    BJJ is my jam but I really appreciate the quality of this guy's movement and how he controls distance. Looks to my uneducated eye that he gets his uke to slightly overcommit each time before taking advantage. Smooth movement on the ground too.

    Despite all of the many quite legitimate criticisms of ninpo/taijutsu etc., I have to say I'm very impressed with his movement, timing, and distancing.

    Thank you for sharing this video that made me want to come and train with Tezuka Sensei even before arriving in Japan. He is a sensei as technically incredible as he is humanely benevolent. I look forward to returning regularly to follow his teaching.

    In over forty years this is first black belt I've seen with a twist on the side. Everyone is too afraid to point it out? lol

      @hanadojo  Рік тому +1

      I'm not sure I'm understanding what do you mean. What is a twist on the side?

    • @trailwomanrc
      @trailwomanrc Рік тому +1

      @@hanadojo The left hip of the belt looks like it has a twist in it. Maybe because it is aged, it is more flexible and easier to over look or more easily twisted from being active.

    EXCELENTE sensei wataru tezuka, pero los atacantes dejan mucho que desear, lamentablemente en este ambito el 80 % de los grandes grados no tienen ni la menor idea de como hacer un "tsuki no hay SANSHIN de nada, así que la técnica es fácil de hacer cuando el atacante golpea a un lado del rostro y no en el rostro.....

      Legal to carry swords where I'm from in Texas. Use your imagination, it could also be someone with a machete. The technique may be old, but it's adaptable, that's the point.

      ...Ok; but how will any martial art or collection of assault rifles locked in your personal armory protect you from a Drone Strike while you are asleep in your bed?
      Sometimes, we need to think beyond what is superficially practical and preserve things from the past. The world is richer for these arts being preserved.

      But how do know if you can pull of the techniques without pressure testing? Gotta get a dummy sword and really practice those techiques
