"You will die as your weakling father died. Honourless. Soulless. Weeping. Ashamed." -Last words of Sigismund to Abaddon while bleeding to death on the Eternal Crusader
Rogal would be proud of his son. Even in death, Sigismund defied Abbadon, never giving Abbadon the satisfaction of victory. Rest in the Emperor’s arms, Champion of the Black Templars, you have earned your peace, and your place among the Emperor’s Finest.
I'd love to see Dorn's reaction to his Son now, being as how they had a bit of a troubled relationship near the end there! I like to imagine he'd be proud, indeed. Thanks for watching!
@@OljeiKhan I love the Idea, that the Emperor claimed a Pocket in the Warp for the Souls of his bravest Soldiers. That he can sometimes re-summon as the Legion of the Damned.
Well, as I understand, Dorn disappeared during the first black crusade, so he outlived Sigismund. Such a pity that GW hasn't yet written book about him and his feelings after loosing all of his brothers after Heresy
Remeber boys and girls the only one who could ever stand toe to toe with sigismund in a duel was that handsome devil Jago, and he had precognisition abilities.
If Sigismund ever managed to ascend to the legion of the damned you best be sure to clip his arms and cut of his head because even dismembered he will still grab for his sword and try to bite anything that moves close to him.

The penultimate ending for Abbaddon Wish his story ended there, with the best opponent he had, and the only astartes he wished to spare death and a warrior he likely aspired to be like before turning to chaos. Him fighting Sigismund was just so top tier and raw.
Sigi was such a badass they gave his body and sword back untouched the man went on the biggest tear and was most feared that’s another level of respect through great fear
What's crazy is that Sigismund did that much damage and he wasnt even using the Black Blade. As Abbadon mentions, Sigismund already knew his only hope of killing him was via a mutual death blow so before the duel he ordered some of his brothers to leave and take the sword with them.
I see a vision in my mind, of a scene that marks the end of an age for the Milky Way Galaxy. I see Terra under siege once more, the sky twisting in foul colours as battle is waged between the foulest abominations and the most righteous champions. But it is not merely the Imperium facing down the full might of the Chaos gods unified in their goal to destroy the Anathema, alongside the men of the guard I see Orks firing enough shots to destroy a titan in seconds as they bellow their shared war cries of rage and mourning for a great man taken so cruely, besides Sisters I see Votann deliver a punishing wrath of grudges earned a thousand times over, among the Titans I see T'au power suits delivering a thousand mighty blows with each second that passes, within Mechanicus formations I see Necron forces marching forward without hesitation or remorse, and I see the Astartes and Eldar dance together delivering death to each and every foe before them. During this battle I see duels of which a thousand songs for millions of years to come, the Prophet of Mork and Gork vs the Red Angel, the Archpriest of the Primorial Truth vs the Raven Lord, First Daemon Prince vs the Prodigal Son, the Phoenician Reborn vs the Serpentine Abomination, and the Forgotten God vs the Man for Who the Galaxy Cheered. But as all these mighty battles occurred under a thousand eyes there was one unseen but all but being fought inside the Imperial Palace beyond the Infinite Gate between the War Master and the Last Soldier of Unification. As the two unparalleled warriors fought with all the fury stored up throughout the entirety of their long lives striking more blows strengthened by more rage than any other set of combatants on the planet. It was if time and space faded from existence, only their fight mattered. Each movement intended to both take the opponent's life and defend one's own. Evenly matched the two fought for near the full extent of the siege without notice of the other events of the legendary battle without landing a single blow on one another for days on end. In the final days of the siege there was a shockwave through the immaterium as the first Chaos god was slain that reverberated through Abbadon's very soul as the boons from that foul power faded away. Realizing his weakened state, the Master of the Black Legion was forced to change his focus from killing his enemy to defending himself from his adversary's lethal intent. After the first cruel consciousness was erased from existence it was as if load bearing pillar had been smashed as one by one each one of the remaining Greater Beings of the Warp met their just destruction until only one remained. As Abbadon felt his strength sapped from him the Golden Warrior realizing the diminishing power and speed of his foe poured out every last ounce of energy he had left severing both of the Despoiler's arms at the cost of one of his own. With both of his arms falling away beside him Abbadon fell to him knees knowing he was finally defeated. He felt hears flow from his eyes despite his attempts to resist them. He felt weak, ashamed, alone. As these emotions over took him a single memory ran through his mind and Abbadon fearfully whispered a single word before the Thunder Warrior put a bolter shell straight through the back of his skull: "Sigismund".
Like before your voice continues to soothe my very soul with each passing word as if a host of angels were carrying them upon wings of love and tranquility is this what Slaanesh corruption feels like?
And this was the second time they fought. The first time was in the imperial palace during the siege and Abaddon got ported out after Sigismund kicked the crap out of him. This story was what, hundreds of years later where Abaddon had spent a lot of his time in the timeless warp and Sigismund spent his time in real space, aging normally? Not only that, Abaddon was kitted out much better than Sigismund.
Oh it gets better. Sigismund isnt even using the Black Sword here - the one he was using during the Heresy "that could cut through anything" , because like Abaddon said, Sigismund planned to strike him down even if he left himself open to a counter attack so Sigismund sent some of his brothers back to the Eternal Crusader with the Black Sword so the traitors couldn't claim it. So Sigismund punched through Terminator plate with a normal sword XD
