My Granma just passed from Alzhheimers. She was my world. She lit up when I came in the room, but never did that for anyone else. She still remembered the love; just not who I was. So many thanks to The Donnie Trio for putting my feelings into words and for the healing, even if this song was written about something else. It relates to me and it helped me.
This song comes to mind every couple of years since hearing it for the first time in 2011. With the thought in mind that I've played etudes by chopin, battered the drums to Metallica, soaked up compositions by Zimmer, not to mention composed scores myself for the likes Of AMG, Nat Geo, etc, a diverse taste in music to conclude... I can quite easily say it would sit fine with me if this was the last song I'd ever get to hear before being laid to rest.

I could only remember a few of the lyrics, and even recorded myself singing it to be sure I would remember the tune/melody properly. After a few weeks of searching I gave up. And then it came up on my Pandora today. So, just so you know, today your song gave someone a "HOLY SHIT!!!!" moment.
