There is not currently a super simple way to do it. There is only one emulator that I know of which shows the extra vertical pixels, and you can find that by googling Mednafen DOOMDAY edition - special emulator with extended features. From there, you would need to get 0948g9.7z. In mednafen-09.cfg, you would need to change one of the options to look like this. Custom Y value(only 240 mode) md.screen_y 480. mega.nz/file/EtQV1ZwA#x9SjvS0WayWlJ2eWJyt2-bnEGNsMOJRDS_1eEr_0iL8 These are the patch files which work with the program Lunar IPS. There definitely is a way to make one rom work for all of the maze types, but I wasn't able to do that. I would use cheats instead of patches, but I'm not 100% sure how to use this type of cheat with the emulator Mednafen.
I don't think I can help you with that. There supposedly is a Linux version of Mednafen, but the version needed for this hack is a specific modded version by Doomday, and I believe that is only compiled for Windows.
@@arronmunroe I'm currently trying this. How do you get the game to stretch properly in fullscreen mode? I can see the full maze with no camera scroll successfully, but the size of the game screen looks tiny and slightly to the upper part.
It seems I actually posted a bigger than necessary number. In the cfg file, we can change this number to 330 for the regular size stages. The number would need to be higher if you are on the big maps. Also, I'm unsure if you're using the right stretch option. I personally think that "stretch to fill screen" should be set to "aspect". ;Custom Y value(only 240 mode) md.screen_y 330
