I’m so happy that your surgery went well! I had the same surgery done in 2010 and it was the best thing that I could have done for me. I had multiple tennis ball size fibroids, very painful and heavy periods that lasted for 2-3 weeks, I was severely anemic and exhausted. My recovery was very smooth and easy, no pain meds required. I used hot and cold packs only. Kudos to you! I wish you a speedy recovery! Also, you mentioned getting a thermal printer. I got one in 2019 just before the pandemic and I have not had any issues with it so far. I enjoy your videos, keep up the great work! 😊
Thank you for sharing your health story with us. I had a hysterectomy last year with a lot of complications. In fact I couldn't go home and had to be hospitalized overnight. Here I am a year later and I was just thinking that I finally feel like my body has finally healed. I wish I had someone to talk to about this before because when things go wrong you feel like your the only one. Make sure to take it easy even when you think you are better!
I'm sorry to hear that you had so many complications, but I'm happy to hear you are feeling healed and better. I hope you continue to feel better and better! Thank you for the reminder to take it easy, I overdid it a couple times and need to remember that I'm not invincible....
I’m glad that your surgery went well Amy! It’s tough when our healthcare providers won’t listen I’m glad you were persistent. It’s mostly due to money and insurance unfortunately! Being on top of it and being an advocate for ourselves is the key!
I am glad that your surgery went well. Thank you for sharing your experience - I am sure it will help others. I am glad that your surgery kept advocating for yourself till you got an answer.
Glad that your surgery went well. I totally agree with you about advocating for yourself. My daughter kept having stomach issues and the drs kept brushing her off saying it was gluten, dairy, stress, hemorrhoids, etc. A few years of getting brushed off she finally demanded a colonoscopy and she was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer at the age of 38. So yes, advocating for yourself is so important.
I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. It makes me so sad and angry that it is so hard to get Drs to listen to us. I hope she is doing ok, saying a prayer for her.
So glad your surgery went well! I had stage 4 endometriosis. Extremely paunful!! I had a complete hysterectomy 2001at 38 years old. I was told I would be hospitalized for 5 days because of the extent of my issues or 7+ days if there were problems. My issue was I did not bleed externally, I was bleed internally filling my abdomen. So my organs, uterus, colon and bladder had fused together with the endometrium fiber scar tissue. And I was feeling ill all the time from digesting the blood. I could not move without my inside pulling and hurting. So after the surgery, on Good Friday March 13th, (talk about a scary date to have surgery!) I was in less pain than I was before. I was discharged out of the hospital at 5am Easter Sunday morning after only 2 days. (46 hours) It only hurt when i laughed. I only used tynol after the first night. Best thing I ever did!!! Sounds like you have had them same easy road. My prayers go out to all who have not had it so easy. But know if you have to have one there are stories out there that are of good outcomes. So dont be scared! Much ❤ to you all. And thanks for all your great video's. I try not to miss any!
Thank you so much for openly sharing your health experience. I so sorry you went through that stress but an so happy for you that the surgery sounds successful and should make you feel better going forward. I’m praying for a happy and healthy 2025 for you💕
I'm so glad you're surgery went well, and that you kept on top of it with your doctors. I had a similar experience with huge fibroids that you could see when i lay on my back, and I had my hysterectomy at 35 (12 years ago), and it has been the best decision. I kept my ovaries, too.
So happy your surgery went well, very important that you persist when you know things arent right with your own body. Pets always know when we are not well and want to be with us.
Getting a thermal printer was one of those things we waited years to do, and since we got it, we can not believe we ever lived without one! Nelko is ours. Labels are cheao and we have had 0 issues. Paper jams are very easy to fix and it has been great.
Thank you for sharing. I wish you continued healing. I’ve had similar experiences recently with Women’s health issues. It’s great you are spreading the word about the importance of advocating for ourselves and being persistent. Great video! Happy New Year!
