One of flashaholics favorite lights for some reason.

Would have been a good light with 90 CRI and moonlight...

Click through strobe mode to get to a lower brightness?

      @DarrenYeoYT  5 місяців тому

Unfortunately so. They should have separated it out via triple click.

@@DarrenYeoYT I agree. Astrolux had better controls in the past. This is probably a big step back?

I wonder if their Mateminco builds are any good. This is not bad if you can get it for cheap. @@gs78798

@@DarrenYeoYT Watched the video again. For me the user interface is a not acceptable (strobe in cycle and hold for off). But you also compare EP05 to Sofirn IF25A. To me the beamshots of IF25A look noticeable brighter, brighter flood, more throw and less stepdown after some time. All that despite having only four LEDs and having a smaller head diameter. Additionally there is the choice of leds in IF25A (cold white for even more brightness or neutral/warm white). But that's just me. Which one do you prefer? Thanks for the review and beamshots! 🙂

@@gs78798hi mate, if it comes down to those two, the IF25a. Brighter and built better. If you could get the EP05 for less, might be worth it.
