I think it turned out great, I like the natural colouring.

      Thank you! 😊
It's something that I want to explore more, as it was a fun challenge and really took me outside of my comfort zone.

I grew up with metal/lead figures painting with enamels before Tamiya came along. If I was back in 1988 I would be so motivated to see a woman/girl (sorry :}) enjoying miniature painting, but of course there must have been some. I'm getting back into it, and your tutorial is awesome, thanks Angela

Welcome back! That's great to hear that you are getting back into the hobby. I'm glad you have found the videos helpful!
Certainly there were, but it's nice that the community as a whole has changed a lot and is a lot more inclusive these days. : )

Great job. Yeah it's a bit muted compared to your usual style but still well executed. Gotta compliment your kilt too. Very close to my own tartan. ❤

My kilt came with the costume, it'a actually all one piece. One day I will own a real one! : )

Nice intro and nice figurine. Great job ! Small question: have you thin the paints given with the box or did you use it as it is ?

I definitely had to thin my paints!

I must admit that the intros are making me laugh. Today’s was somewhat redolent of Monty Python, both your “acting” and the voice over!
As someone who grew up with enamel paints and am now coming back to the hobby after a huge break, I struggle with thinning the different brands and colours of acrylic paints and am rapidly veering to contrast paints. I think you did a great job and while it shows how far I still have to go to do even a half way decent job, your work does help show me light at the end of the tunnel and that greater experience dealing with the paint will bring rewards. Thank you for being so honest in the video - too many people seem to edit their videos to show everything going perfectly every time.

That makes me so happy to hear! Thank you! 💜💜💜
Honestly, thinning my paints is something that I really struggle with as well, and often forget to do it when I am using standard paints. Which is exactly why I love Contrast paints as much as I do. They are thinned already, flow how I expect them too, and yet I get vivid colors still and I adore the results.
The best part about them though, for me, is that they have allowed me to become more confident in my skills which means now I am experimenting in blending all the paints and techniques to see what neat effects I can get, and it's been so exciting!

I feel like it will end up involving Matt Mercer and crew if they do!

It does seem to be a North America focused event... 😖
Maybe Wizkids will expand it out to include more part of the world in the future! It is a very new program, and this is the first one where it's been an actual kit, so they might still be working out their distribution and support capabilities for the events.

I hope so but wizards of the coast isn't really focused on any other part of the world apart from North America and to some extent Canada but Europe is like at the always at the back of their mind and I find that to be true of several other American companies such as hasbro which I know owns wizards of the coast and Sideshow collectibles and companies of that nature I don't know why they're like that it's especially bad when they release a exclusive only available from a certain stores because none of the stores you have there are over here I just can't fathom why they do this do they not want our money??? 🤔 I just find it incredibly puzzling that a company would operate like this 😳 anyway I digress I did like this video and I'm glad your husband is taking part a bit more that's something you don't get with a lot of channels it's nice to see couples doing stuff together 😊

This is what I’d found too,I’ve come to this as I’ve bought a smaller version they do here,or it maybe a Reaper miniature ?,it is smaller and doesn’t come with paints so I was looking for colour ideas.

I wish you would let the rotation go sideways so viewers can get a better picture