Amy I’m so happy to hear how well you are doing 🙏🏼 That is definitely scary to go through- you are brave! Something Im learning is how much your mental wellbeing affects your whole being- you being so positive and having a good outlook on things is so powerful!❤ You are inspiring and wish you well, blessings in this new year❤❤
Happy to hear your surgery went well! I was surprised to learn i had fibroids as well last year after suffering from prolonged periods. I was terrified of the idea of surgery to get them removed while awake. I thought i was clear with past doctors when advocating for pain management when getting 2 consecutive IUDs that were BRUTAL and traumatic only to be told pain management was not an option. I told my new doctor I would have to be put under, but he was so kind and made a plan to stay awake with pain management as well as a couple Valium. Surgery was a breeze and so non eventfull. Now I know to not just "advocate" but to actually demand to have pain relief, and 2 Valium for anxiety prescribed if I ever need another IUD or a scary surgery in the future 💓💊🧘♀️
So glad your surgery went well. ❤ nice of you to share your experience. I had a hysterectomy 3 yrs ago at 41 and it was the best health thing I’ve ever done for myself. Wish I could have done it years earlier. Mine also went well and my recovery was good too. I was working from home by day 4. So glad you’re doing good. Hope your 2025 is amazing. 🎉
Amy, so pleased to hear your surgery went well and thank-you so much for sharing with us. I too had a hysterectomy - although a full surgical one. (Pre-cancerous) My recovery was speedy even though I had a 3 day hospital stay pain was minimal. I was back at my full-time job in 5 weeks. Interestingly when you mentioned your eyesight- 5 days at home after surgery I needed to get some drug-store reading glasses. My doc said vision changes can be triggered by surgery. I have a Jaden’s thermal printer and love that I just print my labels from my phone via blue-tooth. I researched and it was much less than the other well known brands and came highly recommended. Julie from Casa Chic has the same one.
Thank goodness everything went well for you ❤️ I had same surgery 3wks ago, I had complications due to large fibroids and cyst. Please no heavy lifting I learn hard way. You look amazing btw I am still in pj everyday.
Thank you! I really hope you feel better and better each day. I have been very careful about lifting and trying to not overdo it. BTW, I'm still wearing sweatpants everyday, just trying to make my top presentable for videos. LOL
Happy to hear that your surgery went well and that your experienced minimal pain, Amy! In this day and age, no physician especially OB-GYNs and female NPs, should be doubting what a female patient is complaining about! I'm not only a zoologist but have worked in medical research for 45 years and never let physicians (and veterinarians for my animals) get away with shooing off my concerns. In fact, when I was 38, I started peri-menopause and knew it from my symptoms, but my OB-GYN who I worked with doing research wouldn't believe it. I ordered hormone tests and showed them to him proving my point. I told him that he better be listening to his patients from now on and he promised he would. LOL Hugs, sweetie! Happy New Year to you, your hubs and pets!
While we’re at it…my 27 yr old had Type 1 diabetes and they kept doing Covid tests but weren’t drawing blood 😵💫 THEN my husband had back pain and they kept doing chest X-rays which were clear😵💫he had Multiple Myeloma. Both went to several doctors, clinics and ERs
I'm so sorry to hear about you daughter and husband. I hope they both were able to get the help they needed. Its so sad and upsetting that our medical system seems so inept.
I had fibroids and an ovarian cyst-all benign, thank the Lord. I’m glad that you had no cancer. I was already into menopause so I had my ovaries removed, too, because my mother had passed away from breast cancer at age 55. I hate it when women don’t get taken seriously as much as men. I’m a retired RN so nothing is TMI to me.
I am so glad everything is going so well after surgery. I had to have a hysterectomy in my very early 30s. I had endometriosis very very bad. Before they found it, when I complained to my first obgyn about the pain. His response was you are a woman it's normal learn to live with it. Needless to say I didn't go back to him. I found a new amazing obgyn who found the endometriosis and tried treating it with medication. When that didn't work he did the hysterectomy. So I know how you feel. You are such an amazing person. Thanks for letting us know what you had done and sharing your story. So happy everything is going good for you. Don't over do it get your rest. Happy New Year!!
So glad you’re healing well and quickly. I purchased a Jaden thermal printer bc I couldn’t afford the Rollo. The Jaden has worked perfect except one time something happened (operator error). I called their support number and the man had it working again in a matter of minutes. Had to re-install the software or whatever it was. So if anyone has a tight budget, the Jaden is great. Happy New Year!
I'm so glad all went well with your surgery Amy. My sister-in-law will be going through this soon so I will pass along some of the things you said to help put her mind at ease, thank you. You'll love having a Rollo printer. I love mine. The only hiccup I've had with it is that I tried some labels I'd gotten for free in it by another brand and it didn't work properly with them. I bought Rollo branded labels on a great BOGO sale last Labor Day I believe it was. Saw the ad pop up on my IG fee. Look for that! Maybe they'll have another one for Memorial Day.
Thank you! Oh, I'm so happy that I may be able to help put her mind at ease. I really hope her surgery goes well and her recovery is easy. Thank you for the ROLO suggestion, I can't wait to get mine.
Happy New Year 🎆🎊!! Watching this on 1/2/2025. I’m so thankful that you are doing so well after your surgery. You look great! I had that surgery at age 51.❤/Those size 4-1/2 boots might fit a teenager or a woman with very small feet. They are cute. You always find the cutest boots 👢!/You are the estate sale queen 👸; you should go to all of those you can.😂
I waited 6 months to get a thermal printer and after I got it- I felt like I had wasted 6 months of my life! LOL. I have been using a Jadens Thermal Printer (Amazon) for 2.5 years and I LOVE it. It was only about $60. Never had an issue and I've saved a TON of $ not using ink!
