I checked out this property on Google Earth. Love the village with access to many sights of interest nearby. This property is in a prominent place and would make a truly great B+B, small hotel with owners/managers accommodation with just enough secure parking for guests. I can see quaint outside seating areas and the balcony/garden festooned with flowers. I just love it and I can't believe the negotiable price. You presented this property very well. I suppose it's been sold by now. I wouldn't mind staying there myself.

5 Rue Jean Brac, Lussac-les-Églises, France appears to be a good location, it called my attention the fact that are many cars parked at the edge of the property (under the windows) and the fact that there is a neighbour house attached, maybe are the reasons for the low price. Really nice property for the price and certainly for someone not afraid of challenges.
Loads of potential & all that garden could be lovely if given some privacy from the road side with a great fence/shrubs etc ! The extra garages are good if you need storage for your business or such. In fact it would be an ideal place to house a business of some sort. Great potential, solid walls, just needs imagination & some love. Could be a very handsome property IMO !

That white coating on the pipes in the basement that looks kind of like a medical cast is actually asbestos. That's likely the main reason for the low cost.

I really do not understand the negative comments, you get what you pay for but in this case you get a whole lot more and for anyone interested in investing some time and effort to bring it up to an acceptable standard this is an absolute bargain for the price, something you would never find in the UK.

We’re not sure on exactly when it was built but it’s certainly one of the originals in the town

what are the terrible problems?
There are no terrible problems as such, the windows are single glazed and the decoration as you can see definitely needs an update
One side of the roof appears to have been redone (possibly around the 70s) but the other side is in poor shape, you can see the large chinks of light. It's no doubt the original roof, I would say from around 1880. The house is charming, but Caveat Emptor!