I can't wait to get mine, I can't believe I waited this many years. Sometimes I'm just to stubborn and cheap for my own good. Thank you for the suggestion.
Question for you or other resellers watching… Do you look up items and comps on your phone while at Estate Sales? Wanting to start going to Estate Sales in my area but fear it will be awkward checking items on my phone the whole time. Thank you for sharing your sales. Always enjoyable to watch.
Hi! Yes, I do check comps on some things, depending on the price. Some items I have come to know values so I don't have to. Don't feel awkward, we need to do what best for our business'.
Jeans that sell fast for me on PM. $65+ Veronica Beard , Frame flare, Rock Revival, SLVRLAKE, SPRWM, NWT Judy Blue Flare (only) TRIPP, Jenko (vintage) Mens Gustin. Selvedge jeans, Straight leg Wide leg Flare styles. Blue black white color. Hope that helps💕
Happy New Year. Happy to hear your surgery went well. Wishing you a healthy and speedy recovery. Its a shame that we have to fight to have doctors take us serious. I like you wrote a list to share with my doctor because I didn't want to omit anything -- to my surprise, she said "I can't get to all of those today". Mind you, I only wanted to share what I was experencing nothing that would require any extra effort other than listening and perhaps making any coorelation between the symptoms.🤔 Needless to say, that soured me on my doctor. On to a lighter subject -- that "Tits up" comment literally made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the video. Wishing us all a healthy, successful new year thrifting and reselling.
Happy New Year! Its such a shame that Dr's don't have the time or take the time to hear us out. I feel like our medical system is broken right now. Hoping it turns around soon.
I left a comment last night - it seems it was deleted. So to sum up the original comment. Glad you are recouping well. I use the Rollo wireless thermal printer.
Hi Kat! I've had other people say that their comments get deleted too, I don't know why UA-cam does that sometimes. Thank you for always leaving me kind and clever comments, I really appreciate it!
My hysterectomy was similar to yours. I had mine about 9 years ago. Mine was laparscopic as well. I still have my ovaries and still have occasional pain from those. But I had worse issues with the pain meds. They gave me very vivid dreams that I would act out in my sleep. After I punched my husband in my sleep, I stopped them. Lol! But I was walking around the block 2 days afterward. Glad you are doing well and having less pain!
Oh my, that’s wild about the pain meds. They’ve never made me feel great, so I always try to avoid them when I can. Glad to hear you had an overall easy time too! 🩵
I’m so happy that your surgery went well! I had the same surgery done in 2010 and it was the best thing that I could have done for me. Thank you! ❤️ I'm so glad to hear you had a smooth surgery and recovery as well. Here's to a happy healthy new year for all of us. 🤩
Rollo! I have had mine since 2019 and I order free labels with a business UPS account. I wish I ordered the wireless one so I can print from my phone
Wow! I didn’t know you could get free labels from USPS! I’m in the market for a thermal label printer too. I will check Rollo out. Thanks!
Thank you! Great to know about the free labels!

Glad your surgery went well!! I’ve used the same Rollo printer for over 2 years now with no problems. They have great online support too.
Thank you! 💗
That’s great to know about Rollo. 😊
I’m glad that your surgery went well Amy! It’s tough when our healthcare providers won’t listen I’m glad you were persistent. It’s mostly due to money and insurance unfortunately! Being on top of it and being an advocate for ourselves is the key!
Thank you! Yes, sadly I agree that money and time can be a much bigger factor then we think in the medical industry.
I am glad that your surgery went well. Thank you for sharing your experience - I am sure it will help others. I am glad that your surgery kept advocating for yourself till you got an answer.

Thank you! Interesting to hear about your eyesight changes, my Dr didn't mention anything about it either. Thank you for the printer recommendation!
Really appreciate you sharing your surgery story! Glad you are doing well.
❤️💗❤️ Thank you
Thanks for sharing your very personal information! The same thing happened to my sister years ago. So glad you are taking care of yourself!

I think the Roots Canada jacket is from the Winter Olympics Utah.
You're right! Thats what I discovered when I did some research.
Happy New Year 🎆🎊!! Watching this on 1/2/2025. I’m so thankful that you are doing so well after your surgery. You look great! I’m in the market for a thermal printer too. Not sure which brand is best. I’m hoping for something easy to set up and use.
Sounds like most people are suggesting ROLO and Jayden printers. I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date on what I get and how I like it.
❤
❤️❤️
